Frequently Asked Questions - BRS 43500 C Kärcher

How to fill the detergent tank?
Remove the detergent tank by compressing the hose coupling and unhooking the brackets. Open the lid, fill with water leaving room for detergent, then add detergent according to recommended dosage (e.g., 60 ml of RM 768 per 1 L of water). Close the lid and put the tank back in place.
How to clean the brushes after use?
Remove the rotary brushes by tilting the machine and using the brush change button. Rinse them with hot water (max. 50°C) and clean the brush tunnel. Reassemble the brushes by engaging them on the driver.
What if the appliance does not start?
Check that the power plug is connected and the main switch is set to 'I'. If the problem persists, reset the overload fuse by pressing it. Also check that the brushes are not blocked by foreign objects.
How to adjust the detergent dosage?
The dosage depends on the product used. For the recommended detergent RM 768, the dosage is 6%: for 1 L of water, add 60 ml of detergent. Follow the safety and dosage instructions on the detergent packaging.
Can I use a detergent other than those recommended?
It is strongly recommended to use only the detergents recommended by Kärcher (e.g., RM 768). Using other detergents may increase workplace safety risks, accidents, and reduce the service life of the machine. Use products free of solvents, hydrochloric acid, and hydrofluoric acid.
How to replace the rotary brushes?
Put the handle in the upright position and lock it. Tilt the machine backward and rest it on the handle. Push the brush change button outward and tilt the brush outward. Remove the old brush, slide the new one onto the driver, and engage it.
What safety precautions should be observed?
Before each use, check the condition of the power cord. Do not operate the machine with a damaged cord. Always unplug the power plug before any maintenance. Do not let the cord come into contact with the rotating brushes. Use only appropriate detergents and follow safety instructions.
How to transport the machine?
To transport the machine, tilt it backward on its wheels and push it. For transport in a vehicle, secure it against sliding and tipping. Respect the machine weight (25 kg empty). Store it in a dry place after use.
Where to find spare parts and accessories?
Use only original Kärcher accessories and spare parts. A selection of the most common parts can be found at the end of the instruction manual. For more information, visit www.kaercher.com or contact Kärcher after-sales service.
What is the maximum cleanable area per hour?
The theoretical cleaning area is 300 m²/h. This result depends on the carpet condition, detergent dosage, and cleaning technique. For optimal results, vacuum loose dirt before cleaning and apply the solution in a cross pattern.
