2. Operating safety

CAUTION! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in serious injury or death.
The term “machine” or “product” in the warnings and instructions refers to METAL FOLDER.
2.1. Workplace safety
a) Keep the workplace tidy and well lit. Disorder or poor lighting can lead to accidents. Be careful, watch what you are doing and use common sense when working with the machine.
b) The product is not intended to be used by individuals (including children) with reduced mental, sensory or intellectual capacity or lack
of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by an individual responsible for their safety or have been given instructions by the responsible individual on how to operate the product.
c) The machine may only be operated by individuals who are physically fit, capable of handling the machine and who have been adequately trained, have read this manual and have received training in health and safety.
d) In the event of damage or malfunction of the machine, immediately remove it from service and report the incident to authorised personnel.
e) If in doubt as to whether the machine is working, contact the manufacturer's technical service.
f) Repairs to the machine may only be carried out by the manufacturer's service. Do not attempt to repair the product on your own!
g) No children or unauthorised individuals shall be allowed at the workplace. (Lack of attention may result in loss of control over the machine).
h) During the processing of workpieces, pay attention to the presence of bystanders and their safety.
i) Carefully watch the workpiece during processing in order to react quickly enough to hazard and to prevent damage to the workpiece.
j) Keep order and remove all dust, debris and obsolete fragments of the processed element after processing.
k) If making a large number of workpieces, store the input and output workpieces to keep the workplace in order.

Remember! Keep children and other bystanders safe while operating this product.
2.2. Personal safety
a) Do not operate the product if you are tired, ill or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication which might significantly impair your ability to operate the product.
b) Be careful and use common sense when operating the product. Even a brief moment of distraction during operation may lead to serious injury.
c) Use the required personal protective equipment when working with the machine (as specified in Section 1, "Explanation of symbols"). The
use of appropriate and approved personal protective equipment reduces the risk of injury.
d) Do not overestimate your capabilities. Maintain proper body balance at all times during operation. This allows for better control of the product in unexpected situations.
e) Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery or long hair can be caught by moving parts.
f) Remove all adjusting tools or wrenches before operating the machine. A tool or key left in the rotating part of the product may cause injury.
g) The material being processed processing shall be free of contaminants.
h) Do not touch moving parts or accessories during operation of this machine.
i) Use protective gloves in order to avoid cutting by sharp edges.
j) Do not process workpieces made of hard materials.
k) Never attempt to tamper with the product to change its parameters or structure.
I) Keep this manual for future reference. If the product is to be handed over to a third party, hand it over with this user manual.
m) Keep packaging components and small installation parts out of the reach of children.
n) When operating this machine together with other machines, follow each of their user manuals.
2.3. Safe use of the product
a) Do not overload the product. Use tools that are suitable for the application. A correctly selected product ensures better and safer performance of the work it is intended for.
b) Keep unused machines out of the reach of children and anyone unfamiliar with the machine or this manual. machines are dangerous in the hands of inexperienced users.
c) Keep the product in good working order. Before each use, check for generally evident damage and damage to any of the moving parts (inspect for cracks in parts and components or any other condition that may affect the safe operation of the product). If damage is found, have the product repaired before use.
d) Keep the product out of the reach of children.
e) The product shall be repaired and maintained by qualified personnel using original spare parts only. This will ensure safe operation of the product.
f) To ensure the designed operational integrity of the product, do not remove the factory-installed covers or loosen any bolts.
g) When transporting and handling the machine from storage to the place of use, follow the health and safety regulations for manual handling that apply in the country of operation of the machine.
h) Process workpieces on the machine in accordance with the specifications in the technical data table. Do not exceed the dimension limits of the workpieces to be processed.
i) Do not process more than one workpiece at a time.
j) Long workpieces shall be supported and fixed to be stable during processing.
k) Install this machine on a sound, dry, and level work surface the size of which is sufficient for the machine and the workpieces to be processed with it.
I) The floor at the workplace shall be slip-resistant.

CAUTION! Although the machine has been designed to be safe and has been provided with adequate safeguards, and despite the use of additional safety measures, there is still a low, residual risk of accident or injury during its operation. Caution and common sense are advised when using the product.
3. Rules of use
This product is intended for manual bending of metal workpieces. The user is responsible for any damage caused by non-intended use.
3.1. Machine overview

3.2. Operating the machine
INSTALLATION
Before operating this machine, fasten it using bolts (not included) to the work surface which is sufficiently strong and sound to ensure safe and correct operation.

Y - Workpiece (sheet metal)
1) Set the bending plate [B] and the retaining plate [D] of the bending brake at 180^ to one another.
2) Place the workpiece [Y] to be processed on the bending brake plates.
3) Place the clamping plate [C] on the workpiece [Y] to locate the latter [Y] between the retaining plate [D] and the clamping plate [C].
4) Lock the clamping plate [C] using hand screws [X] (not included).
5) Pull the lever [A] up until the workpiece is bent into shape.
6) Lower the lever [A].
7) Remove the hand screws [X] and the clamping plate [C] from the bending brake. Remove the workpiece.
3.3. Cleaning and maintenance
- Keep the levers and adjusting parts clean and free of residual lubricants.

All rotating parts and contact faces shall be kept clean, free of corrosion, and periodically represerved with a thin film of suitable oil type.
• Use non-corrosive agents only for cleaning the surfaces. -
After each cleaning, dry all components well before the machine is used again.
- Store the machine in a dry and cool place, protected from moisture and direct sunlight.
- If the machine is removed from service for a long time, preserve it with grease for the duration of storage. Remove excess of the grease before restoring the machine to service to ensure safe operation.
