In electric and induction hobs, the temperature difference that is created between the hot zone adjacent to the cooking and the colder air under the hood suction zone causes condensation and a dripping effect which may create problems during cooking. Dispersion of steam also tends to extend to the surrounding environment and the structural areas of the kitchen such as doors and lower areas of cabinets. This is all eliminated with the No Drip SYSTEM.
The steel filter grills containing layers of aluminium include an angular construction and geometry (Patent Pending) specifically designed to collect any condensation inside the drip tray.
Note: At maximum speed a hissing sound may be heard, which is normal insofar as generated by the special shape of the filtering grille.
Closely follow the instructions set out in this manual. All responsibility, for any eventual inconveniences, damages or fires caused by not complying with the instructions in this manual, is declined. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar application such as: - staff kitchen areas in shop, offices and other working environments; - farm houses; - by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; - bed and breakfast type environments.
It is important to conserve this booklet for consultation at any moment. In the case of sale, cession or move, make sure it is together with the product. - Read the instructions carefully: there is important information about installation, use and safety. - Do not carry out electrical or mechanical variations on the product or on the discharge conduits. Before proceeding with the installation of the appliance verify that there are no damaged all components. Otherwise contact your dealer and do not proceed with the installation.
Note: The parts marked with the symbol "(*)" are optional accessories supplied only with some models or otherwise not supplied, but available for purchase.
Caution
- Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, disconnect hood from the mains by removing the plug or disconnecting the mains electrical supply. Always wear work gloves for all installation and maintenance operations.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not be allowed to tamper with the controls or play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. The premises where the appliance is installed must be sufficiently ventilated, when the kitchen hood is used together with other gas combustion devices or other fuels. The hood must be regularly cleaned on both the inside and outside (AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH). This must be completed in accordance with the maintenance instructions provided. Failure to follow the instructions provided regarding the cleaning of the hood and filters will lead to the risk of fires. Do not flambe under the range hood. Do not remove filters during cooking. For lamp replacement use only lamp type indicated in the Maintenance/Replacing lamps section of this manual. The use of exposed flames is detrimental to the filters and may cause a fire risk, and must therefore be avoided in all circumstances. Any frying must be done with care in order to make sure that the oil does not overheat and ignite. CAUTION: Accessible parts of the hood may become hot when used with cooking appliances. Do not connect the appliance to the mains until the installation is fully complete. With regards to the technical and safety measures to be adopted for fume discharging it is important to closely follow the regulations provided by the local authorities. The air must not be discharged into a flue that is used for exhausting fumes from appliance burning gas or other fuels. Do not use or leave the hood without the lamp correctly mounted due to the possible risk of electric shocks.
- Never use the hood without effectively mounted grids.
- The hood must NEVER be used as a support surface unless specifically indicated.
- Use only the fixing screws supplied with the product for installation or, if not supplied, purchase the correct screws type.
- Use the correct length for the screws which are identified in the Installation Guide.
- In case of doubt, consult an authorized service assistance center or similar qualified person.

- Failure to install the screws or fixing device in accordance with these instructions may result in electrical hazards.
- Do not use with a programmer, timer, separate remote control system or any other device that switches on automatically.

- By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product.

