Working with the trimmer can be dangerous:
- Do not work on excessively steep slopes.
- On slopes and on wet grass, always watch your footing.
- On sloping surfaces, always work across the slope and never work in the upward or downward direction. Be especially careful when changing direction on slopes.
Do not place your hands or feet near the rotating cutting elements. Switch off the product before transporting it from one place to another. Switch off the product and unplug the extension cord from the socket:
- Always before leaving the product unattended,
- before cleaning, checking, or servicing, - if the product hits an object, - before replacing the cutting tool, - before checking, cleaning, or working on the product, - after striking foreign objects: immediately check the product for damage and, if necessary, replace the blade, - if the product starts to vibrate abnormally (check immediately).
Before using the hedge trimmer, wait until it has come to a complete stop. The cutting element continues to rotate for a short time after the device is switched off and can cause injury. Do not change anything in the product. Unauthorized modifications can affect the safety of the product and lead to severe injuries and vibrations. Store the product in a dry, safe, and inaccessible place. Do not place other objects on the product. Use only Bosch accessories recommended or approved for use with this product. During prolonged work with the product (or other machines), the operator may be exposed to vibrations that can cause white finger syndrome (Raynaud's syndrome) and carpal tunnel syndrome. This reduces the sense of touch and the ability to regulate temperature, and can cause numbness and a feeling of tingling, up to the first signs of disorders, circulatory problems, and tissue death.
If you notice symptoms caused by excessive vibration load, consult a doctor. Symptoms include numbness, loss of sensitivity, tingling, pricking, pain, weakness, changes in color or condition of the skin. These symptoms most often appear on the fingers, hands, or wrist joints. Always use the product only with the correct attachment. Always hold the product by the front and rear
handles and, if necessary, reduce the working time with it.
Take into account the possible kickback of the product, which occurs when the blade hits a hard object or when cutting bushes or shrubbery. Try to minimize the effect of kickback. The design of this product requires the use of a shoulder strap. Adjust the strap so that the product is properly balanced - this reduces the risk of accidents while working with the product. For transport and storage, always wear the appropriate protective equipment. Do not bring the cutting tool close to the cable or cord.
Maintenance
When handling or working with sharp blades, always wear protective gloves.
Check all nuts, bolts, and screws on the product before each use to ensure safe working condition. Inspect the product for damage and replace worn or damaged parts. For replacement, use only original spare parts from Bosch. Have the product repaired only by an authorized Bosch service center. Before storing, check that the product is clean and free of organic residues. If necessary, clean it with a dry brush. Remove all debris that has accumulated between the cutting head and the protective cover. For compact storage, the product tube can be divided into two parts.
Electrical safety

Warning! Before performing maintenance or cleaning, switch off the power tool and remove the plug from the
socket. This is especially important if the power cord is damaged, cut, or twisted.
The power tool is double insulated and does not require grounding. The operating voltage is 230 V ~, 50 Hz (for countries not in the EU, also 220 V to 240 V). Use only approved extension cables. You will receive information from your service center.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, use a residual current device (RCD) with a tripping current of not more than 30 mA. The RCD should be checked before each use of the device. Keep the power cord away from rotating parts and do not allow damaged cords to come into contact with current-carrying parts.
Cable connections (plugs and sockets) must be dry and must not lie on the ground.
The power cord must be regularly checked for signs of damage. It may only be used if it is in perfect condition.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be repaired only by an authorized service center for power tools Bosch. Use only approved extension cables.
Use only extension cables, cables, wires, and cable reels that comply with EN 61242/IEC 61242 and IEC 60884-2-7 and are of type H05VV-F or H05RN-F.
For use of the tool with extension cables, the following cross-sections of conductors must be observed:
- Cross-section of conductors 1.25 mm² or 1.5 mm²
- The maximum length is 30 m for extension cables or 60 m for cable reels with residual current device.
Note: The extension cable must, according to safety regulations, have a protective conductor that is connected via the plug to the protective conductor of the electrical outlet.
In exceptional cases, contact a professional electrician or the nearest Bosch service center.

CAUTION: From extension cables that do not meet the requirements, danger may arise. The extension cable, plug, and coupling must be
waterproof and approved for outdoor use.
Note for products sold outside Great Britain:
ATTENTION: For your safety, it is necessary to connect the plug of your tool to the extension cable. The coupling of the extension cable must be made of rubber or covered with rubber and have a protective contact against water spray. The extension cable must be used with a strain relief for the cable.
