The operating manual is part of the product and contain important information for safe, proper and economical operation. Please also observe the applicable national regulations. Read all operating and safety instructions carefully before use and only use the product as described. Keep the manual and pass it on when you give the product to someone else.
2 Proper use
The product is designed to collect drilling dust and small particles produced during drilling, hammer drilling and chiselling with a compatible hammer drill. The dust extraction device is an integral part of the rotary hammer BC-DH300-X and may only be operated in conjunction with this tool.
All warnings and safety instructions can be found in the operating instructions. It is intended exclusively for use on mineral building materials (e.g. concrete, masonry, plaster, natural stone), as typically encountered when using a hammer drill. The product must not be used for drilling in wood, metal or plastic.
The product may only be used in the intended manner. Any use beyond this is improper. The user, not the manufacturer, is responsible for damages or injuries of any type resulting from this.
An element of the intended use is also the observance of the safety instructions, as well as the assembly instructions and operating information in the operating manual.
Persons who operate and maintain the product must be familiar with the manual and must be informed about potential dangers.
The liability of the manufacturer and resulting damages are excluded in the event of modifications of the product.
The product may only be operated with original parts and original accessories from the manufacturer.
The safety, operating and maintenance specifications of the manufacturer, as well as the dimensions specified in the technical data, must be observed.
Please note that our products were not designed with the intention of use for commercial or industrial purposes. We assume no guarantee if the product is used in commercial or industrial applications, or for equivalent work.

WARNING
The product and the packaging material are not children's toys!
Do not let children play with plastic bags, films or small parts! There is a danger of choking or suffocating!
- Open the packaging and carefully remove the product.
- Remove the packaging material, as well as the packaging and transport safety devices (if present).
- Check whether the scope of delivery is complete.
- Check the product and accessory parts for transport damage. Immediately report any damage to the transport company that delivered the Product. Later claims will not be recognised.
- If possible, keep the packaging until the expiry of the warranty period.
- Familiarise yourself with the product by means of the operating manual before using for the first time.
- With accessories as well as wearing parts and replacement parts use only original parts. Spare parts can be obtained from your specialist dealer.
- When ordering please provide our article number as well as type and year of manufacture for the product.

7 Safety instructions for extraction devices
Keep all safety information and instructions for future reference!

WARNING
Read all safety instructions, instructions, illustrations and technical data provided with this product.
Also observe and follow the safety instructions for the power tool used with this product.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
a) Comply with applicable national and international regulations.
b) Wear hearing protection.
Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
c) Caution: fire hazard!
Do not process metallic materials with the extraction device attached.
Hot metal chips can ignite the filter or parts of the dust container.
d) Risk of injury!
Disconnect the product from its power source before performing any maintenance or cleaning work.
8 Before commissioning
8.1 Inserting/removing the extraction device (Fig. 3)
Insert
- Insert the extraction device with the guide (3b) into the guide groove (3c) of the compatible power tool.
- Push the extraction device backwards as far as it will go.
- The extraction device audibly locks into place.
Remove
- Press the release button (3a) on the extraction device and pull the housing (3) out of the guide groove (3c) on the power tool.
8.2 Inserting/removing the suction head (1c) (Fig. 4)
Insert
- Slide the suction head (1c) into the holder from the left.
- The latching lug (1e) audibly locks into place.
Remove
- Press the latching lug (1e) with a pointed object.
- Slide the suction head (1c) to the left out of the holder.
8.3 Inserting/removing the tool attachment (Fig. 5)

CAUTION
Keep your hands away from the tool attachment when the product is in operation.
Note:
Clean the shaft of the tool attachment and grease it lightly.
The dust cap of the power tool largely prevents drilling dust from entering the tool receiver during operation. Be careful not to damage the dust cap when inserting the tool attachment.
ATTENTION
A damaged dust cap must be replaced immediately. It is recommended to have this done by a service centre.
Insert tool attachment
- Guide the tool attachment through the brush ring (1d) of the suction head (1c).
- Insert the tool attachment into the tool receiver by turning it.
- The tool attachment latches audibly into the tool receiver.
- Check that the tool attachment is firmly seated by pulling on it. The tool attachment has some radial play due to the system.
Removing the tool attachment
- Pull the locking sleeve backwards and remove the tool attachment.
8.4 Adjust the depth stop (1) to the tool attachment (Fig. 6)
- Press the lock button (1a) for the drill length adjustment.
- Move the depth stop (1) so that the tip of the tool attachment is flush with the wall support surface of the suction head (1c).
- Release the lock button (1a).
9 Operation
9.1 Adjusting the drilling depth (Fig. 7)
- Press the lock button (1b) for the drilling depth adjustment.
- Move the lock button (1b) so that its distance from the housing (3) corresponds to the desired drilling depth.
- Release the lock button (1b).
9.2 Emptying the dust container (2) (Fig. 8)

