Never immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid, nor rinse it under the tap. Use only a moist cloth to clean the motor unit. Warning

Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.

If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Do not use the appliance if the plug, the mains cord or other parts are damaged.

Never use the blender jar or mill beaker to switch the appliance on and off.

Never let the appliance run unattended.

This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.8 English

Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

Children shall not play with the appliance.

Do not touch the blades, especially when the appliance is plugged in. The blades are very sharp.

Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the food processor or blender as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.

The appliance is intended to be used in household only.

Do not touch the cutting edges of the blender blade unit when handling, emptying the container and during cleaning. They are very sharp and you could easily cut your fingers on them.

Make sure the appliance is properly cleaned. Especially the surfaces in contact with food. Details of cleaning can be found in chapter “Cleaning and maintenance”. Caution

Switch off the appliance and always disconnect from supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling, approaching parts that move in use or cleaning.

Never use any accessories or parts from other manufacturers or that Philips does not specifically recommend. If you use such accessories or parts, your guarantee becomes invalid.

Do not exceed the maximum indication on the blender jar and the mill.

Do not exceed the maximum quantities and processing times indicated in the relevant table.

The appliance can only be switched on if the blender jar or the mill is assembled on the motor unit correctly. Blender Warning

Never reach into the blender jar with your fingers or an object while the appliance is running.

Make sure the blade unit is securely fastened to the blender jar before you assemble the blender jar onto the motor unit.

Do not touch the cutting edges of the blender blade unit when you handle or clean it. They are very sharp and you could easily cut your fingers on them.

If the blade unit gets stuck, unplug the appliance before you remove the ingredients that block the blades. Caution

In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.9 English

Do not misuse the appliance to avoid potential injury.

Never fill the blender jar with ingredients hotter than 80 °C.

To prevent spillage, do not put more than 1.5 litres of liquid in the blender jar, especially when you process at a high speed. Do not put more than 1.25 litre in the blender jar when you process hot liquids or ingredients that tend to foam.

If food sticks to the wall of the blender jar, switch off the appliance and unplug it. Then use a spatula to remove the food from the wall.

Always make sure the lid is properly closed/assembled on the jar and the measuring cup is inserted properly in the lid before you switch on the appliance.

Do not let appliance run for more than 2 minutes at time.

Always let the appliance cool down to room temperature after each batch you process.

Make sure the coupling unit is securely fastened to the chopper bowl before you assemble the chopper onto the motor unit.

Do not touch the cutting edges of the chopper blade unit when you handle or clean it. They are very sharp and you could easily cut your fingers on them.

Never reach into the chopper bowl with your fingers or an object while the appliance is running.

If the blade unit gets stuck, unplug the appliance before you remove the ingredients that block the blades. Caution

Never use the mill for more than 30 seconds without interruption.

Always let the appliance cool down to room temperature after each batch you process. Grinder Warning

Make sure the lid is securely fastened to the grinder before you assemble the grinder onto the motor unit.

Never use the grinder to grind very hard ingredients such as nutmeg and Chinese rock sugar.

Do not touch the cutting edges of the grinder blade unit when you use or clean it. They are very sharp and you could easily cut your fingers on them. Caution

Never use the grinder for more than 60 seconds without interruption.

