WARNING Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR CHARGER
- Before charging, read the instructions.
- Do not use chargers for works other than those for which they are designed. Do not charge the batteries of other manufactures or ill-suited models.
- Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries, as they can overheat and break.
- Do not charge a leaking battery.
- Do not operate the charger in rain or wet conditions. This may increase the risk of electric shock. Once got wet in the rain during operation, the charger and the battery should be dried before storing or charging. Remove the battery and reinsert it if the charger fails to turn on. Keep battery connection free of dirt and debris, and clean with a soft and dry brush or cloth.
- Do not open the unit and keep it out of the reach of children.
- Ensure that the connection between the charger and your equipment is correctly positioned.
- Do not short out the contacts of battery or charger.
- Keep charger's slots free of foreign objects and protect
against dirt and humidity. Store in a dry and frost-free place.
- When charging your equipment, ensure that the charger is in a well-ventilated area and away from inflammable materials. Ensure that your equipment and charger are not left unsupervised during charging.
- Longer life and better performance can be obtained if your equipment is charged when the air temperature is between 18 °C and 25 °C. Do not charge your equipment in air temperatures below -5 °C, or above 45 °C.
12.Do not expose the appliance or battery to excessive temperatures.
13.Disconnect from your equipment when not charging or the charging is over. - Charge only battery pack of the same model provided by Kress and of models recommended by Kress.
BATTERY SAFETY SAFETY WARNINGS FOR BATTERY PACK
a) Do not dismantle, open or shred cells or battery pack.
b) Do not short-circuit a
battery pack. Do not store battery packs haphazardly in a box or drawer where they may short-circuit each other or be short-circuited by conductive materials.
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
c) Do not expose battery pack to heat or fire. Avoid storage in direct sunlight.
d) Do not subject battery pack to mechanical shock.
e) In the event of battery leaking, do not allow the liquid to come into contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.
f) Keep battery pack clean and dry.
g) Wipe the battery pack terminals with a clean dry cloth if they become dirty.
h) Battery pack needs to be charged before
use. Always refer to this instruction and use the correct charging procedure.
i) Do not maintain battery pack on charge when not in use.
j) After extended periods of storage, it may be necessary to charge and discharge the battery pack several times to obtain maximum performance.
k) Recharge only with the charger specified by Kress. Do not use any charger other than that specifically provided for use with the equipment.
I) Do not use any battery pack which is not designed for use with the equipment.
m) Keep battery pack out of the reach of children.
n)Retain the original product literature for future reference.
o) Remove the battery from the equipment when not in use.
p) Dispose of properly.
q) Do not mix cells of different manufacture, capacity, size or type within a device.
r) Keep the battery away from microwaves and high pressure.
s) Warning! Do not use non-rechargeable batteries.
USER MANUAL REQUIREMENTS FOR WIRELESS PRODUCT
a) Operation of this device is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and
(2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
b) Caution: Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
c) NOTE: This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television
reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

CHARGING PROCEDURE

NOTE: Before using the charger, read the instruction book carefully.

WARNING: The battery packs are specifically designed to work together so do not attempt
to use any other devices. Never insert or allow metallic objects into your charger or battery pack connections because an electrical failure and hazard will occur.
CHARGING
Insert the CyberCapsule battery firstly.
Method 1:
Insert the Kress 60V battery and then press the on/off switch, the charging will start. (See Fig. A1)
Method 2:
Press the on/off switch, the power indicator light stays green and the CyberLite charger enters standby mode. Insert the Kress 60V battery and then the charging will start. (See Fig. A2)

STANDBY MODE
1) After removing Kress 60V battery, the charging process will be terminated, and the CyberLite charger will enter standby mode. During standby mode, the power indicator light remains steadily on, while the charge indicator light is not illuminated. (See Fig. B)
NOTE: If the Kress 60V battery is inserted within 5 minutes, the standby mode is deactivated and the charging will start. If not, the CyberLite charger automatically turns off.
2) When the Kress 60V battery is fully charged, the CyberLite charger will enter standby mode. If there is no further action, the CyberLite charger will automatically turn off 4 hours later.

Method 1:
Press and hold the on/off switch for 2 seconds, the CyberLite charger will power off.
Method 2:
Press the battery pack release button and remove the CyberCapsule battery, the CyberLite charger will turn off automatically. (See Fig. C)

C 1 2CHARGING INDICATOR
This charger is a "smart charger" that is designed to provide you information on the status of your battery charge. Indicator lights in the table below will show the charging status.
If you receive a defective charge indicator light (red on), insert a new battery to determine if the charger is OK. If the new battery charges correctly, then the original battery is defective and should be returned to an authorized Kress Dealer. If the new battery displays the same problem as the original battery, have the charger tested at an authorized service center.
NOTE: The charge indicator light only indicates the status of the Kress 60V battery and not that of the CyberCapsule battery.

BATTERY TEMPERATURE PROTECTION
This charger has a battery temperature protection feature. When the charger detects a battery pack that is too hot (the light will flash red), its internal fan will rapidly cool the battery to the correct temperature. When the charger detects a battery pack that is too cold (the light will flash red), it automatically activates the protection circuit, and suspends charging until the battery pack has reached the correct temperature. The charging process will then automatically begin (the light will flash green). This feature ensures maximum battery life.
IMPORTANT CHARGING NOTES:
- When charging, it is normal that the charger and battery pack may become warm to touch.
- If the battery pack does not charge properly:
a. Check if the CyberCapsule battery or the charger are damaged
b. Move the charger and battery pack to a location where the surrounding air temperature is approximately 18^ C \~ 25^ C ( 65^ F \~ 77^ F).
c. If the charging problem persists, take the tool, battery pack and charger to an authorized service center.
d. Under certain conditions, when the charger has a CyberCapsule fitted, the exposed charging contacts inside the charger can be shorted by foreign material. Foreign materials of a conductive nature such as metallic particles should be kept away from charger cavities. Always remove the CyberCapsule and batteries before attempting to clean.
PROBLEM SOLUTION
1.I CANNOT FIT THE BATTERY INTO THE CHARGER. WHY?
a) Check if the charger and the battery pack are specifically designed for working together.
b) The battery can be inserted into the charger only in one direction. Turn the battery around until it can be inserted into the slot, the charge indicator light should be green and flash when the battery is charging.
2. REASONS FOR DIFFERENT CHARGING TIMES
The charging time can be affected by many reasons which are not defects in your product.
a) If the battery pack is only partly discharged it may be re-charged in less than rated charging time.
b) If the battery pack and ambient temperature are very cold / hot, it may take longer to re-charge. Please find an appropriate environment with proper air temperature to start charging.
c) Batteries of higher Amp Hour rating require more charging time.
MAINTENANCE
- Use a rain cover to cover the CyberLite charger in rainy days.
CAUTION: Do not operate or store the CyberLite charger in rain or wet condition to avoid electrodes corrosion and shortening the life. Charge the CyberPack batteries and Kress 60 V batteries after the electrodes are completely dry in case they are wet. Replace the electrodes if obvious verdigris appears.
- Remove both the Kress 60V battery and the CyberCapsule battery before carrying out any adjustment, servicing or maintenance.
If there is dust in the drain (a), rinse it with clean water. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Always locate your battery, charger and power tool in a dry
place. (See Fig. D)
