How do I switch between autofocus (AF) and manual focus (MF)?

Slide the focus ring forward or backward. In AF position, the distance indicator is not visible. In MF position, the indicator appears and you can rotate the ring to focus.

What is the IS switch for?

The IS switch enables or disables image stabilization. In the ON position, stabilization works according to camera settings. In the OFF position, all stabilization is disabled.

What does the L-Fn button do?

The L-Fn button temporarily stops autofocus when pressed. Useful for locking focus.

How do I attach the lens hood?

Align the mark on the lens hood with the one on the lens, then rotate clockwise until it clicks. To remove, press the release button and rotate counterclockwise.

What is the minimum focusing distance?

It varies by focal length: 0.15 m at 12 mm and 0.45 m at 100 mm. This allows close-up shots.

Can I use multiple filters at the same time?

Stacking multiple filters is not recommended as the image edges may be cut off. Preferably use a single high-quality filter.

Is the lens compatible with all Micro Four Thirds cameras?

Yes, it is compatible with all Micro Four Thirds mount cameras, including Olympus OM-D, PEN series, and Panasonic models. For advanced features such as stabilization, use the latest firmware.

How do I clean the lens?

Changing focus methods (Fig. 1)

Change between AF/MF by sliding the focus ring.

• Position in which distance indicator cannot be seen AF/MF
  You can switch between AF/MF by using the camera's settings.
• Position in which distance indicator can be seen MF
  Autofocus is not available; focus by rotating the lens focus ring.

IS switch

ON: Stabilizing functions in the lens and camera operate. The IS operates according to the IS setting in the camera.

OFF: Stabilizing functions in both the lens and camera are off.

Notes on Shooting

• Edges of pictures may be cut off if more than one filter is used or if a thick filter is used.
• When using a flash, flash light may be blocked by the lens body, lens hood, etc.
• The focus distance may change when the focusing method is switched from MF to AF/MF and then back to MF. Readjust the focus distance.
• The distance indicator is intended as a guide only.
• Usage conditions may lower the number of images that can be captured.