Always let the appliance cool down to room temperature after each batch you process. To ensure food stays fresh, do not store it in the tumbler for a long term. Rinse them thoroughly and dry them completely before assembling. Place the blender on a stable and flat surface. Avoid placing it near heat sources, water, or flammable materials. Using the appliance 1 Put the sealing ring onto the blender blade unit. 2 Turn the blade unit anti-clockwise to lock it to the blender jar. 3 Turn the assembled blender jar clockwise to lock it to the motor base. You will hear a click when it is locked. 4 Add ingredients into the blender jar. Do not exceed the max level on the blender jar. 5 Attach the measuring cup to the blender jar lid, and close the lid.12 English 6 Plug in the appliance. 7 Turn the control knob to desired speed. Start with the lowest speed and increase as needed. To pulse, turn the control knob to the pulse setting. OFF 8 Turn the control knob to speed 0 to turn off the appliance. 9 Unplug the appliance.13 English 10 Empty the blender jar and enjoy. Using the tamper MAX 600g 1 Add ingredients into the blender jar. Do not put more than 600g (about half jar) of ingredients in the blender jar. 2 Attach the measuring cup to the blender jar lid, and close the lid. 3 Plug in the appliance. ~ 6 x P 4 Turn the control knob to the pulse setting several times.14 English 5 Remove the measuring cup from the blender jar lid. 6 Insert the tamper, and gently stir and push down. 7 Turn the control knob to speed 3. 8 Stir and push with the tamper. OFF 9 Turn the control knob to speed 0 to turn off the appliance.15 English 10 Unplug the appliance. 11 Serve and enjoy. Using the chopper 1 Turn the coupling unit anti-clockwise to lock it to the chopper bowl. 2 Turn the assembled chopper bowl clockwise to lock it to the motor base. You will hear a click when it is locked. 3 Attach the chopper blade unit to the chopper bowl shaft.16 English 4 Add ingredients to the chopper bowl. Do not exceed the max level on the chopper bowl. 5 Turn the chopper bowl lid clockwise to lock it to the chopper bowl. 6 Plug in the appliance. 7 Turn the control knob to desired speed. OFF 8 Turn the control knob to speed 0 to turn off the appliance.17 English 9 Unplug the appliance. 10 Turn the chopper bowl anti-clockwise to remove it from the motor base. 11 Remove the chopper blade unit and lid from the chopper bowl. 12 Pour out the processed ingredients. Using the mill 1 Add ingredients into the beaker. Do not exceed the max level on the beaker.18 English 2 Turn the mill blade unit anti-clockwise to lock it to the beaker. 3 Turn the assembled beaker clockwise to lock it to the motor base. You will hear a click when it is securely locked. 4 Plug in the appliance. 5 Turn the control knob to desired speed. OFF 6 Turn the control knob to speed 0 to turn off the appliance.19 English 7 Unplug the appliance. 8 Turn the beaker anti-clockwise to remove it from the motor base. 9 Turn the mill blade unit clockwise to remove it from the beaker. 10 Pour out the processed ingredients. Using the grinder 1 Add ingredients to the grinder jar. Do not exceed the max level on the jar.20 English 2 Turn the grinder jar lid clockwise to lock it to the grinder jar. You will hear a click when it is locked. 3 Attach the grinder jar onto the motor base. 4 Turn the assembled grinder jar clockwise to lock. You will hear a click when it is locked. 5 Plug in the appliance. 6 Turn the control knob to speed 3.21 English OFF 7 Turn the control knob to speed 0 to turn off the appliance. 8 Unplug the appliance. 9 Turn the grinder jar anti-clockwise to remove it from the motor base. 10 Turn the grinder jar lid anti-clockwise to remove it from the jar. 11 Pour out the processed ingredients.22 English Using the tumbler 1 Add ingredients into the tumbler jar. Do not exceed the max level on the tumbler jar. 2 Carefully attach the sealing ring to the blade unit. 3 Press the sealing ring firmly in place. Be careful to avoid injury from the blade. 4 Turn the blade unit clockwise to lock it to the tumbler jar. 5 Turn the assembled tumbler jar clockwise to lock it to the motor base. You will hear a click when it is locked.23 English 6 Plug in the appliance. 7 Turn the control knob to speed 3. OFF 8 Turn the control knob to speed 0 to turn off the appliance. 9 Unplug the appliance. 10 Turn the assembled tumbler jar anti-clockwise to remove it from the motor base.24 English 11 Turn the blade unit anti-clockwise to remove it from the tumbler jar. 12 Turn the tumbler lid clockwise to lock it to the tumbler jar. 13 Take the tumbler on-the-go.25 English Processing quantities and processing time 30 sec.
