Use
The hood is designed to be used either for exhausting or filter version.

Extraction version
In this case, the fumes are conveyed outside the building by
means of a special pipe connected to the connection ring located on top of the hood.
CAUTION!
The exhaust pipe is not supplied and must be purchased separately.
The diameter of the exhaust pipe must be equal to that of the connection ring.
CAUTION!
If the hood is supplied with an activated charcoal filter, it must be removed.
Connect the hood and the discharge holes on the walls with a diameter equivalent to the air outlet (connection flange).
Using tubes and discharge holes on walls with smaller dimensions will cause a reduction in suction performance and a drastic increase in noise.
Any responsibility in this matter is therefore declined.
Use a duct of the minimum indispensable length. Use a duct with as few elbows as possible (maximum elbow angle: 90°). Avoid drastic changes in the duct cross-section.

Filtration version
The aspirated air will be degreased and deodorised before being fed back into the room.
In order to use the hood in this version, you have to install a system of additional filtering based on activated charcoal.
The models with no suction motor only operate in ducting mode, and must be connected to an external suction device (not supplied).
The connecting instructions are supplied with the peripheral suction unit.
Installation
The minimum distance between the supporting surface for the cooking equipment on the hob and the lowest part of the range hood must be not less than 50 cm from electric cookers and 65 cm from gas or mixed cookers.
If the instructions for installation for the gas hob specify a greater distance, this must be adhered to.
The mains power supply must correspond to the rating indicated on the plate situated inside the hood. If provided with a plug, connect the hood to a socket in compliance with current regulations and positioned in an accessible area, after installation. If it is not fitted with a plug (direct mains connection) or if the plug is not located in an accessible area, after installation, apply a double pole switch in accordance with standards which assures the complete disconnection of the mains under conditions relating to over-current category III, in accordance with installation instructions.

Use
Extractor hoods are intended for: suction and evacuation of polluted air, while simultaneously recycling it.

Extractor with suction
The hood is evacuated outdoors by means of the air duct, which must be connected to the exhaust pipe.
WARNING!
The air duct must be connected to the exhaust pipe. It must not be connected to a chimney or vent used for other purposes.
The diameter of the air duct must correspond to the diameter of the exhaust pipe.
WARNING!
If the extractor is equipped with filters with activated carbon, ask the installer to remove them.
Connect the extractor to the air duct and open the vent. The diameter of the duct must correspond to the diameter of the exhaust pipe for air evacuation.
The connection to the air duct and the vent with the correct diameter reduces the extractor's noise and increases its working time.
In these cases, the manufacturer accepts no responsibility.
Use the duct with the necessary length. Use the duct with the smallest possible number of bends (maximum number of bends: 90 degrees). Do not bend the duct sharply!

Extractor with recirculation
This appliance is intended for use in households and similar applications. For the user's safety in this variant of operation, it is necessary to install an additional air extraction system at the base for air extraction with active ventilation.
Models without an extraction motor are intended for operation only in the variant of the extraction version and must be connected to a peripheral extraction unit, which is purchased separately.
The instructions for connection are supplied with the peripheral extraction unit.
INSTALLATION
The minimum distance between the surface on which the cooking vessels are placed and the lower part of the kitchen extractor must be not less than 50 cm in the case of electric cookers and not less than 65 cm in the case of gas or combined cookers.
If the instructions for the gas cooking appliance specify a greater distance, this must be taken into account.
The voltage in the electrical network must correspond to the voltage specified on the rating plate of the extractor, located on its inner side. If the extractor is supplied with a plug for connection to the socket, the corresponding installation standards must be followed, and the socket must be accessible after installation. If it is not supplied with a plug (direct connection to the mains), or if the plug is not accessible after installation, use a double-pole switch that complies with the standards, ensuring disconnection from the mains under overvoltage category III, in accordance with installation rules.

Grease filter
Fig. 14-32
Grease filters trap grease particles during cooking.
Clean them at least once a month (or when the filter replacement indicator, if present in your model, indicates the need), using non-abrasive detergents by hand or in the dishwasher at low temperature and short cycle.
Washing in the dishwasher may cause slight discoloration of the filter, but its filtering characteristics remain unchanged.
To remove the grease filter, pull the spring handle of the filter.
Carbon filter (only in recirculation mode)
Man. 31
Replace the charcoal filter.
The charcoal filter can be washed and reused (or, if your model has a filter regeneration system, it will be indicated on the data plate) in warm water with mild detergent or in a dishwasher at 65°C (in the last rinse, perform a full cycle without dishes inside the dishwasher).
To avoid damaging the filter, remove the hood from the mounting frame and keep it in the oven for 10 minutes at 100°C to ensure complete drying.
Replace the hood every year and the cloth filters regularly.
Remove the support frame from the filter, turning the handle (g) 90° which attaches it to the hood.
Insert the new charcoal filter (i) into the frame (h) and reassemble everything into the hood (j).
It is possible to use a traditional charcoal filter, which does not need to be washed or regenerated, replacing it every 3-4 months.
The frame and the charcoal filter are welded together, so the frame, if it comes with the hood, should not be reused.
For use, insert the filter into the appropriate housing and close it, following the instructions.
Replacing the lamp
The hood is equipped with LED lighting technology.
To ensure optimal lighting, their lifespan is 10 times longer than traditional bulbs and they provide 90% energy savings.
