EN Instruction on mounting and use
Closely follow the instructions set out in this manual. All responsibility, for any eventual inconveniences, damages or fires caused by not complying with the instructions in this manual, is declined. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: - staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; - farm houses; - by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; - bed and breakfast type environments.
The hood can look different to that illustrated in the drawings in this booklet. The instructions for use, maintenance and installation, however, remain the same.
It is important to conserve this booklet for consultation at any moment. In the case of sale, cession or move, make sure it is together with the product. ! Read the instructions carefully: there is important information about installation, use and safety. ! Do not carry out electrical or mechanical variations on the product or on the discharge conduits. ! Before proceeding with the installation of the appliance verify that there are no damaged all components. Otherwise contact your dealer and do not proceed with the installation.
Note: the elements marked with the symbol (*) are optional accessories supplied only with some models or elements to purchase, not supplied.

Caution
Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, disconnect hood from the mains by removing the plug or disconnecting the mains electrical supply. Always wear work gloves for all installation and maintenance operations.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not be allowed to tamper with the controls or play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
The premises where the appliance is installed must be sufficiently ventilated, when the kitchen hood is used together with other gas combustion devices or other fuels.
The hood must be regularly cleaned on both the inside and outside (AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH).
This must be completed in accordance with the maintenance instructions provided. Failure to follow the instructions provided regarding the cleaning of the hood and filters will lead to the risk of fires.
Do not flambé under the range hood.
The use of exposed flames is detrimental to the filters and may cause a fire risk, and must therefore be avoided in all circumstances.
Any frying must be done with care in order to make sure that the oil does not overheat and ignite.
CAUTION: Accessible parts of the hood may become hot when used with cooking appliances.
For lamp replacement use only lamp type indicated in the Maintenance/Replacing lamps section of this manual.
WARNING! Do not connect the appliance to the mains until the installation is fully complete.
With regards to the technical and safety measures to be adopted for fume discharging it is important to closely follow the regulations provided by the local authorities.
The air must not be discharged into a flue that is used for exhausting fumes from appliance burning gas or other fuels.
Do not use or leave the hood without the lamp correctly mounted due to the possible risk of electric shocks.
Never use the hood without effectively mounted grids.
The hood must NEVER be used as a support surface unless specifically indicated.
Use only the fixing screws supplied with the product for installation or, if not supplied, purchase the correct screws type.
Use the correct length for the screws which are identified in the Installation Guide.
In case of doubt, consult an authorised service assistance centre or similar qualified person.
WARNING! Failure to install the screws or fixing device in accordance with these instructions may result in electrical
hazards.
Do not use with a programmer, timer, separate remote control system or any other device that switches on automatically.
This appliance is marked according to the European directive 2012/19/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product.

The symbol on the product, or on the documents accompanying the product, indicates that this appliance may not be treated as household waste. Instead it should be taken to the appropriate collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. Disposal must be carried out in accordance with local environmental regulations for waste disposal.

Suggestions for a correct use in order to reduce the environmental impact: Switch ON the hood at minimum speed when you start cooking and keep it running for a few minutes after cooking is finished. Increase the speed only in case of large amount of smoke and vapour and use boost speed(s) only in extreme situations. Replace the charcoal filter(s) when necessary to maintain a good odour reduction efficiency. Clean the grease filter(s) when necessary to maintain a good grease filter efficiency. Use the maximum diameter of the ducting system indicated in this manual to optimize efficiency and minimize noise.
Use
The hood is designed to be used either for exhausting or filter version.

Ducting version
In this case the fumes are conveyed outside of the building by means of a special pipe connected with the connection ring located on top of the hood.
Attention! The exhausting pipe is not supplied and must be purchased apart.
Diameter of the exhausting pipe must be equal to that of the connection ring.
Attention! If the hood is supplied with active charcoal filter, then it must be removed.
Connect the hood and discharge holes on the walls with a diameter equivalent to the air outlet (connection flange).
Using the tubes and discharge holes on walls with smaller dimensions will cause a diminution of the suction performance and a drastic increase in noise.
Any responsibility in the matter is therefore declined.
Use a duct of the minimum indispensable length. Use a duct with as few elbows as possible (maximum elbow angle: 90°). Avoid drastic changes in the duct cross-section.

Filter version
The aspirated air will be degreased and deodorised before being fed back into the room.
In order to use the hood in this version, you have to install a system of additional filtering based on activated charcoal.
Installation
The minimum distance between the supporting surface for the cooking equipment on the hob and the lowest part of the range hood must be not less than 50 cm from electric cookers and 50 cm from gas or mixed cookers.
If the instructions for installation for the gas hob specify a greater distance, this must be adhered to.

