1. Explanation of warning symbols and notes
Warning This symbol is used to indicate safety instructions or to draw your attention to specichazards and risks. Note This symbol is used to indicate additional information or important notes.
- The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
- Use the product only for the intended purpose.
- Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters, other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Do not use the product in areas in which electronic products arenot permitted.
- Only use the article under moderate climatic conditions.
- Do not operate the product outside the power limits specied in the technical data.
- The battery is permanently installed and cannot be removed; dispose of the product as awhole in accordance with the statutory regulations.

- Press and hold the function key (2) for approximately 3seconds to switch the loudspeaker on /off.
- An audible signal sounds and the status LED (1) starts to ash.Note -Automatic switch-off Please note that the loudspeaker will switch itself off after 8minutes of inactivity (no audio playback / no Bluetooth function). zZz
8min5. Charging Warning –rechargeable battery
- Only use suitable charging devices or USB connections to charge the product.
- Do not use defective chargers or USB ports and do not attempt to repair them.
- Do not overcharge the product or allow it to completely discharge.
- Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures and at extremely low atmospheric pressures (such as at high altitudes).
- Charge regularly (at least quarterly) during periods of prolonged storage. Note -Waterproof properties
- Carefully seal the micro-USB port after the charging process to ensurethat the product is waterproof.
- Be awarethat water can inuence the range and sound of the loudspeaker. Note
- Do not charge the product on your PC /laptop USB port. This can cause damage to the USB port.
- Use the enclosed USB charging cable only for this loudspeaker -not for other devices. Fully chargethe loudspeaker once beforeusing it for the rst time. Open the cover and connect the loudspeaker Open the seal on the micro-USB port. Connect the supplied micro-USB charging cable to the micro-USB port (5) on the loudspeaker. Connect the free plug on the micro-USB charging cable to asuitable USB charger.Todothis, consult the operating instructions for the USB charger you areusing. microUSB 1Charging processThe "Charging" status LED (8) starts to light up red.Once the battery is fully charged, the status LED (8) will go out.The actual battery life will vary depending on how you use the device, the settings and the ambienttemperatures (rechargeable batteries have alimited life).Note –charging process
- Acomplete charging cycle takes about 3hours.
- The loudspeaker's rechargeable battery can be charged both when it is switched on and off.
- If the battery capacity is less than 10%, awarning sound is heardtwice. This information is only provided if the loudspeaker is switched on. CHARGING CHARGED 3h:00m (1.0A) red off
26. Waterproof properties
The loudspeaker has been tested to ensureitiswaterproof according to IPX7 and thereforemaintains its functions even if immersed in water up to 1mdeep for up to 30 minutes. Liquids against which the device is waterproof as specied:
fresh water,tap water,water from aswimming pool, sea water

- Check whether your mobile device (MP3 player,mobile phone, etc.) is Bluetooth-capable.
- Note that the maximum range for Bluetooth is 10 metres without obstacles such as walls, people, etc.
- Ensureyour Bluetooth-enabled device is switched on and that Bluetooth is activated.
- Ensurethat the loudspeaker is within the Bluetooth range of max. 10 metres. Ensurethat the loudspeaker is switched on.Check the status of the status LED (7)If the status LED (7) is ashing quickly,the loudspeaker is searching for aconnection.If the status LED (7) is ashing slowly,the loudspeaker is already paired with aBluetooth device.Use your device to search for the loudspeaker.Open the Bluetooth settings on your device and wait until the list of found Bluetooth devices showsHama Pocket 2.0.Select Hama Pocket 2.0 and wait until the loudspeaker is shown as connected in the Bluetoothsettings of your device. An audible signal conrms the successful connection.Note –Bluetooth password
- Some terminal devices requireapasswordinorder to connect to another Bluetooth device.

- Ensureyour Bluetooth-enabled device is switched on and that Bluetooth is activated.
- Ensurethat the loudspeaker is within the Bluetooth range of max. 10 metres.
- Switch the loudspeaker on.
- After asuccessful automatic connection, the status LED (7) ashes slowly.Anaudible signal conrms the successful connection. Note -connection impaired After the loudspeaker and device have been paired, aconnection is established automatically.If the Bluetooth connection is not established automatically,check the following:
- In your device's Bluetooth settings, check that Hama Pocket 2.0 is connected. If not, repeat the steps listed under points 1and 2.
- Check that your device and the loudspeaker areless than 10 metres apart. If not, move them closer together.
Ensurethat the loudspeaker is switched off. Connection with the audio cable Connect your mobile device (MP3 player,smartphone, etc.) and the AUX input (6) on the loudspeaker using an audio cable with a3.5 mm jack plug. Set the volume on your device to alow level. Switch the loudspeaker on Switch the loudspeaker on. Asignal tone and the green status LED (7) conrm the readiness for operation. Start audio playback on the connected device. The music playback can also be controlled from the speaker (provided the connected device supports this).
AUX green8. Audio playback Start and control audio playback accordingly on the connected device. Alternatively,the audio playback can also be controlled from the loudspeaker (provided the connected device supports this).
Start playback on your device Volume Briey press the function key (4) to increase the volume. Briey press the function key (3) to reduce the volume. Play /Pause Press the function key (1) to start or stop the audio playback. Skip Make a long press of the function key (4) to skip to the next track. Make a long press of the function key (3) to skip to the previous track.9. Hands-free system It is possible to use the loudspeaker like ahands-free facility for your mobile phone. The mobile phone must be paired via Bluetooth with the loudspeaker for this function. Accept call Press the function key (1) once to accept an incoming call. Reject call Press and hold the function key (1) for approx. 2seconds to reject an incoming call. End call During the call, press the function key (1) once to end the call. Last number redial Press the function key (1) twice in succession to re-dial the last number.
- Please ensureyou arenear the loudspeaker during acallonyour mobile phone in order to increase the quality of the call.
