How to reset the counter to zero?

Press the delete button (6) or operate the stop lever (7) to reset the mechanical counter to zero.

How to measure a distance between two walls?

Place the rear of the wheel against the first wall, roll to the second wall, then read the measured distance and add the wheel diameter (159 mm) to get the exact distance.

What is the accuracy of the device?

The RollPilot S6 offers an accuracy of ± 0.1% for measurements up to 9,999.9 m.

How to maintain the RollPilot S6?

Clean all components with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleaning agents, scouring products, or solvents. Store the device in a dry and clean place.

How to calibrate the device?

It is recommended to calibrate the instrument once a year. Contact your distributor or the UMAREX-LASERLINER after-sales service for calibration.

Can I measure curves with this device?

Yes, the mechanical wheel distance meter is designed for use on straight or curved lines. Make sure the wheel follows the path without slipping.

How to fold the device for transport?

Operate the stop lever (3) to fold the guide rod. The device folds and fits easily into the provided carrying case.

What to do if the wheel slips during measurement?

Ensure the surface is clean and the wheel grips well. Avoid overly smooth surfaces. Keep the guide rod at a constant angle, preferably vertical, to ensure accuracy.

What are the dimensions of the folded device?

Completely read through the operating instructions, the „Warranty and Additional Information“ booklet as well as the latest information under the internet link at the end of these instructions. Follow the instructions they contain. This document must be kept in a safe place and passed on together with the device.

Function / application

The mechanical distance measuring wheel is designed for use on straight lines and curves. The mechanical measuring wheel delivers accurate measured values when measuring distances of up to 9.999,9 m. The moving pointer shows the exact start and end positions. The folding design and transport case make the measuring wheel easy to carry.

General safety instructions

• The device must only be used in accordance with its intended purpose and within the scope of the specifications.
• The measuring tools and accessories are not toys. Keep out of reach of children.
• The structure of the device must not be modified in any way.
• Do not expose the device to mechanical stress, extreme temperatures or significant vibration.
• Take care not to pinch your fingers when folding the device into transport position.
  – Avoid moisture and sand, clean thoroughly after use.
• Please ensure compliance with the safety regulations set out by local and national authorities with regard to the correct and proper use of the device.

Information on maintenance and care

Clean all components with a damp cloth and do not use cleaning agents, scouring agents and solvents. Store the device in a clean and dry place.

Calibration

The measuring device must be calibrated and tested on a regular basis to ensure it is accurate and working properly. We recommend carrying out calibration once a year. Contact your distributor or the UMAREX-LASERLINER service department.

To achieve accurate measurement results, the guide bar must be held at the same angle during the entire measurement. A vertical position is recommended.

4 To measure from wall to spot

1. Position the device with the rear of the measuring wheel against the wall.
2. Move the measuring wheel straight to the marked spot.
3. Read off the measured value and add the radius of the wheel.