Electrical connection
The mains power supply must correspond to the rating indicated on the plate situated inside the hood. If provided with a plug, connect the hood to a socket in compliance with current regulations and positioned in an accessible area, after installation. If it is not fitted with a plug (direct mains connection) or if the plug is not located in an accessible area, after installation, apply a double pole switch in accordance with standards which assures the complete disconnection of the mains under conditions relating to over-current category III, in accordance with installation instructions.
Warning! Before re-connecting the hood circuit to the mains supply and checking the efficient function, always check that the mains cable is correctly assembled.
Warning! If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid hazard.
Mounting
Before beginning installation:
- Check that the product purchased is of a suitable size for the chosen installation area.
- Remove the charcoal (*) filter(s) if supplied (see also the relevant paragraph). These are to be mounted only if you want to use the hood in the filtering version.
- Check (for transport reasons) that there is no other supplied material inside the hood (e.g., packets with screws ( ), guarantees ( ), etc.), and if there is, remove it and keep it.
If there are panels and/or walls and/or lateral wall units, check that there is sufficient space to install the hood and that access to the control panel is easy.
Operation

Maintenance
Cleaning
Clean using ONLY a cloth dampened with neutral liquid detergent. DO NOT CLEAN WITH TOOLS OR INSTRUMENTS. Do not use abrasive products. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!
Panel

Attention! Hold the panel with both hands when dismantling and re-mounting it in position to avoid it falling and causing damage to people or things.
Dismantling:
- Pull the panel (FRONT SIDE) downward with decision.
- Push to the left the small lever located on the right side of the panel.
- Unhook it from the back hinges.
Cleaning:
Clean the suction panel with the same frequency as the grease filter using a cloth soaked in neutral liquid detergents.
Avoid using products containing abrasives. DO NOT USE ALCOHOLS.
Assembly:
The panel must be hooked at the back and fixed in front, fitted into the pins provided on the surface of the hood.
Attention! Always check that the panel is well fixed in its place.
Grease filter

The grease filter must be cleaned once a month using non-aggressive detergents, either by hand or in the dishwasher, which must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle. When washed in a dishwasher, the grease filter may discolour slightly, but this does not affect its filtering capacity.
To remove the grease filter, pull the spring release handle.
Charcoal filter (filter version only)

It absorbs unpleasant odours caused by cooking.
The saturation of the charcoal filter occurs after more or less prolonged use, depending on the type of cooking and the regularity of cleaning of the grease filter.
In any case it is necessary to replace the cartridge at least every four months.
The charcoal filter may NOT be washed or regenerated.
Circular carbon filter
Apply one on each side as cover to both the shield grids of the motor impeller, then turn clockwise.
For the disassembly, turn counter-clockwise.
Replacing lamps

Disconnect the appliance from the electricity.
Warning! Prior to touching the light bulbs ensure they are cooled down.
Replace the old light bulb with the one of the same type as specified in the feature label or near the light lamp on the hood.
- Using a flat head screwdriver or equivalent tool, carefully pry loose the light cover.
- Remove the damaged light and replace with a new 12 Volt, 20 Watt (Maximum) halogen light made for a G-4 base suitable for use in open luminaires. Follow package directions and do not touch new light with bare hands.
- Reinstall the light cover. (it will snap shut).
If the lights do not work, make sure that the lamps are fitted properly into their housings before you call for technical assistance.
The hood is equipped with a lighting system based on LED technology.
The LEDs guarantee an optimum lighting, a duration up to 10 times as long as the traditional lamps and allow to save 90% electrical energy.
For replacement, contact the technical service.

Recommendations for correct use to reduce environmental impact: Switch on the extractor at minimum speed when cooking, and leave it running for a few minutes after cooking. Increase the speed only in case of large amounts of fumes or steam. Increase the speed only in extreme situations. Clean the filters regularly when necessary to maintain good efficiency. Replace the filters for grease when necessary to maintain good filter efficiency. Use the maximum diameter of the ducting system, as indicated in this manual, to optimize efficiency and reduce noise.
Use
Extractor hoods are intended for the following purpose: suction and extraction of fumes and vapors from cooking, and simultaneous purification of the air.

