Where can I find the troubleshooting section for the MOULINEX EZ855D fryer?
Frequently Asked Questions - 06/13/2026
Response Notice-Facile

Here is the complete troubleshooting section for your MOULINEX EZ855D fryer:

Device does not turn on (no noise or light)

  • Check the wall outlet and power cord
  • Ensure that the voltage corresponds to 220-240 V ~ 50/60 Hz
  • Insert the cooking drawer firmly until it clicks (mandatory safety system)
  • Press and hold the Start/Pause button for at least 2 seconds
  • If the device has been unplugged, wait 5-10 minutes before turning it back on (thermal protection)

Drawer is not working

  • Check that the drawer is fully inserted until it clicks
  • Empty the device (overloading blocks the mechanism)
  • Clean the grooves of the drawer and the body of the device
  • Check the correct positioning of the removable grid
  • If the problem persists, contact MOULINEX service

Error code E3

This code indicates overheating or a blockage of the temperature sensor. Proceed as follows:

  • Turn off and unplug the device immediately
  • Let it cool down for at least 30 minutes
  • Check the ventilation around the device (minimum 15 cm of space)
  • Empty any accumulated food residues
  • If the error reappears, contact MOULINEX support

Why doesn't my MOULINEX EZ855D fryer turn on (no noise, no light)?
Frequently Asked Questions - 06/13/2026
Response Notice-Facile

Here are the checks to perform:

  • Check the power supply: Make sure the wall outlet is working. Test it with another device (lamp, charger). Check that the voltage matches the 220-240 V ~ 50/60 Hz indicated on the device.
  • Check the power cord: Inspect the cord for any visible cuts or damage. Try another outlet.
  • Insert the drawer correctly: The EZ855D fryer has a safety system: it only operates if the cooking drawer is properly inserted all the way into the device. Remove and then reinsert the drawer firmly until you hear a click.
  • Check the start button: Hold the Start/Pause button for at least 2 seconds. The device should then emit a sound signal and the display should light up.
  • Wait after unplugging: If the device has been used recently, wait 5-10 minutes before trying again. A thermal protection system may temporarily keep it locked.
  • Check the drawer safety: Clean the grooves of the drawer and those of the device body to remove any dust or debris that would prevent proper contact.

If after these checks the device remains inert (still no noise or light), it is likely that there is an internal electrical fault requiring repair or replacement.

My MOULINEX EZ855D fryer drawer is not working anymore, what should I do?
Frequently Asked Questions - 06/13/2026
Response Notice-Facile

If your cooking drawer is not working on your MOULINEX EZ855D fryer, here are the points to check:

Checks to make:

  • Is the drawer properly inserted? Make sure that the cooking drawer (removable basket) is fully pushed into the device until it clicks. Incorrect positioning prevents the device from functioning.
  • Is the drawer overfilled? The manual specifies never to exceed the maximum quantities. Overloading can block the mechanism. Limit the amount of food so that air can circulate freely.
  • Is there residue or dirt? Clean the drawer and its grooves with warm water and soap (using a non-abrasive sponge). Residues can prevent proper insertion.
  • Is the removable grid properly placed? Check that the grid integrated into the drawer is correctly positioned and does not protrude.
  • Does the drawer adjustment change after each use? Over time, the guides may loosen slightly. This may require more precise insertion.

If after these checks the drawer remains stuck or the device still does not start, and if the drawer does not show any visible cracks, the problem may be internal (defective safety sensor or damaged interlock mechanism). In this case, contact MOULINEX customer service with the reference EZ855D and your proof of purchase.

What does error code E3 mean on my Moulinex EZ855D fryer?
Frequently Asked Questions - 05/24/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The error code E3 on your Moulinex EZ855D fryer indicates overheating or a blockage of the temperature sensor. The device has automatically shut down for safety to prevent damage.

Troubleshooting procedure:

  • Immediately turn off and unplug the fryer from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 30 minutes before restarting it, to allow it to cool down completely.
  • Ensure that the fryer has a minimum of 15 cm of free space around it for proper air circulation (top, sides, back). Do not place it in a corner or under an element.
  • Open the removable cooking drawer and thoroughly clean any food residues and accumulated grease, especially around the removable grid.
  • Check that the removable grid is properly inserted and does not block the passage of hot air.
  • Reconnect the device and test a cooking cycle without food.

Important: If the E3 code reappears regularly after these checks, the temperature sensor may be faulty. Contact Moulinex support directly for professional diagnosis or sensor replacement. Do not use the device while the error persists.

PREPARING FOR USE

  1. Place the appliance on a flat, stable, heat-resistant work surface away from water splashes.
  2. Do not fill the basket with oil or any other liquid.

Do not put anything on top of the appliance. This disrupts the airflow and affects the hot air frying result.

  2. Carefully pull the basket with its removable grid out of the appliance.

  • Warning: If there is a lot of food, the basket can get heavy. When shaking, use both hands and oven mitt to avoid burning.
  • When you hear the timer sound, the cooking time set has finished. Pull the basket out of the appliance and place it on a heat-resistant surface.
  • Check if the food is ready.

If the food is not ready yet, simply slide the basket back into the appliance and set the timer for a few extra minutes.

  1. When the food is cooked, use a pair of non-metallic tongs (e.g., silicone tongs) to lift the food out of the basket. Excess oil from the food is collected in the bottom of the basket.
  2. Caution: Never turn the basket upside-down, as the removable grid and hot oil could fall out.
  3. After cooking, the basket, the grid, and the food are very hot. Handle with caution. Use both hands and oven mitt if the basket is too heavy.

Tips: in order to improve the cooking result, do not hesitate to shake 2-3 times when cooking.

IMPORTANT: To avoid damaging your appliance, never exceed the maximum quantities of ingredients and liquids indicated in the instruction manual and in the recipes.

When you use mixtures that rise (such as with cake, quiche or muffins) the oven dish should not be filled more than halfway.

TIPS

  • Smaller foods usually require a slightly shorter cooking time than larger size foods.
  • Shaking smaller size foods halfway through the cooking time improves the end result and can help prevent uneven cooking.
  • To make your potatoes extra crispy, try adding a small amount of oil before cooking and shake to evenly cover. We recommend 14ml of oil (1 tablespoon).
  • Snacks that can be cooked in an oven can also be cooked in the appliance.
  • The optimal recommended quantity for cooking fries is 1500 grams.
  • Use ready-made puff and short crust pastry to make filled snacks quickly and easily.
  • Place an oven dish in the appliance's basket if you want to bake a cake or quiche or if you want to fry delicate ingredients or filled ingredients. You can use an oven dish in silicon, stainless steel, aluminum, or terracotta.
  • You can also use the appliance to reheat food. To reheat food, set the temperature to 160°C for up to 10 minutes. Cooking time could be adjusted depending on food quantity in order to fully reheat the food.

CLEANING

Clean the appliance after every use.

The basket and the grid have a non-stick coating. Do not use metal kitchen utensils or abrasive cleaning materials to clean them, as this may damage the non-stick coating.

  1. Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
  2. Clean the basket and grid with hot water, some washing-up liquid and a non-abrasive sponge. You can use a degreasing liquid to remove any remaining dirt.

Note: The basket and the removable grid are dishwasher-safe.

Tip: If food debris/residue is stuck at the bottom of the basket and the grid, fill them with hot water and some washing-up liquid. Let the basket and the grid soak for approximately 10 minutes. Then rinse clean and dry.

  1. Wipe inside of the appliance with hot water and a damp cloth.
  2. Clean the heating element with a dry, cleaning brush to remove any food residues.
  3. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
