How to turn the hood on and off?

To turn the hood on, slide the fan speed selector to the desired speed. To turn it off, set the selector to 0. The lighting is controlled independently with the light switch.

How to clean the grease filter?

Remove the filter by pressing the clip lever and tilting it downwards. Wash it in the dishwasher at low temperature on a short cycle or by hand with a non-abrasive detergent. Wipe dry and reinstall.

When to replace the charcoal filter?

The charcoal filter must be replaced every 4 to 6 months, or more frequently with heavy use. It is not washable and cannot be regenerated.

The light does not work, what to do?

First check the power supply. If the hood works but the light does not, the bulb is likely burned out. Replace it with a 4 W bulb, socket E14, 220-240 V. Disconnect the appliance before proceeding.

The hood does not extract well, why?

Check that the fan speed is appropriate (increase if necessary). Clean the grease filter (at least monthly) and replace the charcoal filter if saturated. Ensure the air outlet is not blocked.

How to replace the hood light bulb?

Disconnect the appliance. Use a non-sharp plastic tool to remove the light diffuser by inserting into the notches. Replace the bulb with a new one (4W, E14, 220-240V). Put the diffuser back in place.

Is it possible to use the hood in recirculation mode?

Yes, if installation does not allow external evacuation, you can use a charcoal filter (not supplied) to recirculate the air. Follow the installation instructions for mounting the filter.

2.2 Electrical Connection

To replace the filter with activated carbon:

1. Remove the grease filters from the device. See "Removing the grease filters" in this chapter. 2. Turn the filter counterclockwise (1) and pull it down (2).

To install the filters, insert the tabs in the opposite direction.

In any case, it is necessary to replace the filters at least every four months.

6.4 Replacing the lamp

2.2 Electrical connection

4.1 Control panel overview

5. DAILY USE

5.1 Using the hood

Check the recommended speed according to the table below.

While heating up food, cooking with covered pots.

While cooking with covered pots on multiple cooking zones or burners, gentle frying.

While boiling and frying big quantities of food without a lid, cooking on multiple cooking zones or burners.

It is recommended to leave the hood operating for approximately 15 minutes after cooking.

To operate the hood:

Move the fan speed switch to one of the speed levels.

The hood starts to operate. If needed, change the speed by moving the switch.

The hood's light works independently of other hood functions. To illuminate the cooking surface, use the light switch.

To turn off the appliance, move the fan speed switch to the 0 position.

6. CARE AND CLEANING

6.1 Notes on cleaning

Cleaning Agents

Do not use abrasive detergents and brushes.

Clean the surface of the appliance with a soft cloth with warm water and a mild detergent.

After cooking some parts of appliance can get hot. To avoid stains appliance must be cooled down and dried with clean cloth or paper towels.

Clean stains with a mild detergent.

Keep the hood clean

Clean the appliance and grease filters each month. Clean the interior and grease filters carefully from fat. Fat accumulation or other residue may cause fire.

Grease filters can be washed in a dishwasher.

The dishwasher must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle. The grease filter may discolour, it has no influence on the performance of the appliance.

Charcoal filter

The time of saturation of the charcoal filter varies depending on the type of cooking and the regularity of cleaning the grease filter. The activated charcoal filter is not washable, cannot be regenerated and must be replaced approximately every 4/6 months of operation, or more frequently for particularly heavy usage.

6.2 Cleaning the grease filter

Filters are mounted with the use of clips and pins on the opposite side.

To clean the filter:

1. Press the handle of the mounting clip on the filter panel underneath the hood.

1. Slightly tilt the front of the filter downwards, then pull. Repeat the first two steps for all filters.
2. Clean the filters using a sponge with non-abrasive detergents or in a dishwasher.

The dishwasher must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle. The grease filter may discolor, but this has no influence on the performance of the appliance.

1. To mount the filters back, follow the first two steps in reverse order.

Repeat the steps for all filters if applicable.

6.3 Replacing the charcoal filter

WARNING!

The charcoal filter is NON-washable! The filter cannot be regenerated!

To replace the charcoal filter:

1. Remove the grease filters from the appliance. Refer to "Cleaning the grease filter" in this chapter.
2. Turn the filter counterclockwise (1) and then pull (2).

To mount the filters back, follow the steps in reverse order.

In any case, it is necessary to replace the filters at least every four months.

6.4 Replacing the lamp

WARNING!