The appliance is connected to the exhaust pipe via an air duct.
The diameter of the air duct must correspond to the diameter of the connecting piece.
Attention! The air duct is not included with the appliance and must be purchased separately.
If the appliance is equipped with a filter with active carbon, the duct must be removed.
Connect the appliance to the air duct and the outlet. The diameter of the duct must correspond to the diameter of the connecting piece for air extraction.
The connection to the air duct and the outlet with the help of the diameter of the exhaust pipe reduces the noise during operation.
In this case, the manufacturer assumes no responsibility.
Use the duct with the necessary length. Use the duct with the shortest possible length (maximum length of the duct: 90°). Do not bend the duct sharply!

Filter version
The extracted air is filtered and then returned to the room. To use the appliance in this mode of operation, you must install the filter system at the base of the filter and the active carbon filter.
Installation
The minimum distance between the surface on which the cooking appliances are placed and the lower part of the kitchen hood must be at least 50 cm in the case of electric cookers and at least 50 cm in the case of gas or combined cookers.
If the instructions for the gas appliances specify a greater distance, this must be taken into account.

Electrical connection
The appliance must be connected to the mains voltage, which is indicated on the rating plate with the data for the appliance, supplied by the manufacturer. If the appliance is supplied with a plug, the corresponding standards and regulations for the installation location must be observed. If it is not supplied with a plug (direct connection to the mains), the installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician, using a double-pole switch, so that the appliance can be disconnected from the mains with a contact gap of at least 3 mm, in accordance with the installation rules.
Attention! Before connecting the appliance to the mains and checking that it functions correctly, check that the cable is installed as required.
Attention! The installation and connection of the appliance must be carried out by qualified personnel, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and current safety regulations.
INSTALLATION
Before proceeding with the installation:
- Make sure that the product you have purchased corresponds in size to the chosen installation location.
- Remove the filters (if present) with an active carbon filter (this is possible if the model you have purchased is equipped with such). To do this, follow the operations in the relevant paragraph. Reinstall the filters only if you wish to use the appliance in the recirculation version.
- Make sure that during transport, inside the appliance, no foreign objects have entered, such as screws, packaging material, etc.; if you find any, remove them and keep them.
When installing on a wall, ceiling, or cabinet, make sure you have enough space to install the appliance and that you have free access to the control panel.

MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
For cleaning, use ONLY a cloth dampened with neutral detergent. DO NOT use instruments or devices for cleaning!
Avoid products that contain abrasives.
Attention! N'utilisez pas d'alcool !
Panneau

Attention! Fixez-le avec les deux vis, lorsque vous le démontez ou le montez, pour qu'il ne tombe pas et ne blesse pas des personnes ou des objets.
Démontage :
- Débranchez la fiche électrique de la prise (de sa face avant),
- Tournez à gauche le petit loquet qui se trouve du côté droit du panneau,
- puis libérez-le des charnières arrière.
Nettoyage :
Le panneau aspirant doit être nettoyé avec un chiffon humide, que vous imbibez d'un détergent doux. Pour cela, utilisez un chiffon sec et un produit neutre.
N'utilisez pas de produits qui contiennent des particules abrasives ! N'utilisez pas d'alcool !
Montage :
Fixez le panneau dans la partie arrière et enclenchez-le via les charnières dans la partie avant vers les supports spécialement prévus pour les vis, placés sur la surface de l'aspirateur.
Attention! Assurez-vous que le panneau est bien enclenché.

Filter parts, separated when cooking.
The product is designed for use with neutral detergents. It is not recommended to use the machine at temperatures above 40°C and in short washing cycles.
Using a filter for washing is possible, but it should not be used in the dishwasher.
To remove the washing filter, turn the knob with the mechanical mechanism.
The filter is activated (most for filtering)

