Vapours or electrolyte fluid may escape from the recharge-able battery if it is damaged or used improperly. Coming into contact with them may result in severe injury ( e.g. loss of sight, acid burns ).• Never open the rechargeable battery enclosure or the rechargeable battery itself.• Do not allow vapours or electrolyte fluid to come into contact with your eyes. In the event of contact with eyes: – Do not rub your eyes. – Immediately rinse eyes with plenty of clean water ( such as tap water ). – Seek medical advice.• Do not touch any electrolyte fluid that has escaped.• Immediately move product away from naked flamed or sources of heat.• Immediately remove contaminated clothing.• The light source of this luminaire cannot be replaced. If the light source needs to be replaced ( e.g. at the end of its service life ), the complete luminaire must be replaced.

3. XSolar SOL-O S/XSolar

SOL-O/XSolar SOL-O HN Proper use – Solar light with LEDs as the light source, for mounting on outdoor walls.Solar lights provide illumination in places where there is no mains power supply. The solar panel and rechargeable battery provide an independent supply of energy. – XSolar SOL-O S detects movement via an integrated infrared sensor and switches light ON. – XSolar SOL-O automatically detects when it is dark and switches light ON.

  • Ax house numbers to illuminated panel. (Fig 41)
  • Mark drill holes with the aid of a spirit level. (Fig 42)
  • Drill holes and insert wall plugs (Fig43)
  • Tightly screw wall mount in place (Fig44)
  • Settings ➔ “5 Operation”
  • Make settings (Fig51 + 55) Fit base on wall mount (Fig45) 5 Operation Before using for the first time
  • XSolar SOL-O S: Activate light by setting the programme selector switch to P3. The light stays in test mode for one minute before it starts to work in programme P3.
  • XSolar SOL-O: Activate light by setting the programme selector switch to P2. The light stays in test mode for one minute before it starts to work in programme P2. Test mode During the test sequence the light works in daylight mode. On detecting movement, the light switches ON for 1minute with a stay-ON time of 10seconds, irrespective of light- level setting. The programme is automatically activated after this time elapses. The red LED stays ON all the time in test mode. XSolar SOL-O S Setting the chosen operating mode by programme selector switch (Fig51) – P0: OFF (factory setting). The light is deactivated. – P1: Sensor mode. The light switches ON after detecting movement. – P2: Sensor mode with night light. The light switches ON after detecting movement. Light permanently ON in the morning and evening hours at reduced night light level. – P3: Illumination of house numbers and sensor mode. At night, house numbers are illuminated at reduced night light level. Light switches ON after receiving a signal from the motion detector. If the battery charge is low, house number illumination has priority over the main light. This means night light is active but the light does not switch ON in response to movement. Stay-ON time and brightness – Stay-ON time is determined when the light is used for the first time. – During the first night, night light is switched OFF in the morning in programme 2. – Stay-ON time and brightness are automatically matched to ambient conditions, e.g. stay-ON time may be longer in summer than it is in winter. – Night light provides illumination at night of approx. 3% light output. Light is switched to maximum output when movement is identified in the detection zone. The light then switches back to night light (approx.3%). Using night light reduces light availability. If it is not needed, we recommend switching it OFF (P1) to ensure lighting availability in less sunny periods. Adjusting the detection zone (Fig52, Fig 53, Fig 54) The detection zone can be limited to suit requirements. The shrouds supplied with the unit can be used to mask out as many lens segments as you wish. This prevents the light from being activated unintentionally, e.g. by cars, passersby etc., and allows you to target danger spots. The shrouds can be cut along the grooved vertical divisions. Then you simply clip them onto the lens. XSolar SOL-O/XSolar SOL-O HN Setting the chosen operating mode via programme selector switch (Fig55) – OFF: (factory setting). The power consumers (LEDs) are deactivated. – P1: evening mode. The luminaire activates constant illumination when ambient light falls below the light level threshold (2lux) and automatically switches it OFF again after approx. 4h. Light is adjusted to optimum brightness for the level of battery charge. – P2: night mode. The luminaire activates reduced constant illumination when ambient light falls below the light level threshold (2lux) and automatically switches it OFF again at dawn. Light is adjusted to optimum brightness for the level of battery charge. 6 Charging the battery manually The red LED in the motion detector or light flashes if battery capacity is too low ( e.g. in poor weather ). The battery can be recharged with a standard micro USB charging adapter, e.g. a mobile phone charging cable ( not included ). The battery can take up to 6hours to recharge.
  • Separate base from wall mount with the twist of a screwdriver. (Fig61)
  • Detach USB protection. Connect micro USB charging adapter (Fig62) – Red LED flashing: charging in progress.
  • The LED may take up to 10minutes to start flashing if the battery has run down to very low level. – Red LED on: battery is fully charged.
  • Remove micro USB charging adapter. – Red LED goes out.
  • Fit base on wall mount (Fig45) 7 Maintenance/care The product requires no maintenance. Regularly checking the product for damage can prolong its lifespan. Removing dirt can prolong the product's lifespan. If the solar panel is dirty or weather has left deposits on it:
  • Clean solar panel with a soft cloth and mild detergent. 110073820_STE_XSolar SOL-O S_SOL-O_HN.indd 12110073820_STE_XSolar SOL-O S_SOL-O_HN.indd 12 06.11.23 16:4006.11.23 16:40- 13 - 8 Disposal Electrical and electronic equipment, accessories and pack-aging must be recycled in an environmentally compatible manner.
