Frequently Asked Questions - DR200BT HAMA

How to charge the battery of the Hama DR200BT radio?

Connect the provided USB-C cable to the USB-C port (15) on the back of the radio, then plug the other end into a suitable USB charger. A full charge takes about 3 hours. You can charge the radio whether it is on or off.

How to perform a factory reset?

Use a pin or similar object to press the RESET button (13) on the back for about 3 seconds. You can also navigate to the menu: System settings > System > Default settings. Note: this deletes all presets and language.

How to save a station as a preset?

In DAB or FM mode, press and hold (about 3 seconds) the PRESET button (5) to access the list of presets (1-30). Select a preset using the navigation buttons and confirm with OK (10). You can also press and hold PRESET1 or PRESET2 to save directly to presets 1 or 2.

How to switch between DAB, FM, Bluetooth and AUX modes?

Briefly press the MODE button (8) to cycle through the modes. Available modes are DAB, FM, Bluetooth and AUX.

What to do if the radio does not turn on?

Check that the battery is charged. Plug in the USB-C cable to charge. If the problem persists, perform a reset by pressing the RESET button (13) with a thin object for 3 seconds.

How to set the alarm?

Press the MENU button (6), select the alarm option in the menu. Use the navigation buttons to set the alarm time, source (DAB, FM, buzzer) and repetition. Confirm with OK (10).

How to pair a Bluetooth device?

Put the radio in Bluetooth mode by pressing MODE (8) repeatedly until 'Bluetooth' appears. On your smartphone, search for 'Hama DR200BT' in Bluetooth devices and select it. Confirmation will appear on the radio's screen.

Can I use the radio without the battery, directly on mains power?

The radio runs only on rechargeable battery. You can use it while charging, but it is not designed to operate without the battery. The USB-C charger powers the battery and allows simultaneous use.

How to improve radio reception?

Fully extend the telescopic antenna (2) and position it vertically. Move the radio away from sources of interference like electronic devices. For DAB+, reception is generally better than FM.
