Printed: 05.12.2013 | Doc-Nr: PUB / 5071295 / 000 / 02For EC countries only Disposal of electric tools or appliances together with household waste is not permiss- ible. In observance of the European Directive on waste electrical and electronicequipment and its implementation in accordance with national law, electrical appliances that have reached the end of their life must be collected separately and returnedtoan environmentally compatible recycling facility. Disposing of drilling slurry Disposing of drilling slurry directly into rivers, lakes or the sewerage system without suitable pretreatment presents environmental problems. Ask the local public authorities for information about current regulations. We recommend the following pretreatment:
1. Collect the drilling slurry (for example, using a wet-type vacuum cleaner).
2. Allow the drilling slurry to settle and dispose of the solid material at a construction waste
disposal site (the addition of a flocculent may accelerate the separation process).
3. The remaining water (alkaline, pH value > 7) must be neutralized by the addition of an acidic
neutralizing agent or diluted with a large volume of water before it is allowedtoflowintothe sewerage system. 11 Manufacturer’s warranty Hilti warrants that the tool supplied is free of defects in material and workmanship.