Close the inlet valve when it is not in use.
The activated carbon filter should be replaced periodically depending on the cooking mode and how often the filter is used.
In any case, it is necessary to replace the activated carbon filter every four months or when the indicator for saturation shows that it is necessary.
It cannot be reused.
Cover of the activated carbon filter
Place the filter on the side, so that the two guides on the working side of the motor are covered, then turn it in the direction of the arrow.
When removing, turn in the opposite direction of the arrow.
Remove the cover.
Read the instructions before use.
Warning! Before taking the lamp in hand, check that it has cooled down.
Replace the damaged lamp with a new one of the same type, as indicated in the characteristics table near the lamp on the extractor hood.
- Using a small screwdriver or similar tool, remove the cover of the lamp. 2. Remove the protective cap.
Use only halogen lamps 12V, max 20W - G4, as indicated in the technical data.
- Close the cover (press to secure). If the lamp does not light, check that it is installed correctly before contacting a specialist.
LED lamp
The extractor hood is equipped with a lighting system with LEDs.
The LEDs guarantee optimal lighting, up to 10 times longer than traditional lamps and allow 90% energy savings.
For more information, contact the technical service.
Use the correct length for the screws which are identified in the Installation Guide.
In case of uncertainty, consult an authorized service center or a qualified person.
Never use the extractor hood without the correctly installed filter!
The hood must never be used as a support surface, unless otherwise indicated.
Use only screws provided for fixing in the kit with the product for installation. If not in the kit, purchase screws of the correct type. Use the correct length of screws as indicated in the installation guide. In case of doubt, consult the authorized service center for maintenance by qualified personnel.
WARNING! Incorrect installation of screws and accessories for fixing in accordance with these instructions may lead to risks of electric shock.

Use
The hood is designed to operate with air exhaust to the outside or with air recirculation.

Execution with air exhaust
In this mode, the hood exhausts air to the outside through an exhaust pipe connected to the connecting ring. The diameter of the exhaust pipe must correspond to the diameter of the connecting ring.
Attention! The exhaust pipe is not included in the delivery set and must be purchased separately.
The hood is equipped with a non-return flap that prevents the hood from being connected to an exhaust pipe with a diameter corresponding to the air outlet opening (connecting flange).
Installing pipes with a smaller diameter will reduce the suction power of the air and sharply increase the noise level.
The manufacturer disclaims any liability in relation to the above.
Use a pipe with the minimum required length. Use a pipe with the minimum number of bends (maximum bend angle: 90°). Avoid sharp changes in the pipe direction.

Execution with recirculation
Do not use in rooms containing abrasive substances. Do not use in the presence of sparks!
Installation:
Insert the flange from the rear and insert the plug into the holes located on the surface of the hood.
Attention! Always check that the flange is well secured in its place.
Grease filters

The device should be cleaned with mild detergents, manually or in a dishwasher at low temperature to save energy.
Washing in a dishwasher may cause some discoloration of the filter, but its filtering characteristics remain absolutely unchanged.
Repeat 20 times, do not release into the pipe as using other detergents may damage the seal and other parts.
Do not use or install the socket without properly installed lamps with risk of electric shock.

Never use the socket without properly installed grille!
The socket must never be used as a support surface, unless otherwise specified.
Use screws for fixing in the hood with the product for installation, if there are no screws in the hood, purchase the correct type. Use the correct screw length as indicated in the installation manual. In case of doubt, consult an authorized ZENTRI service center with qualified personnel. WARNING! Installing non-compliant screws and fasteners in accordance with these instructions may lead to electric shock hazards.

Use
The hood is designed for use in extraction mode, exhausting air outside, or in filtration mode with recirculation of air.

Extraction mode
The fumes are discharged outside through an exhaust pipe attached to the flange connection.
The diameter of the exhaust pipe must match the diameter of the connection ring.
Warning! The pipe is not supplied, so it must be purchased separately.
If the hood is equipped with charcoal filters, they must be removed.
Attach the hood to the exhaust pipe at the exhaust outlet with the same diameter as the air outlet (flange).
Using exhaust pipes and outlets with a smaller diameter will lead to reduced performance and increased noise.
Therefore, we decline all responsibility for any damage caused by not following these instructions! Use only short exhaust ducts.
! Use exhaust ducts with the minimum number of bends (maximum bend angle: 90°). Avoid sharp changes in the cross-section of the exhaust duct.

Recirculation mode
The air is filtered and returned to the room. To use the hood in this mode, it is necessary to install an additional filter system with activated charcoal.
Installation
The distance from the hob to the hood must be at least 50 cm for electric hobs, and 50 cm for gas and combination hobs.
It is necessary to take into account the distances specified in the installation instructions for the gas hob.

Electrical connection
The voltage in the electrical network must comply with the characteristics indicated on the plate located inside the appliance. If the plug is included in the delivery, connect the appliance to a socket that meets the existing standards and is in an accessible place, so that it can be disconnected after installation. If the plug is not included (direct connection to the electrical network), or the socket is not in an accessible place, also after installation, then install a reliable two-pole switch that ensures complete disconnection from the network under conditions of overvoltage category III, in full compliance with installation rules.
Warning! Before connecting the appliance to the electrical network again, check the correctness of the work, control the switching of the network by the switch installed correctly.
Warning! Replacement of the electric cable must be carried out by authorized service technicians.
Installation
Before starting installation:
- Check the dimensions of the supplied appliance against the chosen installation location. Remove any protective film if present (see also the relevant section). The filter will be reinstalled if you want to use the hood in recirculation mode.
- Check that no foreign objects have got inside the hood during transportation (for example, packaging with screws, warranty card, etc.). If any, remove them and keep them.

