Safety and protective equipment

1. Place the rubber sleeve (2) over the support bar.
3. Place the rubber sleeve (3) over the shaft.
4. Fasten the lower brace (2) and the center piece (4)
using the four Allen screws (1).
5. Place the grip rod (5) into the grip holder and fasten
with the upper brace (6) and the four Allen screws (7).
Mounting the guard (Fig.5)
1. Place the metal plate (1) under the guard (2).
2. Fasten to the support bar (3) with 4 screws (1).
The cutter integrated into the guard automatically shortens
the cutting string to the optimal length.
Mounting the string head (Fig. 4, 6)
1. Remove the cotter pin (Fig.4-8)andange(Fig.4-5).
2. Insert an Allen key (Fig.6-1) into the hole in the drive
plate (Fig.6-2) and screw the string head onto the
guide pin of the drive shaft.
(Caution: left-hand thread!)
3. Lock the drive plate (Fig.6.2) with the Allen key in or-
der to mount the string head.
Mounting the cutting blade (Fig. 4, 5)
1. Remove the smaller half shield from the guard
2. Remove the cotter pin (Fig.4-8)andange(Fig.4-5).
3. Place the cutting blade on the drive plate in such
a way that the hole in the cutting blade is exactly
aligned with the guide circle of the drive plate.
4. Pushtheange(Fig.4-5) onto the cutting blade so
thattheatsidefacesthecuttingblade.
5. Secure the clamping nut on the guide pin. To do this,
insert the Allen key (Fig.4-3) into the hole provided
and tighten. (Caution: left-hand thread!)
6. Secure the nut with the cotter pin.
Adjusting the shoulder strap
1. Push the shoulder strap over your left shoulder.
2. Hook the locking hooks into the eyelet.
3. Check the length of the shoulder strap by making a

Preparing a fuel mixture
Only use fuel in a ratio of 25:1.
1. Pour petrol and a branded 2-stroke oil into a suitable
container in accordance with the table.
2. Mix both parts thoroughly.

5. Pull out the starter cord with a quick movement until

Carburettor adjustment
The carburettor is optimally adjusted at the factory.
Spark plug gap = 0.635 mm [0.025"].
1. Tighten the spark plug with a torque of 12-15 Nm.
2. Push the spark plug connector onto the spark plug.
Sharpening the string cutter blade
1. Remove the cutting blade from the guard.
2. Clamp the cutting blade in a vice and sharpen it with

Adjusting the Bowden cables
The Bowden cables of your strimmer are factory-adjusted.
Ifthepositionofthe“bikegrip”handleischangedsigni-
cantly, this can cause the Bowden cable to stretch, result-
ing in malfunctioning of the throttle.
If the cutting head does not come to a standstill after the
strimmer has been started and the half throttle lock has
been released, the Bowden cable must be adjusted by
means of the adjusting screw (Fig.10-1).
Correct functioning of the throttle is then assured once