Suggestions for correct use to reduce environmental impact: Turn on the hood at minimum speed when you start cooking and let it run for a few minutes after cooking is finished. Increase the speed only when there is a large amount of smoke and vapor, and use boost speed(s) only in extreme situations. Replace the charcoal filter(s) when necessary to maintain good odor reduction efficiency. Clean the grease filter(s) when necessary to maintain good grease filter efficiency. Use the maximum diameter of the ducting system indicated in this manual to optimize efficiency and minimize noise.
Use
The hood is designed to be used either in extraction mode or filter mode.
In this case, the fumes are conveyed outside the building by means of a special pipe connected to the connection ring located on top of the hood.
CAUTION!
The exhaust pipe is not supplied and must be purchased separately. The diameter of the exhaust pipe must be equal to that of the connection ring.
CAUTION!
If the hood is supplied with an active charcoal filter, it must be removed.
Connect the hood and the discharge holes on the walls with a diameter equivalent to the air outlet (connection flange).
Using tubes and discharge holes on walls with smaller dimensions will cause a reduction in suction performance and a drastic increase in noise.
Any responsibility in the matter is therefore declined.
Use a duct of the minimum indispensable length. ! Use a duct with as few elbows as possible (maximum elbow angle: 90° ). Avoid drastic changes in the duct cross-section.
Filtration version
The aspirated air will be degreased and deodorised before being fed back into the room.
In order to use the hood in this version, you have to install a system of additional filtering based on activated charcoal.
Installation
The minimum distance between the supporting surface for the cooking equipment on the hob and the lowest part of the range hood must be not less than 50cm from electric cookers and 62cm from gas or mixed cookers.
If the instructions for installation for the gas hob specify a greater distance, this must be adhered to.
Electrical connection
The mains power supply must correspond to the rating indicated on the plate situated inside the hood. If provided with a plug connect the hood to a socket in compliance with current regulations and positioned in an accessible area, after installation. If it not fitted with a plug (direct mains connection) or if the plug is not located in an accessible area, after installation, apply a double pole switch in accordance with standards which assures the complete disconnection of the mains under conditions relating to over-current category III, in accordance with installation instructions.
WARNING!
Before re-connecting the hood circuit to the mains supply and checking the efficient function, always check that the mains cable is correctly assembled.
Warning! If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid hazard.
Mounting
Before beginning installation:
- Check that the product purchased is of a suitable size for the chosen installation area.
- Remove the charcoal (*) filter(s) if supplied (see also the relevant paragraph). This/these is/are to be mounted only if you want to use the hood in the filtering version.
- Check (for transport reasons) that there is no other supplied material inside the hood (e.g., packets with screws, guarantees, etc.), eventually removing them and keeping them.
In the case of the presence of panels and/or walls and/or lateral wall units, check that there is sufficient space to install the hood and that access to the control panel is easy.
Operation
The hood has been designed in such a way as to prevent the formation of condensation on its lower surfaces when it is placed on top of an induction hob.
Unlike gas or electric hobs, induction hobs only heat the food containers and not the surrounding air, so the surfaces of the hood are cold.
When the hot cooking gases rise, they encounter the cold surfaces of the hood, which then condense and release the moisture present in the air that rapidly turns into water droplets. These then fall onto the hob itself and onto the food, contaminating it with fat and impurities.
To prevent this from occurring, all the lower surfaces of the hood are heated by a system of internal resistances that are invisible. This means that the heating of the lower surfaces of the hood, even without switching on the hob below, is perfectly normal and is not a sign of a product malfunction.
The internal grease filter is not specifically heated to condense a large part of the moisture present in the air. Some drops will, therefore, form on this surface that will be collected in a special tray.
Tips and requirements for optimal use of the NO DRIP SYSTEM
- The hood should be switched on a few minutes before cooking to allow the lower surfaces to warm up and should be kept on until the odours disappear.
- The grease filters should not be removed once cooking has terminated to allow time for the collected condensation in the grease filter to settle in the tray. The rate of condensation collection increases with increasing
suction speed (power).
The NO DRIP SYSTEM offers the best performance in an environment with a temperature between 18°C and 25°C. Always open the steam collector (panel) to its full range of motion.

Short press to switch illumination of the cooking hob on or off.
Long press to switch ambient light on or off (only on some models).
"Anti-condensation" ON/OFF button: used to prevent condensation from forming on the surface of the hood. Enable when required.
"Automatic anti-condensation": enabled by the hood each time it is switched on.
Automatic ON/OFF: with the hood off, press the button for 5 seconds until the steady LED is displayed for 3 seconds (and a beep if available) to ENABLE.
With the hood off, press the button for 5 seconds until the LED FLASHES for 3 seconds (and a beep if available) to DISABLE.
Note: Anti-condensation is only enabled only with the motor on.
Caution! Even if anti-condensation is never enabled, always perform regular maintenance of the drip tray as outlined in the section "Maintenance - Cleaning - Maintenance of the drip tray".
Indicators of Filter Saturation
At regular time intervals, the hood signals the need to perform filter maintenance.
3+ 3+ on with steady light: perform grease filter maintenance. 3+ 3+ button flashing: perform activated charcoal filter maintenance.
Note: Filter saturation signal is visible within the first minute after switching off the hood; within this time, the reset of saturation indicators must be performed.

Maintenance
Cleaning
Clean using ONLY a cloth dampened with neutral liquid detergent. DO NOT CLEAN WITH TOOLS OR INSTRUMENTS. Do not use abrasive products. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!
Maintenance of the condensation drip tray
The tray should be emptied and cleaned AT LEAST once a week or more frequently depending on the use of the hood.
- Place a container under the drain hole.
- Press the tab down to open the drain and empty the condensation.
Caution! Condensation residue may remain inside the tray after emptying.
Proceed, therefore, as follows:
- Remove the tray from its position without turning it upside down.
- Empty the tray and clean it as described above.
- Replace the tray in its original position by following the procedure in reverse order.
Grease filter

