Purpose

The portable edge banding machine is used to apply hot melt glue evenly on the banding tape, and this product is easy to operate on both straight and curved edges of wooden furniture boards. It works effectively with a variety of bendable tapes, including ABS, melamine, veneer, and PVC.

Operation

1. When the machine is powered on, the red light turns on, and the Glue-melting Tank begins heating the hot melt glue inside.

2. Set the heating temperature between 120-150°C based on the melting point of the hot melt glue. Once the glue reaches its melting point, the Glue-melting Tank automatically switches to heat-preservation mode, and the moving engine starts running, indicating the machine is ready to apply the tape. The heating element is controlled by a thermostat. Even when the moving engine stops, the Glue-melting Tank continues heating or maintaining the set temperature.

3. If you need to stop the machine, press the EMERGENCY STOP button on top of the handle to stop the moving engine, while the heating element remains on. Alternatively, press the main switch to turn off the entire machine.

4. When banding small wood pieces, secure the machine to the working table using the provided fixing blanket. Push the wood piece at the machine's running speed. (As shown in the picture.)

1. When banding large wood pieces, secure the wood piece on the working table using the provided absorber. Hold the machine by hand to apply the banding. (As shown in the picture.)

NOTICE

- Before operation, ensure the wood piece's edge is even, clean, and free of dirt or dust. Check that the tape is smooth and flexible.

- Before using the machine to band with a new tape, adjust the glue thickness by turning the knob according to the tape's thickness after the moving engine starts.

- Adjust the High Limiter to match the tape width, ensuring smooth application without

the tape shifting up or down.

Maintenance

• Keep the machine body clean. Use gasoline or a specialized cleaner for hot melt glue to clean the blanket, press tape wheel, tape-sending wheel, and High Limiter.
• Clean out residual hot melt glue from the Glue-melting Tank every 50 working hours before adding new glue. To clean: power on the machine, heat the Glue-melting Tank, and turn off the engine. Once the glue has softened, use a wooden spoon to remove the remaining glue from the tank. (Ensure you wear heat-resistant gloves to avoid burns.)

Troubleshooting

If any issues arise with the machine, they should be addressed as follows:

1. If the indicating light is not on after switching on the machine:

2. Check the power supply and ensure the power cable is firmly connected.

3. Check if the fuse needs to be replaced.

4. If glue on the tape is too thin, insufficient, or uneven:

• If the banding tape is too hard or unbendable, it may not press closely to the gluing wheel.
- Adjust the pressure on the tape using the Press Tape Wheel.
- Ensure the glue in the Glue-melting Tank is fully melted and at least 1/3 full.
- Check for glue buildup between the Glue-melting Tank and the gluing wheel surface.
- Verify that the hot melt glue and banding tape meet the specifications and replace them if necessary.

• Power off the machine and open it.
- Inspect whether the heating pipe, temperature control meters, or probe need replacement.
