Touching live parts can lead to electric shock and is prohibited. Do not perform any cleaning work in the vicinity of power lines or other electrical installations. Direct your special attention to the han- dling of the telescopic lance in the vicin- ity of power lines. 몇 WARNING Risk of falling! When performing cleaning work in greater heights. – Use personal protective equipment, ap- proved fastening points must be availa- ble and used. Please observe the following standards concerning safe work with protective equipment: e.g. EN 358, EN 361, EN813, EN1497 There is a tripping hazard due to the safety rope and the high-pressure hose. Always ensure that the high-pres- sure hose and the safety rope are care- fully placed down. Appropriate climbing aids (e.g. scaffold or lifting platforms) must be in place. Ensure that the admissible roof load is not exceeded during cleaning work from the roof. In case of any uncertain- ties, contact the builder. Be particularly careful with corrugated sheets made of asbestos cement or bi- tumen, light domes or glass roofs as well as old or damaged roof tiles. They may only be stepped on if there are special access or working boards. Keep handles, steps, rails, platforms, and ladders free of dirt. Do not perform cleaning work in strong winds. Danger of slipping! – Do not step on the roof in damp weather conditions. Risk of injury! – Never touch the rotating brush with your fingers. – Prior to starting cleaning work on the roof, a sufficiently large area on the ground must be cordoned off by means of barrier tape and/or "Caution roof work" signs. Persons might get injured by falling ob- jects. Keep persons out of the cleaning area while cleaning. Wear suitable protective gloves, safety goggles and safety gear during work. CAUTION Risk of breakage! – Do not step on the modules, they can get damaged by stepping on them. In case of high outside temperatures, it is recommended to preheat the water (max. 40 °C) to avoid tensions in the glass due to high temperature differ- ences. Preferably perform cleaning when the modules are not exposed to sunlight. Risk of damage! – Soiled and dry brushes can damage the module surface. Always keep bristles free of dirt or sand. Do not hit or scratch the surface with the telescopic lance or the cleaning brush. Do not push brushes over dry modules. Do not perform cleaning work in minus temperatures. Caution: Operating the cleaning brush- es directly on the trigger gun of the high-pressure cleaner leads to damage of the drive of the cleaning brushes and is thus prohibited! Information for working with a spray lance: If a standard or flexible spray lance (special accessories) can be used due to the cleaning conditions, a ball tap (special accessories) must be installed between the high-pressure hose of the high-pressure cleaner and the spray lance instead of the trigger gun, see Chapter "Special accesso- ries". Illustration Screw the cleaning brushes onto the connection of the distributor, do not tighten them yet. Mind the brushes' di- rection of rotation! Place the brushes on a flat surface for installation and tighten the brushes. Screw the distributor with the installed brushes onto the connection of the tele- scopic lance and tighten it. Illustration Screw the cleaning brush onto the con- nection of the telescopic lance and tighten it. Illustration Connect the high-pressure hose of the high-pressure cleaner to the telescopic lance. Note: Unscrew the hand spray gun from the high-pressure hose first. If a ball tap (special accessories) is in- stalled between the high-pressure hose of the high-pressure cleaner and the spray lance, you can work with the standard spray lance of the high-pres- sure cleaner or with the special acces- sory flexible spray lance. – Moisten the first row of modules using the water hose. This removes stubborn soiling and the scrubbing of the brush on a dry surface is avoided. – Cleaning from the roof ridge: Clean the modules from top (telescopic lance re- Description of the Appliance Preparation Securing the cleaning area Attaching the high-pressure hose to the telescopic lance Connecting the cleaning brushes with distributor and telescopic lance (iSolar 800 only) Connecting the cleaning brush with telescopic lance (iSolar 400 only) Connecting the high-pressure cleaner to the telescopic lance Operations Tips for cleaning 8 EN- 3 tracted) to bottom (telescopic lance ex- tended). – Cleaning from lifting platform/scaffold: Clean the modules from top (telescopic lance extended) to bottom (telescopic lance retracted). – Clean larger surfaces in sectors. – When retracting or extending the tele- scopic lance, point the stop-cock to- wards the bottom. This allows for a bet- ter feeding of the hose. – Only possible with heated high-pres- sure cleaners (HDS appliances): If required, we recommend the use of the detergent RM 99. Set the temperature to max. 40 °C. – For high-pressure cleaners with adjust- able water quantity: Work with the maximum water quantity. – Employ at least 2 people to perform the cleaning work, assistance with trailing the free hose length or to operate the high-pressure cleaner. – A safe workplace during cleaning, lifting platforms. Note: Please read and observe the safety instructions prior to use! DANGER Ensure firm footing during cleaning work. Torque due to rotating brush, hold tightly on to the telescopic lance during work, espe- cially when the telescopic lance is com- pletely or far extended. CAUTION Mind the maximum cleaning temperature of 40 °C! There is a risk of the brush drive be- ing damaged with higher temperatures. In case of blocking brushes, pay regard to the troubleshooting section. Move the telescopic lance only lengthwise during work, not sideways. Operate the high pressure cleaner as instructed in the operating instructions. Illustration Extend telescopic lance if necessary: Open the locking lever and pull the pipes out to the required length. Note: Always start by extending the front (thinner) pipes first. Close locking lever. Illustration Open stop-cock and start cleaning. Close the stop valve. Switch off the high pressure cleaner. Open the stop-cock again to release the pressure still present in the system. Completely push the telescopic lance together. Unscrew the distributor with the clean- ing brushes from the telescopic lance. Unscrew both high-pressure hoses from the telescopic lance. Illustration Coil the high-pressure hose of the tele- scopic lance and secure it on the lance (by means of cable ties or hook-and- loop tape). Store the cleaning brushes in a way that no bristles are damaged or distorted. Store the solar cleaning kit in a frost- protected and dry place. Note If a ball tap (special accessories) is in- stalled between the high-pressure hose of the high-pressure cleaner and the spray lance, you can work with the standard spray lance of the high-pressure cleaner or with the special accessory flexible spray lance. With certain appliances: Stop-cock is not completely opened. With closed stop-cock: Leakage in the system, contact service. CAUTION When brush is blocking, close the stop- cock and switch off the high-pressure cleaner. Contact service. Detergent intake only possible with heated high-pressure cleaners (HDS appliances). Clamping does not clamp. Readjust clamping, in order to do so, retighten the screw at the side of the locking lever. Note: If necessary, new locking levers can be re-ordered.