The grease filter must be cleaned once a month using non-aggressive detergents, either by hand or in the dishwasher, which must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle. When washed in a dishwasher, the grease filter may discolor slightly, but this does not affect its filtering capacity.
To remove the grease filter, pull the spring release handle.
Charcoal filter (filter version only)

It absorbs unpleasant odors caused by cooking.
The saturation of the charcoal filter occurs after more or less prolonged use, depending on the type of cooking and the regularity of cleaning of the grease filter.
In any case it is necessary to replace the cartridge at least every four months (or when the filter saturation indication system - if envisaged on the model in possession - indicates this necessity). The charcoal filter may NOT be washed or regenerated.
Replacing lamps
The hood is equipped with a lighting system based on LED technology.
The LEDs guarantee an optimum lighting, a duration up to 10 times longer than the traditional lamps and allow to save 90% electrical energy.
For replacement, contact the technical service.
NO DRIP SYSTEM
EXCLUSIVE COMFORT WITHOUT CONDENSATION
Use a screwdriver as small as possible.

Use a screwdriver with the smallest possible angle (ideal angle: 90°). Avoid sudden changes in the angle of the screwdriver.
Filter replacement
The filter absorbs the grease particles from the cooking air and releases it into the interior of the hood through the upper opening.
Before using the hood in this mode, you must install a filter system based on activated carbon.
Installation
The installation of the appliance must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and must be at least 50 cm from electric hobs and 62 cm from gas or mixed hobs.
If the installation instructions for the appliance specify a greater distance, you must respect that.
Electrical connection
The connection of the electrical wires must correspond to that indicated on the characteristic label, located on the back of the appliance. If the appliance is equipped with a plug, the plug must be connected to a suitable socket, in accordance with the applicable regulations, and must be accessible even after installation. If the appliance is not equipped with a plug (direct connection to the mains) or if the plug is not accessible, install a bipolar switch to disconnect the appliance from the mains in case of emergency, in accordance with the installation instructions and regulations.
WARNING!
Before connecting the appliance to the electrical supply and checking its correct operation, always verify that the connection cable is properly grounded.
Warning! The replacement of the power cable must be carried out by an authorized technical service to avoid any danger.
Installation
Before starting the installation:
CHECK THAT THE PRODUCT YOU PURCHASED HAS THE CORRECT TYPE OF GAS FOR THE INSTALLATION SITE. To remove it, follow the instructions in the relevant paragraphs. The removal of the gas filters is mandatory (either in the positive or negative paragraph). This is only done if you intend to use the appliance with a different type of gas.
CHECK (FOR THE TRANSPORT OF THE APPLIANCE) THAT THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL MATERIAL INSIDE THE APPLIANCE (E.G. PACKAGING, PROTECTIONS, ETC.) AND REMOVE IT ALL.
In the case of present furniture/walls, ensure that there is enough space to install the appliance and that there is the possibility to access the appliance easily.
Operation
This appliance is designed to extract fumes and vapors from the cooking surfaces when installed above a gas hob. Unlike electric or induction hobs, gas hobs heat the air more than the food, and therefore the appliance surfaces remain hot.
When vapors rise during cooking, they come into contact with the cold surfaces of the appliance, condense, and the humidity present in the air is removed, which is quickly transformed into steam and then discharged outside, while the food remains dry and with flavor.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
The internal part for the lamps does not need to be replaced as it can be disposed of together with the appliance. If there is a lamp in the air, it is disposed of in this way. The lamps are collected in a special container.

