10. Operating / working notes
m ATTENTION! Always make sure the device is fully assembled before commissioning! ON/OFF switch (14) (Fig. 2) The machine is equipped with a safety switch that prevents automatic reactivation after a power failure. Switching on Press the green I button Switching o Press the red O button m Attention! The motor hums during and shortly after the braking period. The switch must not be operated during this phase. The motor may only be switched on again once the humming noise has stopped. Direction of rotation of the saw blade (Fig. 10) Ensure that the direction of rotation of the saw blade corresponds to the direction of rotation specied on the protective cover. For three-phase motors, you can change the direc- tion of rotation by inserting a screwdriver into the slot provided in the plug collar and turning it slightly to the left or right. Handling the protection cage (Fig. 16, 17) - Open the protective cover (16). - Insert the material to be cut. - Close the protective cover (16). - Swivel the feed rocker (2) with the handles (K) and (L) towards the saw blade and saw through the ma- terial to be cut. - Swing back the feed rocker (2) and open the pro- tective cover. - Add more material to be cut and close the protective cover again.
Your machine is not completely assembled for pack- aging reasons. Fitting the axis (Fig. 3 - 6) Insert the wheel axis (19) through the hole in the wheel axis suspension, as shown in Fig. 3. This is located on the underside of the swivel. Now draw the washers and bushes supplied onto the wheel axis in accord- ance with the sequence shown in Fig. 4. Now slide the wheel axis through the hole of the other suspension (Fig. 5). When doing so, ensure that the grooves (5a) lie on the inside. Now slide the bush with the washer suciently to the side that the bush is over the groove. Tighten the threaded pins fully as shown in Fig. 6. Attention, the bushes each have two threaded pins respectively. Fitting the wheels (Fig. 7) Place the two wheels onto the axis that has already been tted. Secure each wheel with a washer 8.4 and an M8x20 screw. Fitting the switch unit (Fig. 8) Screw the switch unit to the switch base.
Observe the safety instructions before the com- missioning.

- Pressure points, where connection cables are passed through windows or doors.
- Kinks where the connection cable has been improp- erly xed or routed.
- Places where the connection cables have been cut due to being driven over.
- Insulation damage due to being ripped out of the wall outlet.
- Cracks due to the insulation ageing. Such damaged electrical connection cables must not be used and are life-threatening due to insulation damage. Check the electrical connection cables for damage reg- ularly. Ensure that the connection cables are discon- nected from electrical power when checking for damage. Electrical connection cables must comply with the ap- plicable VDE and DIN provisions. Only use connection cables with the marking "H 07 RN". The printing of the type designations on the cable is mandatory. Extension cable and mains protection
- Extension cables up to 25 m long must have a cross section of 1.5 mm², and over 25 m long must have a cross section of 2.5 mm².
- The mains power connection is protected with a 16A slow-blow fuse. Connections and repairs Connections and repair work on the electrical equip- ment may only be carried out by electricians. Please provide the following information in the event of any enquiries.
- Type of current for the motor
- Machine data - type plate Saws 1 Switch on the machine. 2 Wait until the saw blade has reached full speed. 3 Place the wood in the feed rocker. 4 Grasp the handles of the feed rocker with both hands and guide it evenly towards the saw blade to release the saw blade. 5 Only apply enough pressure on the feed rocker when sawing so that the speed of the saw blade does not drop. 6 Remove the sawn wood from the feed rocker af- ter it has returned to its original position and the saw blade is covered. Now place the next piece of wood on. Attention! Do not leave the machine unattended during opera- tion. Switch the machine o and remove the mains plug when stopping work. Motor braking device The brake brakes the drive motor of the sawing shaft within 10 seconds. If the braking process takes longer than 10 seconds, the machine must no longer be operated because the brake is defective. It is essential to disconnect the ma- chine from the power supply. Only a qualied electri- cian may be assigned with troubleshooting.
11. Electrical connection
The electrical motor installed is connected and ready for operation. The connection complies with the appli- cable VDE and DIN provisions.