Risk of burns and electric shock! Disconnect the appliance from the electricity before the operation! Make sure that the light bulb has cooled down before touching it.

1. The lamp cover has two slots on each side (1). Use a flat non-sharp plastic tool. Gently remove the lamp cover from the appliance (2).
2. Replace the lamp.
3. Mount the lamp cover.

7.1 What to do if...

5. DAILY USE

5.1 Using the hood

Check the recommended speed according to the table below.

5.1 Using the vacuum cleaner

2.2 Connecting to the mains

The aspirator light operates independently of its other functions. For lighting the cooking surface, use the light switch.

To turn off the appliance, turn the fan speed switch to position 0.

6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

6.1 Warnings regarding cleaning

Cleaning agents

Do not use abrasive cleaners or brushes.

Clean the surface with a damp cloth, mild detergent, or a soft cleaner.

After cooking, the appliance may be hot. To avoid splashes of fat, the appliance must be cooled and dried with a clean cloth or paper towel.

Clean the flue with a damp cloth.

Regularly clean the grease filter.

Clean the appliance and the grease filter every month. Important: clean the inside and the grease filter from grease. Residual grease or other residues may cause a fire.

Grease filters can be washed in a dishwasher. The dishwasher must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle. The grease filter may discolor, but this does not affect the performance of the appliance.

IMMEDIATELY

The saturation time of the charcoal filter varies depending on the cooking time and the regularity of cleaning the grease filter. Filters with active carbon cannot be regenerated; they must be replaced at least every 4/6 months or more often in case of intensive use.

6.2 Replacing the grease filter

The installation must comply with the standards set by local authorities. - Make sure that the room where the appliance is installed is sufficiently ventilated and that there is no backflow of gases from appliances that run on gas or other fuels, as well as from open flames. - Make sure that the ventilation outlet is not blocked, and that when the appliance is installed, it does not obstruct the duct used for the removal of smoke and steam from other appliances (central heating systems, thermosiphons, water heaters, etc.). If the appliance operates with other appliances, the maximum vacuum created in the room must not exceed 0.04 mbar. - If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its authorized service center, or similarly qualified persons to avoid electric shock. - If the cable is damaged, it should be replaced with a special cable that can be obtained from the manufacturer or its authorized service center. - If the appliance is connected directly to the electrical grid, the electrical installation must be equipped with a disconnection device that allows disconnecting the appliance from the grid on all poles. The disconnection must comply with the conditions specified in category III overvoltage. The disconnection devices must be installed in the fixed electrical wiring according to the electrical installation rules. It is forbidden to carry out installation work on the appliance. Do not use unsafe or explosive materials or vapors.

• Regularly clean the appliance with a damp cloth to prevent damage to the surface material.
• For cleaning the glass surface of the appliance, do not use steam cleaners, water sprayers, harsh abrasives, or metal sponges, as this may lead to cracks in the glass. Use only neutral cleaning agents.
• Regularly clean the grease filters (at least every 2 months) and replace the charcoal filters from the appliance to prevent the risk of fire.
• Use a cloth to clean the inside of the appliance.

2.1 Installation

WARNING

There is a risk of injury from moving parts, electric shock, fire, burns, or damage to the device.

• The device must be installed by qualified personnel.
• Do not install or use a damaged device. Follow the installation instructions supplied with the device. Be careful when moving the device, as it is heavy. Use the protective gloves and safety shoes provided in the kit.
• Before installing the device, remove all packaging, labels, and protective film. Do not install the device into a wall cavity that is not intended for this purpose.

2.2 Connection to the electrical grid

WARNING!

There is a risk of electric shock and injury from electric current.

• All work related to connecting to the electrical grid must be performed by a qualified electrician.
• Make sure that the parameters on the nameplate with technical data match the electrical parameters of the power supply from the grid.
• The device is marked with the symbol (device must be grounded. Use a properly installed protective socket. Ensure that the power cord is not pinched. Do not use extension cords, adapters, or splitters.
• Do not insert the plug into a socket that is not securely mounted. Do not pull the power cord to disconnect the device from the grid. To disconnect, grasp the plug and pull it out.
• Protective elements against electric shock and insulation must be secured so that they cannot be

removed without a special tool.

• Check the correct installation of the device. An unsecured or incorrectly routed cable can cause significant heating of the connectors. - Please install the device correctly. Make sure that after installation there is free access to the switch.