Instructions for proper use, to reduce the impact on the window cover: Turn on (ON) the extractor at minimum speed when you start cooking and leave it running for a few minutes after cooking is finished. Increase the speed only by setting the appropriate amount for the type and quantity of food. Use the increased speed only in extreme situations. Change the filter(s) with the active carbon filter when necessary to maintain good efficiency of the hood. Clean the filter(s) with grease when necessary to maintain good efficiency of the grease filter. Use the maximum diameter of the exhaust air system, following the guide for optimizing efficiency and reducing noise.
Use
The extractor is intended for: suction and exhaust of air through filters, while simultaneously purifying it.
Exhaust air
The exhaust air is discharged through an air duct connected to the exhaust flange.
WARNING!
The air duct is not included as an accessory and must be purchased separately.
The diameter of the air duct must correspond to the diameter of the exhaust flange.
WARNING!
If the extractor is equipped with an active carbon filter, the duct must be removed.
Connect the extractor to the air duct and the wall opening. The diameter of the duct must correspond to the diameter of the exhaust flange for air discharge.
Air.
Connecting to an air duct and an opening with a smaller diameter reduces the extractor's performance and significantly increases noise during operation.
In these cases, the manufacturer assumes no responsibility.
Use the duct with the necessary length. Use the duct with the fewest possible bends (maximum bend angle: 90°). Do not sharply change the cross-section of the duct!
The appliance is intended for extraction and freshening of air in the room. To use the extractor in this mode of operation, it is necessary to install an additional filter system at the base of the filter with active carbon.
Installation
The minimum distance between the surface on which the cooking appliances are placed and the lowest part of the cooker hood must be not less than 50 cm in the case of electric cookers and not less than 62 cm in the case of gas or combined cookers.
If the instructions for the gas hob specify a greater distance, this must be taken into account.
Electrical connection
The voltage in the electrical network must correspond to the voltage indicated on the rating plate with the data for the hood, placed on its inner side. If it is equipped with a plug and the hood is connected to a socket, the properties of the applicable standards are observed and the plug is placed in an easily accessible place for disconnecting the appliance. If it is not equipped with a plug and the connection is direct to the network, or if the plug is not in an easily accessible place for disconnecting the appliance, install a bipolar switch in the standards, so that the network disconnection is ensured in case of overvoltage category III, in accordance with the installation rules.
WARNING!
Before connecting the hood to the network and checking that it functions correctly, check that the cables are installed as required.
WARNING! The replacement of the supply cable must be carried out by the manufacturer's service department or a similarly qualified person, in order to avoid any risk.
MOUNTING
Before proceeding with the mounting:
- Make sure that the product you have purchased corresponds in size to the chosen place for installation.
- Remove the filter/filters with active carbon (if the model you have chosen is equipped with them). To do this, follow the operations in the corresponding paragraph. Mount the filters back only in case you intend to use the hood in the version with filter recirculation.
During transport, the parts of the aspirator are not intended for use, such as the screw caps, parachute cards, etc.; if you intend to remove them, do so in advance.
When installing the panel, make sure that the space is sufficient to install the aspirator, and that
there is unobstructed access to the control panel.
Instructions for use
This aspirator is designed to prevent the formation of condensation on the surface of the duct when it is installed over an induction hob.
Unlike gas or electric hobs, induction hobs only heat the cookware, not the surrounding air, so the surface of the aspirator remains cool.
When the hob is heated, the rising hot air hits the cool surface of the aspirator, forming condensation that quickly evaporates in the air currents, which inevitably falls onto the food, increasing humidity and dirt.
To avoid this problem, every lower surface of the aspirator is heated by a system of internal resistors and therefore does not get dirty; thus, the heating of the lower surfaces of the aspirator, even without the hob being on, is normal but does not affect the functioning of the product.
The internal resistors heat up to a minimum, so that a large part of the humidity in the air can condense; therefore, on these surfaces, drops will form that will collect in the collection tray.
Recommendations and instructions for optimal use of the DRIP SYSTEM
- It is recommended to turn on the aspirator a few minutes before starting to cook, so that the lower surfaces can warm up and then be left to work until the vapors disappear.
- It is recommended not to remove the grease filters before turning on the hob, to give time for the condensation to form in the filters and be collected in the tray.
- The result of condensation collection improves with increasing the speed (power) of aspiration. The DRIP SYSTEM gives good results at ambient temperatures from 18°C to 25°C.
- Remove the collection tray for evaporated (vapor) water.
Light for 3 sec. (and sound signal, although excessive), to deactivate the function.
Function: The anti-condensation function is activated only when the motor is switched on.
Attention! If you have never used this function, read the paragraph "Maintenance - Cleaning - Maintenance of the anti-condensation valve" periodically.

It runs for 5 minutes, after which it switches to medium speed (suction power).
Light ON/OFF button
Press the button briefly to turn the product light on or off.
Press and hold the button to turn the room light on or off (only for some models).
ON/OFF button: The anti-condensation function prevents the formation of condensation on the surface of the appliance. It is activated when necessary.
"AUTOMATIC ANTI-CONDENSATION FUNCTION": The function is activated with every switching on of the appliance.
AUTOMATIC ACTIVATION ON/OFF: With the appliance switched off, press the button for 5 sec. until the light indicator flashes for 3 sec. (and a sound signal, if provided) to activate the function. With the appliance switched off, press the button for 5 sec. until the light indicator flashes.
Filter replacement indicator
After a certain time interval, the aspirator signals the need to replace the filter.
3+ button light flashes: replace the filter for the motor. 3+ button light is steady: replace the filter immediately.
Note: The filter replacement indicator turns on one minute after the aspirator is switched off. During this time interval, the filter replacement indicators must be reset.