Attention! When installing the panel, hold it with both hands, align it with the opening and the markings, and press it into place.
Removal:
- Pull the panel (bottom edge) downwards.
Do not use tools that may damage the material. Do not use alcohol!
Installation:
The panel is first inserted into the slot and then placed in front of the guides, which are on the surface of the extractor.
Attention! Make sure the panel is properly secured in its place.
Grease filter

The grease filter retains grease particles that are produced during cooking.
It should be cleaned regularly with mild cleaning agents, by hand or in the dishwasher at low temperatures and with a short cycle.
When washing in the dishwasher, the grease filter may lose its color, but its filtering characteristics will not change.
To remove the grease filter, press the handle on the filter.

The carbon filter should be checked after a short period of use, depending on the type of kitchen and the frequency of cooking. In any case, it is necessary to replace the cartridge at least every three months.
Do not wash or reuse.
Round carbon filter
Remove the filter by turning it counterclockwise, then replace it by turning it clockwise.
To remove the filter, turn it counterclockwise.
Replacing the lamp

Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
Warning! Before touching the lamp, make sure it has cooled down.
Replace the damaged lamp with a new one of the same type, as indicated on the label, or with a similar one.
- Remove the protective cover using a screwdriver or similar tool.
- Replace the burnt-out lamp.
Replace the lamp with a 12V-20W max G4 lamp, do not touch it with your hands.
- Close the plafond (fastening with latch).
If the lighting system does not work, check the lamp installation in the socket before contacting the technical support center.

The lighting system is based on LED technology.
LEDs provide optimal lighting, their lifespan is 10 times longer than conventional lamps and they provide 90% energy savings.
For their replacement, contact the technical service.
The manufacturer is not responsible for damage caused by improper use of the device or by non-compliance with the operating instructions. Any damage resulting from such use is not covered by the warranty.

The manufacturer's instructions for installation and use are provided in the following documents:
Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the instructions. Use only the accessories and consumables recommended by the manufacturer. Do not use the device in explosive or flammable atmospheres. Do not use the device near water or in wet conditions. If the device is damaged, contact qualified personnel for repair. If the power cord is damaged, contact qualified personnel for replacement.
The device must be operated and stored in accordance with the instructions provided in the user manual.
Safety
The device is intended for use with the specified power supply, or with the battery pack provided.

Inserting the battery
Insert the battery into the compartment as shown in the figure.
The battery compartment must be closed securely before use.
Do not force the battery into the compartment; insert it carefully.
When inserting the battery, ensure it is oriented correctly and do not use excessive force.
Do not use the device with damaged batteries; replace them with new ones of the same type.
Do not bend the power cord excessively. Do not pull the cord with force (maximum bending angle: 90°). Do not step on the cord or place heavy objects on it.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified person.
When the device is not in use, disconnect it from the power source and store it in a dry place.
Cleaning
The distance between the device and the wall or other objects should be at least 50 cm for electrical appliances, and at least 50 cm for gas or other fuel appliances.
If the replacement of the original part is not carried out, it must be inspected.

Electric tools
If the tool is used for work for which it is not intended, or if it is used with non-original accessories, this can lead to malfunctions. If the tool is used with non-original accessories (not recommended), or if it is used for work for which it is not intended, then the original manufacturer's warranty may be voided. Therefore, it is necessary to strictly follow the instructions for use.
WARNING! To correctly replace the electric tool, you must follow the correct installation procedure.
WARNING! Only authorized technical personnel or qualified electricians should perform repairs.
Battery
When replacing the original:
- Remove the battery from the tool before making any adjustments.
- Remove the battery pack(s) (if present) (see also the relevant figures). If the battery pack is damaged, it must be replaced. Do not use the tool if the battery pack is damaged. Also, do not use the tool if the housing, the battery pack, or the cables are damaged. Replace them and store them properly.
If there are any cracks or breaks in the housing or in the cable, or if the cable is damaged, the tool must be
repaired by a qualified technician before further use.
Maintenance
Use only the specified voltage (A) for charging.
