5.1 Installing battery-compartment attachment 5

Install the clip prior to initial start-up. ▶ Push the battery-compartment attachment into the mounts intended for the purpose until the battery- compartment attachment snaps into engagement. Make sure that the holder for the shoulder strap is facing up.

5.2 Changing the filter bag 2

1. Open the two catches.

2. Lift the suction head off the waste material container.

3. Remove the filter bag and remove the holder for the filter bag.

4. Push the holder for the filter bag on to a new filter bag.

5. Secure the holder with the filter bag to the ribs of the waste material container.

6. Fit the suction head on to the waste material container and close the two catches.

5.3 Connecting/disconnecting the suction hose

1. Connect the suction hose to the suction hose intake socket.

▶ The suction hose should be heard to engage.

To disconnect the suction hose, press and hold down the EJECT button.

3. Disconnect the suction hose from the suction hose intake socket.

6.1 Switching the device on / off

To switch on the device, turn the control switch to this position: MAX. To operate the device for a longer period at reduced suction power, set the control switch to this position: ECO.

To switch off the device, set the control switch to this position: OFF.

6.2 Cleaning the filter

1. Switch the appliance on.

2. Hold your hand over the end of the hose.

3. Wait until maximum vacuum pressure is reached.

Press the CLEAN button 4-5 times.

5. Switch the appliance off.

6.3 After use of the vacuum cleaner

Turn the control switch to the OFF position.

7.1 Instructions for care of vacuum cleaners

  • Use only a slightly damp cloth to clean the housing. Do not use cleaning agents containing silicone as these can attack the plastic parts.
  • Use a dry, clean cloth to clean the contacts of the product.
  • Keep the vacuum cleaner, especially its gripping surfaces, clean and free from oil and grease. Do not use cleaning agents containing silicone.
  • Never operate the vacuum cleaner when the air vents are blocked! Clean the air vents carefully using a dry brush. Prevent foreign matter from penetrating inside the turbine aperture.
  • Clean the top edge of the waste material container and its groove with particular care, because cleanliness here is decisive for the seal between waste material container and suction head.

The condition of the filter element deteriorates with use. Do not clean the filter element by knocking it against hard surfaces. Avoid compressed-air cleaners and pointed objects that can damage the filter material. By complying with these precautions you prolong the usable life of the filter element. ▶ Replace the filter element at least every six months. ▶ Replace the filter element more frequently if the appliance is used intensively.

7.3 Changing main filter 3

6. Remove all dust from the seal and from the filter frame holder.

1. Press the button to release the discharged-air filter and remove the filter support.

2. Remove the filter fleece from the filter support.

3. Attach a new filter fleece to the filter support.

4. Fit the filter support to the appliance.