Replacement
Cleaning
For cleaning, use only a cloth dampened with neutral detergent. Do not use cleaning tools or devices!
The device is designed to capture vapors. Do not use it!
Holder for the bath for collecting condensate
The bath must be cleaned and rinsed after each use, depending on how the device is used.
- Place the device under the drain outlet.
- Press the lever to open the flow of liquid and the path to the cleaning of the bath for collecting condensate.
Warning! Residues of condensate may remain inside the bath, even after the cleaning operation has been performed.
Therefore, proceed as follows:
- Remove the bath from its place, being careful not to spill the liquid.
- Empty the bath and clean it, as described above.
- Mount the bath again, performing the procedure in reverse order and reassemble.

The appliance is intended for use in the household. The appliance can be used in the household at normal temperature and in short-term operation mode.
When using the filter in the household, it is possible that it may become discolored, but this in no way impairs its filtering capacity.
To remove the filter, press the handle with the spring mechanism.
The filter with active carbon is an accessory (for the filtering version).

The filter with active carbon should be replaced periodically by qualified personnel depending on the type of cooking and how often the filter is used.
In any case, it is necessary to replace the filter with active carbon every six months or when the saturation indicator (if your model is equipped with it) shows that it is necessary. Do not use the appliance without the filter.
Grease filter
The hood is equipped with a lighting system with LEDs. The LEDs guarantee optimal lighting, while consuming up to 90% less energy than traditional lamps.
For replacement, contact the technical service.
NO DRIP SYSTEM (SYSTEM FOR DRIPS) COMFORT EXCLUSIVE FOR CONDENS
In electric and induction plans, the temperature difference that is created between the hot part adjacent to the cooking and the cooler air below the suction part of the hood causes a condensation and dripping effect that could create problems during the cooking phase. The steam dispersion also tends to involve the surrounding environment and the structural part of the kitchen such as doors and base units of suspended elements. With the NO DRIP SYSTEM, all these inconveniences will no longer exist.
The device is designed, tested, and manufactured in accordance with:
- Safety: EN/IEC 60335-1; EN/IEC 60335-2-31, EN/IEC 62233.

Use
The hood is designed to be used in extraction mode (air exhausted outside) or in recirculation mode (air recirculated).
Extraction mode
In this mode, vapors are discharged outside through the flue pipe connected to the connecting ring.

Recirculation mode
The appliance is intended to be used with solid fuels in your fireplace. The air drawn in is deodorized and disinfected as it returns to the room through the upper grille.
Installation
The distance from the lower edge of the hood to the cooking surface of the hob must be at least 50 cm for electric hobs, and at least 62 cm for gas or combination hobs.
If the installation instructions for the gas hob specify a greater distance, take this into account.
Electrical connection
The mains voltage must match the voltage indicated on the technical data plate located inside the appliance. If the hood is fitted with a plug, connect it to a suitable socket. It must comply with current regulations and be located in an accessible place. It can be plugged in after installation. Installation
Before installation:
- Check that the dimensions of the product you have purchased are suitable for the chosen installation location.
- Remove the charcoal filters, if present (see also the relevant section). The filters are reinstalled only if you intend to use the hood in recirculation mode. Check that the hood is free of
any items placed there during transport (e.g., bags with screws, warranty leaflets, etc.), if any, remove and keep them.
Check the hood for the presence of all elements, make sure there is enough space for installation of the hood and that there is always the possibility of free access to the control panel.
Operation
This extractor hood is designed to prevent splashing of condensate on its lower surfaces when it is placed above induction hobs.
Unlike hot surfaces that work on gas or electricity, induction hobs heat only the pans with food, not the surrounding air, so the surfaces of the extractor hood remain cool.
When hot vapors and fumes from cooking rise and meet the cool surfaces of the extractor hood, they condense, and the steam from the air quickly turns into water droplets, which then inevitably fall onto the hot surface, carrying with them the grease and odors.
To prevent this, all internal surfaces of the hood are heated by heating elements, invisible from the outside, even when the hot surface under the hood is not turned on. That is, such heating is normal and does not indicate poor functioning of the system.
The extended filter is specially left without heating, to condense a large part of the moisture in the air. Therefore, droplets form on the surface, collected in the corresponding tray.
Precautions and recommendations for proper use
- It is recommended to turn on the extractor hood a few minutes before starting to cook, to give its lower surfaces time to heat up, and to leave it running until the odors disappear.
- It is recommended to remove the grease filters immediately after cooking, and give time for the condensate from them to flow into the collection tray. The condensate collection increases with the increase of speed (power) of the hood. The "NO DRIP" system works best at an ambient temperature between 18°C and 25°C. Always open the anti-return valve (flap) until the end of the run.

Operation
