How to turn the ADM 30 smart laser distance meter on and off?
To turn on the device, press the ON button. To turn it off, press the C/OFF button. The device also turns off automatically after a period of inactivity.
How to charge the battery of the Flex ADM 30 smart?
Connect the provided USB cable to the USB charging port on the device, then plug the other end into a standard USB charger. The Li-Polymer 180 mAh battery fully recharges in a few hours. It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use.
What is the maximum measuring range?
The measuring range is 0.03 to 30 meters. However, under unfavorable conditions (strong sunlight, reflective surfaces), the range may be reduced. The use of an optional laser targeting target is recommended to improve accuracy.
How to check the accuracy of my distance meter?
It is recommended to check the accuracy regularly. The steps are described from page 140 of the manual. If the accuracy is out of tolerance, entrust the device to an after-sales service workshop approved by the manufacturer.
What to do if the device does not turn on?
First check that the battery is charged. Plug in the USB charger and wait a few minutes. If the device still does not turn on, contact an approved after-sales service.
Can I use the device on a ladder?
Yes, but ensure you adopt a stable posture and keep your balance. Avoid abnormal positions and secure your ladder. The distance meter is lightweight (0.38 kg) and easy to handle.
How to clean the lens and the device?
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior. Do not touch the receiver lens with your fingers. Never use liquids or abrasive products.
Is the device water resistant?
No, the ADM 30 smart distance meter is not waterproof. Never immerse it in water or any other liquid. Store it in a dry place.
How to change the unit of measurement?

Intended use

This measuring instrument is designed for commercial use in industrial and trade applications. The laser distance-measuring device is designed for measuring lengths, heights and gaps as well as determining surface areas.

Laser distance-measuring device

  • Do not point the laser beam at people or animals and do not stare into the laser beam. This measuring tool generates a laser beam, which can dazzle others.
  • Have the measuring instrument repaired by qualified technicians and with original spare parts only. This ensures that the safety of the measuring instrument is maintained.
  • Do not let children use the measuring instrument unsupervised. They could accidentally blind people.
  • Do not use the measuring instrument in a potentially explosive environment which contains flammable liquids, gases or dust. The measuring instrument may generate sparks which will ignite the dust or the vapours.
    – If devices other than the operating and adjusting devices specified here are used or if different procedures are implemented, this may result in a hazardous exposure to radiation.

    – Before switching on the device, check for visible damage. Do not switch on damaged devices.

Checking precision

It is recommended to check the device regularly to ensure that it is always precise.

If the precision deviates from the permitted tolerance range, the device must be taken to a customer service workshop authorised by the manufacturer.

Have the device adjusted by authorised technicians only.

The steps required to check the precision are explained at the end of these instructions on the illustrated pages. See from page 140.

Maintenance and care

Observe the following instructions:

  • Handle the measuring instrument with care and protect it from impacts, vibrations and extreme temperatures.
  • Do not touch the receiver lens with your fingers.
    – Clean the lens with a soft, dry cloth only.
  • Never submerse the measuring instrument in water or other liquids.

  • Keep the measuring instrument in a dry place.

  • Have the measuring instrument repaired by qualified technicians and with original spare parts only. This ensures that the safety of the measuring instrument is maintained.
