Frequently Asked Questions - PondoRell 5000 UVC Pontec

How to clean the pump housing?
Disconnect the device, unscrew the ball joint or multi-stage nozzle, loosen the clips and remove the upper housing. Remove the filter elements, clean the housings with clear water using a brush, then rinse the filter elements under running water without chemicals.
How to replace the UVC lamp?
Disassemble the UVC pre-clarifier, remove the water housing, unscrew the screw and union nut, remove the quartz glass, replace the UVC lamp (9 W TC-S), reassemble the glass and seal, then close the housing. Use only a lamp of the same power.
What to do if the water flow is insufficient?
Check that the flow regulator is not too open, clean the nozzle and intake openings, reduce the hose length, clean the filter elements and the rotor unit.
Why does the UVC lamp not light up?
The lamp may have overheated (the temperature controller will switch it back on after cooling) or be defective: replace it. Also check that it is properly inserted into the socket.
How to store the pump in winter?
Put the device out of service before frost (temperature <4 °C). Drain residual water, clean it and store it dry and frost-free.
Can a speed controller be used with this pump?
No, the device contains sensitive electrical components. Do not connect to a power supply with a speed controller as this may cause damage.
What is the maximum installation depth underwater?
The device can be installed up to 2 meters below the water level.
The device stops after a few minutes: what to do?
Check the water temperature: it must not exceed +35 °C. If the temperature is too high, the device stops automatically.
Can the pump be used in a natural swimming pool?
No, this product is designed only for garden ponds, not for natural swimming pools.
How to adjust the water jet height?
Use the regulating valve on the telescopic tube and the one on the ball joint. Turn them gradually until the desired water jet is achieved.
