1 Use for intended purpose, guarantee

The Profi Pack C400 is exclusively designed for the manufacture of packaging cushions made from cardboard.

The warranty period for the machine is 2 years. This guarantee does not cover wear, damage caused by incorrect handling, natural wear and intervention by third parties.

2 Safety instructions

Before initial start-up of the machine, read the operating instructions and keep them in a safe plate for use at a later date. Please observe all of the safety instructions attached to the Profi-Pack.

Risk of injury!

Never reach into the slot of the feed opening.

Risk of injury during intake!

Do not go near the feed opening with long hair, loose clothing, ties, scarves, necklaces, bracelets etc. Do not process any material that may have a tendency to form loops, such as tapes, lacing or soft plastic film.

Danger to children and other persons!

This equipment is not suitable for use in locations where children are likely to be present.

Switch the ProfiPack off if it is damaged or not working correctly and before relocating or cleaning it, and disconnect it from the mains.

Service work may only be carried out by HSM Customer Service or by the service technicians of our contractual partners.

• Make sure that the mains plug is well accessible.
• Before you insert the mains plug, make sure that the voltage and frequency of your power supply comply with the information on the name plate.
• Make sure that no liquids get into the Profi Pack.
• The machine must not be placed near a radiator or other heat source.
• The ventilation slots must be unobstructed, and there must be a distance of at least 5 cm between the shredder and the walls and furniture.

3 Transportation and installation

Use the recessed grips at the sides to transport the shredder.

Connect the power cable to the machine. The machine must be connected to a power source which meets the specifications on the nameplate. Make sure that the power cable is unobstructed and that nobody can tread on it. Plug the connecting plug of the machine into a properly installed socket.

6 Operation

Switching the system on

- Move the power switch at the right-hand side to position "I".

- The "Ready for operation" indicator lights up.

The machine is ready to operate.

Press the "Forward button".

The cutting unit starts up.

Feed in cardboard

HSM® ProfiPack C400 415 mm

• Cardboard widths of up to 415 mm can be processed.
• Wider cardboard is automatically trimmed.
• The cutting unit is switched off using the stop button.

Switch off

Move the power switch on the right-hand side to position "0".

Normal operation

Flap up

Secure setting with wing nut on left (finger-tight).

Padding

Flap in lower position

Secure setting with wing nut on left (fi nger-tight).

- Insert at least 2–3 pieces of cardboard one after the other, only then will the padded cardboard come out on the compression plate.

Removing material residue

Remove material residue when changing from "Padding cardboard" to "Perforating cardboard".

- Switch off the machine.

7 Troubleshooting

Blockage

Press the "Reverse button" to remove material in the event of problems.

The cutting unit reverses for approx. 3 sec and pushes the cardboard back.

Note

If a large quantity of cardboard has already been pulled in before the blockage occurred, you can also press the forward button. This makes the cutting unit run forwards and shreds the remaining cardboard.

During this function, the “Ready for operation” and “Blockage” indicators flash alternately.

For all other malfunctions, check whether the motor was overloaded before contacting our customer service. Let the machine cool down for approx. 15 – 20 mins. before re-starting.

8 Cleaning

Switch off the machine and disconnect the power plug. When cleaning, only use a soft cloth and a mild soap-water solution. However, no water must enter the equipment.

9 Disposal / Recycling

Electrical and electronic old devices contain a variety of valuable materials, but also hazardous substances which were required for function and safety. Incorrect disposal or handling can be dangerous to your health and the environment. Never dispose of old devices in the household waste. Observe the current applicable regulations and use the collection points for returning and recycling electric and electronic devices. Dispose of all the packaging materials also in an environmentally-responsible way.

Ojačavanje

Zaklopac u položaju dolje

Za postavljanje položaja rukom čvrsto pritegnite pomoću leptiraste matice s lijeve strane.

- Uvedite minimalno 2-3 kartonaže jednu za drugom, tek nakon toga na limu za sabijanje izlazi ojačana kartonaža.

Uklonite ostatke materijala kad mijenjate s načina rada s „Ojačavanje kartonaže” na „Perforiranje kartonaže”.
