This machine is designed to mix liquid and powdery materials such as paint, mortar, adhesive, plaster and similar substances evenly and homogeneously. De- pending on the material consistency and mixing quan- tity, the appropriate stirrer with the appropriate mixing e󰀨ect should be used. The product may only be used in the intended manner. Any use beyond this is improper. The user/operator, not the manufacturer, is responsible for damages or injuries of any type resulting from this. 2. Electrical safety

a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Nev- er modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodied plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock. b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of elec- tric shock if your body is earthed or grounded. c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet con- ditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock. d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords in- crease the risk of electric shock. e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock. f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. 5. General safety information

General power tool safety warnings m WARNING! Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustra- tions and specications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, re and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future ref- erence. The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operat- ed (cordless) power tool.

a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. b) Do not operate power tools in explosive at- mospheres, such as in the presence of am- mable liquids, gases or dust. Loss of control can cause personal injury. b) Ensure su󰀩cient ventilation when mixing ammable materials to avoid a hazardous at- mosphere. Developing vapour may be inhaled or be ignited by the sparks the power tool produces. c) Do not mix food. Power tools and their accesso- ries are not designed for processing food. d) Keep the cord away from the working area. The cord may be entangled by the stirrer. e) Ensure that the mixing container is placed in a rm and secure position. A container that is not properly secured may move unexpectedly. f) Ensure that no liquid splashes against the housing of the power tool. Liquid that has pene- trated the power tool can cause damage and lead to electric shock. g) Follow the instructions and warnings for the material to be mixed. Material to be mixed may be harmful. e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations. f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair and clothing away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts. g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, en- sure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards. h) Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety principles. A careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a sec- ond.

4. Power tool use and care

a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed. b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and o󰀨. Any power tool that can- not be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired. c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or remove the battery pack, if detachable, from the power tool before making any adjust- ments, changing accessories, or storing pow- er tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally. d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of chil- dren and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users. e) Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may a󰀨ect the power tool’s operation. If dam- aged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools. f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Speed control (g. 1) The speed of the device can be set in stages with the speed controller (9). The type of material being mixed will determine what speed is required. The best way to learn the optimum speed is through practice. 2-speed gearbox (g. 1) The device is equipped with an 2-speed gearbox. If the gear switch cannot be locked, turn the stirrer slightly.

10. Maintenance and care

Before any maintenance and cleaning work:

  • Switching o󰀨 the device
  • Wait for the device to stop
  • Pull out the mains plug Only use original parts. Other parts can lead to unpre- dictable damage and injuries. Repair work beyond this may only be carried out by the manufacturer or customer service. Store the device out of the reach of children.
  • If possible, keep the packaging until the expiry of the warranty period.
  • Familiarise yourself with the product by means of the operating manual before using for the rst time.
  • With accessories as well as wearing parts and replacement parts use only original parts. Spare parts can be obtained from your specialist dealer.
  • When ordering please provide our article number as well as type and year of manufacture for the product. m WARNING! The product and the packaging material are not children‘s toys! Do not let children play with plastic bags, lms or small parts! There is a danger of choking or su󰀨ocating!

8. Assembling (g. 2 - 4)

m Attention! Always make sure the product is fully assembled before commissioning!

1) Turn the mixing rod (1) clockwise into the mixing

element (2). (Fig. 2)

2) Then screw the assembled mixing rod into the

drive shaft (3). (Fig. 3) DANGER! Only use a mixing rod that is suitable and de- signed for the material to be mixed. An incorrect mixing rod can damage the device due to over- loading and cause accidents! To remove, turn the mixing rod counterclockwise out of the drive shaft. The rod can be very tight in this mount. In this case, the holder must be secured against turn- ing with a key. (Fig. 4)

Switch on and o󰀨 Switching on (g. 1) Press and hold the on/o󰀨 switch fuse (8); now you can press the on/o󰀨 switch (7) to start the hand mixer.   • The product can cause temporary voltage uctua- tions in unfavourable mains conditions.
  • The product is only intended for use at connection points that a) do not exceed a maximum permissible mains im- pedance “Z” (Zmax. = 0.25 Ω), or b) have a mains constant current carrying capacity of at least 100 A per phase.
  • As the user, you are required to ensure that the con- nection point at which you wish to operate the prod- uct fulls one of the requirements mentioned, a) or b).   • Pressure points, where connection cables are passed through windows or doors.

  • Insulation damage due to being ripped out of the wall outlet.
  • Cracks due to the insulation ageing. Such damaged electrical connection cables must not be used and are life-threatening due to the insulation damage. Check the electrical connection cables for damage regularly. Ensure that the connection cables are dis- connected from electrical power when checking for damage. Electrical connection cables must comply with the ap- plicable VDE and DIN provisions. Only use connection cables with designation H05VV-F.   • Extension cables up to 25 m long must have a cross-section of 1.5 square millimetres. Connections and repair work on the electrical equip- ment may only be carried out by electricians.   • Remove dust and dirt with a cloth or a soft brush
  • Do not clean the machine with running water or high-pressure cleaners.

  • The mixer is equipped with carbon brushes. If they are worn, have the carbon brushes replaced by cus- tomer service. For your own safety, check the mixer regularly for dam- age. Replace a damaged mixer immediately. Check the stirrer regularly. A stirrer with a defective stirrer shaft must no longer be used. Have the device serviced if necessary. 11. Electrical connection

The electrical motor installed is connected and ready for operation. The connection complies with the applicable VDE and DIN provisions. The customer‘s mains connection as well as the ex- tension cable used must also comply with these regulations.

13. Disposal and recycling

Notes for packaging The packaging materials are recy- clable. Please dispose of packag- ing in an environmentally friendly manner.