WARNING
- Dusts can be hazardous to health. Wear a dust protection mask.
Empty the dust container (2) regularly and in good time. Thanks to its transparent design, the fill level can be seen at all times.
- Press both release buttons (2a) simultaneously and pull the dust container (2) downwards out of the housing (3).
- Remove the folded filter (2b) from the dust container (2).
- Empty the dust container (2) either upside down into a suitable collection container or open the rubber cover on the underside.
- Knock the entire contents into the collection container.
- Replace the folded filter (2b) correctly in the dust container (2).
- Insert the dust container (2) into the housing (3).
Note:
For thorough cleaning, also remove and clean the folded filter as described in 11.1.1.
9.3 Switching the product on/off (Fig. 9)
Switching on
- To switch on the product, press the on/off switch on the connected power tool.
- The extraction device is supplied with power via the contacts (3d) and starts automatically.
Switching off
- To switch off, release the on/off switch of the power tool.
- The extraction device continues to run for approx. 3 seconds.
10 Working instructions
ATTENTION
Do not use without a filter!
If the extraction device is used without a filter, larger drilling dust particles may be thrown towards the user and the product may be damaged.
- Only use undamaged folded filters (2b). Replace a damaged folded filter (2b) immediately as described in 11.2.1.
- Hold the power tool by its handles during operation, not by the extraction device.
• Make sure that you have secure footing and always maintain your balance.
11 Cleaning and maintenance

WARNING
Danger of injury!
Disconnect the product from its power source before performing any maintenance or cleaning work.
11.1 Cleaning
- Do not use any cleaning products or solvents; they could attack the plastic parts of the product. Make sure that no water can penetrate the product interior.
- Do not use chemical, alkaline, abrasive or other aggressive cleaning agents or disinfectants to clean the product, as these may damage the surfaces.
- Use clean cloths to clean the product.
- We recommend that you clean the product directly after every use.
11.1.1 Cleaning the folded filter (2b) (Fig. 10)
- Clean the filter regularly and after each intensive use to maintain suction power.
- Empty the dust container (2) as described in 9.2.
- Remove the folded filter (2b) from the dust container (2).
- Tap the folded filter (2b) over a suitable collection container.
- Clean the product with a dry cloth or brush.
- Do not use water or metallic objects.
- Do not use harsh cleaners or petrol to clean the filter.
- Replace the cleaned folded filter (2b) correctly in the dust container (2).
- Insert the dust container (2) into the housing (3).
11.2 Maintenance
The folded filter (2b) should be checked before each use and replaced if worn.
11.2.1 Replacing the folded filter (2b) (Fig. 10)
Note:
Replace a damaged folded filter (2b) immediately!
- Empty the dust container (2) as described in 9.2.
- Remove the folded filter (2b) from the dust container (2).
- Replace the new folded filter (2b) correctly in the dust container (2).
- Insert the dust container (2) into the housing (3).
11.2.2 Changing the suction head (1c) (Fig. 4)
If the wall contact surface or the brush ring (1d) show clear signs of wear and effective suction is no longer possible, the suction head (1c) must be replaced.
- Replace the suction head (1c) as described in 8.2.
12 Storage and transport
• Empty the product completely.
- Clean and check the product for damage.
12.1 Storage
Store the product and its accessories in a dark, dry and frost-free place that is inaccessible to children.
The optimum storage temperature is between 5°C and 30°C.
Store the product in its original packaging.
Cover the product to protect it from dust or moisture.
Store the operating manual with the product.
12.2 Transport
- Allow the product to cool.
- Protect the product from impacts, shocks and severe vibrations, e.g. during vehicular transport.
- Secure the product to prevent it slipping and toppling.
- Never carry the power tool by the extraction device.
13 Repair and ordering spare parts
ATTENTION
According to the German Product Liability Act, no liability is accepted for damage caused by improper repairs or by not using original spare parts.
Such work should be performed by a customer service centre or an authorised specialists. The same applies to accessory parts.

13.1 Service information
With this product, it is necessary to note that the following parts are subject to natural or usage-related wear, or that the following parts are required as consumables.

14 Disposal and recycling

The packaging materials are recyclable. Please dispose of packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.
Notes on the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment

Waste electrical and electronic equipment does not belong in household waste, but must be collected and disposed of separately!
• Used batteries that are not installed permanently in the old device must be removed non-destructively before disposal! Their disposal is regulated by the battery act.
- Owners or users of electrical and electronic devices are legally obliged to return them after use.
- The end user is responsible for deleting their personal data from the old device being disposed of!
- The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin means that waste electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with household waste.
- Waste electrical and electronic equipment can be handed in free of charge at the following places:
– Public disposal or collection points (e.g. municipal works yards)
- Points of sale of electrical devices (stationary and online), provided that dealers are obliged to take them back or offer to do so voluntarily.
- Up to three waste electrical devices per type of device, with an edge length of no more than 25 centimetres, can be returned free of charge to the manufacturer without prior purchase of a new device from the manufacturer or taken to another authorised collection point in your vicinity.
– Further supplementary take-back conditions of the manufacturers and distributors can be obtained from the respective customer service.
- If the manufacturer delivers a new electrical appliance to a private household, the manufacturer can arrange for the free collection of the old electrical appliance upon request from the end user. Please contact the manufacturer's customer service for this.
• These statements only apply to devices installed and sold in the countries of the European Union and which are subject to the European Directive 2012/19/EU. In countries outside the European Union, different regulations may apply to the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
Notes on lithium-ion batteries

Remove the battery before disposing of the device!
- Do not dispose of batteries in household waste, in a fire (risk of explosion) or in water. Damaged batteries can harm the environment and your health if toxic vapours or liquids escape.
- Defective or used batteries must be recycled in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/1542.
- Hand in the battery and the battery charger at a recycling centre. The plastic and metal parts used can be separated by type and thus recycled.
- Dispose of batteries when discharged. We recommend covering the poles with an adhesive strip to protect against a short circuit. Do not open the battery.
- Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations. Return batteries to a used battery collection point where they can be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. Ask your local waste disposal company about this.
