Warning-Batteries

- When inserting batteries, notethecorr ectpolarity (+and- m arkings) and insert the batteries accordingly. Failure to do so could result in the batteriesleakingoreexploding.

- Before you insert the batteries, clean the battery contacts and thehpatrycontacts.

4. Firststeps- Insertingthebatteries

Note
- Alkaline batteries are recommended. Use two batteriesofthetype"AAA"(LR03/Micro).
- Removethebatterycoveronthebackofthe universalremotecontrol(A).
- Insertthebatteries, observing the "+/-" marks for polarity(B).
- Closethebatterycompartment(C).

Note:Codememory
- When replacing the batteries, all the codes you have programmed remain stored for 10 minutes. Makes sure that you don't press any buttons until then new batteries are inserted in the remote control. If you press a button and there are nobatteries in the remote control, all codes will be deleted.

Note:Energysavingfunction
- Theremotecontrolswitchesitselfoffautomatically ifa buttonispressedforlongerthan15seconds. Thisprolongsthelifeofthebatteriesiftheremote control is stuck in a place where the buttons are pressedpermanently, e .g.betweensofacushions.

5. Setup
Note
- For proper infra-red transmission, always hold the remotecontrol intheapproximatedirectionofthe devicetobep operated.
Pressthe"MODE"buttonselectthesecondary device group: AUX, AMP,DVB-T,CBL (8 in 1 model only).
Pressthe"SHIFT"keytocontrolthebluefunction keys. Theshiftfunctionisdeactivatedbypressing the"SHIFT"keyagainorautomaticallyafter30 secondsifnokeyispressed. - Ifnoentryismadewithin30seconds,SETUPmode isautomaticallyterminated.TheLEDflashessix timesandthengoesout.
Note

Eachtypeofdevicecanbeprogrammedunderany device key, e.g. a TV can be programmed under DVD,AUX,etc.
- You cannot operate a device with the universal remotecontrolwhileitisinSetupmode.ExitSetup modeandselectthedevicetobepoperatedusing thedeviceselectionbuttons.
- Please notetethattheremotecontrolmitsinfra-red signals. These are not visible to the human eye.
5.1Directcodeentry
A codelistisincludedintheuniversalremotecontrol's extentofdelivery. T hecodelistcontainsfour-digitcodes forsettingtheremotecontroltoworkwithmostAV equipmentmanufacturers.
For easy orientation, the codes are sorted first by type of device(TV, D VD,etc.) and withinthetypeofdevice alphabeticallybybrandname.
5.1.1Switchthedeviceyouwishtooperateon.
5.1.2 Pressthe"SETUP" button until the LED lights up continuously.
5.1.3Usethedevicebuttontoselectthedevicetobep operated(e.g.TV).Iftheselectionissuccessful, theLEDflashesonceandthenlightsup permanently.
5.1.4Searchthecodelistforthebrandandtypeofthe devicetobeoperated.
5.1.5Enterthecorrespondingfour-digitcodeusingthe numberkeys0-9.TheLEDconfirmstheentryof eachdigitwithas hortflashhandgoesoutafter thefourthdigit.
5.1.6Thentesttheremotecontrolandcheckwhether thedesiredfunctionscanbecontrolled.Itis possiblethatthefirstcodeisnotthemost suitable,andpossiblynotallfunctionsare available.Inthiscase,trythenextcode mentionedfortheselecteddevicetype/brand fromthelist.

5.2Manualcodesearch
Theuniversalremotecontrolhasaninternalmemory thatalreadycontainsupto350codesperdevicetypefor the most common AV devices. You can go through these codes until the device to be operated shows a response. For example, the devicetobepoperatedswitchesoff ("POWER"key)orchangeschannel("PROG+/PROG-" key).
5.2.1Switchthedeviceyouwishtooperation.
5.2.2 PresstheSETUPbuttonuntiltheLEDlightsup permanently.
5.2.3 Usethedevicebuttontoselectthedevicetobep operated(e.g.TV).Iftheselectionissuccessful, theLEDflashesonceandthenlightsup permanently.
5.2.4Pressthe"POWER"or"PROG+/PROG-"keyto scrollthroughepresetcodesuntilthdeviceto beoperatedshowsa r response.
5.2.5Press"OK"tosavethecodeandexittthecodesearch.TheLEDgoesout.
5.2.6Thentesttheremotecontrolandcheckwhether thedesiredfunctionscanbecontrolled.Itis possiblethatthefirstcodefoundisnotthe mostsuitable,andpossiblynotallfunctionsare available.Inthiscase,repeatsteps5.2.1. -5.2.5. Thecodesearchstartswiththenextcode followingthelastonesaved.
Note

Settingthesearspeed
- Thedefaultsettingforthesearchtimepercodeis 1 s econd. If this doesn't suit you, you can change to a search time of 3 seconds per code. To switch betweensearchtimes, press "PROG+" or "PROG-" within the 6 seconds before the automatic code searchstarts.
5.3.5TheLEDconfirmstherespectivecodesearches witha singleflash.
5.3.6Assoonasthedevicetobeoperatedshowsa response,pressthe"OK"buttonsavethecode andexitthecodesearch.TheLEDgoesout.
5.3.7Thentesttheremotecontrolandcheckwhether thedesiredfunctionscanbecontrolled.Itis possiblethatthefirstcodefoundisnotthemostsuitable,andpossiblynotallfunctions areavailable.Inthiscase,repeatsteps 5.3.1-5.3.6.Theecodesearchstartswiththenext codefollowingthelastonesAVED.
5.3.8Tocanceltheautomaticsearchduringthesearch process, pressthe"EXIT"key.

- Ifallcodeshavebeensear chedwithoutsuccess, theuniversalremotecontrollexitstheautomatic codesearchandautomaticallyreturnsto operatingmode. Thecurrentlystoredcoderemains unchanged.
5.4Coderecognition
