Carefully read all instructions before operating the appliance and save them for future reference. By carefully following these instructions you can considerably prolong the service life of your appliance. The safety measures and instructions contained in this manual do not cover all possible situations that may arise during the operation of the appliance. The manufacturer is not responsible for any fail- ures arising from the use of this product in a man- ner inconsistent with the technical or safety standards.

This appliance is a multifunctional appliance and is intended to be used for nonindustrial use in household and similar spheres of application. Industrial application or any other misuse will be regarded as violation of proper service conditions. Should this happen, manufacturer shall not be responsible for possible consequences.

Use only the type of batteries recommended by the manufacturer. Refer to the technical specica- tions or to the rating plate.

Use of the appliance for anything other than its intended purpose outlined in this user manual is a violation of operating instructions.

Do not place the unit on cushioned surface.

Do not use the appliance outdoors or in wet ar- eas, to prevent the appliance malfunction.

Follow the cleaning procedures as outlined in this user manual. DO NOT immerse the appliance in water or other liquid! Failure to do so may cause the appliance to malfunction!

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given super vision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Carefully remove the appliance and its accessories from the packaging. Dispose of all packaging materials. Keep all warning labels, including the serial number identication label located on the housing. After transportation or storage at low temperatures allow the appliance to stay at room temperature for at least 2 hours before using. Before the use ensure that the battery is installed correctly with regard to polarity. Close the battery compartment cap. CAUTION! Batteries, included in set, are intended only for checking the appliance op- erational capability. For extended operation of the appliance it is recommended to purchase a new set. Installing the battery ensure that your hands and the unit are dry.

The Ready for Sky technology The Ready for Sky technology enables to use the software app of the same name to control the appliance remotely from a smartphone or tablet.

1. Download the software from the App Store or Google Play (depending on your

operating system) onto your smartphone or tablet. For the minimum supported OS version, see the company's ofcial website www.redmond. company or the application description at the App Store and Google Play.

Open the Ready for Sky app, create an account, and follow the prompts that appear on the screen.

3. Enable the Bluetooth function on the mobile device.

4. Switch on the scales by pressing the button.

5. Open and update the list of appliances available for connection with the mobile

6. Select the connected appliance from the list of available devices.

To provide stable connection the mobile device should be located within no more than 15 metres from the appliance. Appliance use

1. Press the button. All indicators will be displayed, then 0 value and the meas-

urement unit indicator will be displayed.

2. The default measurement unit is grammes (g indicator). By pressing the UNIT

button you can replace the measurement unit with ounces (oz indicator). Ad- justed parameters are saved upon the subsequent weighting.

3. Fix the container onto the scales platform in which you plan to weigh a product.

Press TARE button to reset the container weight value. It is also possible to ignore the container weight by placing it to the scales platform for switching on the appliance. The weight value will be automatically reset to zero when scales are switched on.

Put the product into the container. Product mass will be displayed (excluding tare weight).

5. The scales will be automatically disabled in 5 minutes at the end of operation.

If necessary, they can also be disabled by pressing and holding the button for several seconds. If the battery capacity is exhausted the low battery message Lo will be displayed. Kitchen timer REDMOND SkyScales RS-741S-E can also be used for tracking cooking time.

Set the rst symbol value by pressing the UNIT button. Press button to conrm the value. Repeat the process for other symbols.SkyScales RS-741S-E

After setting the value until the last symbol and pressing the button the program will start to count down in 1 second increments. When 00:00 value is reached an audible signal will be heard.

5. To disable an audible signal at the end of timer operation press the button.

Disabling audible signals To disable audible signals during appliance operation press and hold down the UNIT button for several seconds. A double audible signal will be heard, after that audible indication will be disabled. To enable audible signals repress and hold the UNIT button. When disabling audible signals the notication about the end of the countdown will be enabled.

III. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Do not use abrasive or solvent-based cleaners, metal sponges, etc. Clean the platform with a soft damp cloth and wipe dry. DO NOT immerse the unit in water or wash under running water. The scale is not dishwasher safe. It is advised to remove the battery, if the scale is not being in use for a long time. Store the assembled appliance in a dry, ventilated place away from heating appliances and direct sunlight. During transportation and storage, do not expose the device to mechanical stress, that may lead to damage of the device and/or violation of the package integrity. Keep the device package away from water and other liquids.
