Frequently Asked Questions - RollPilot Mini Laserliner

How to measure a wall-to-wall distance with the RollPilot Mini?
Place the back of the wheel against the first wall. Roll the wheel to the second wall while keeping the handle at a constant angle. Read the displayed distance and add the wheel diameter (159 mm) to get the actual distance.
How to reset the counter to zero?
Press the reset button (mark 5) located on the side of the counter. The mechanical counter resets to zero instantly.
What is the accuracy of the device?
The accuracy is ± 0.1%, ensuring reliable measurements for distances up to 9,999.9 m.
How to extend the telescopic handle?
Gently pull the two sections of the handle. It has two levels of continuous adjustment to fit your height. Close it after use.
How to measure from one point to another?
Place the movable needle (mark 7) on the first point. Roll the wheel in a straight line to the second point. Read the distance directly on the counter.
Does the device require batteries?
No, the RollPilot Mini is fully mechanical and operates without batteries. It uses a measuring wheel and a mechanical counter.
How to maintain the distance meter?
Clean the wheel and counter with a soft, dry cloth after each use. Avoid water and abrasive products. Store it in a dry place.
What is the maximum measuring range?
The maximum range is 9,999.9 meters, nearly 10 km, allowing measurement of very long distances.
How to measure from a wall to a specific point?
Place the back of the wheel against the wall. Roll the wheel in a straight line to the marked point. Add the wheel radius (79.5 mm) to the read value to get the exact distance.
What to do if measurements seem inaccurate?
Make sure the wheel rolls without slipping and the handle remains at a constant angle during measurement. Check that the counter is properly reset to zero before starting. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
