Vibration level
The vibration emission level stated in this instruction manual has been measured in accordance with a standardised test given in EN 60745; it may be used to compare one tool with another and as a preliminary assessment of exposure to vibration when using the tool for the applications mentioned
- using the tool for different applications, or with different or poorly maintained accessories, may significantly increase the exposure level
- the times when the tool is switched off or when it is running but not actually doing the job, may significantly reduce the exposure level
Protect yourself against the effects of vibration by maintaining the tool and its accessories, keeping your hands warm, and organizing your work patterns

Electrical safety

Always check that the voltage on the battery pack corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate. Also check that your mains voltage corresponds to the input voltage of the battery charger.

Class II machine - Double insulation - You don't need any earthed plug.
Replacing cables or plugs
Immediately throw away old cables or plugs when they have been replaced by new ones. It is dangerous to insert the plug of a loose cable in the wall outlet.
- The tool is suitable for use as a screwdriver and drill. Any other application is specifically excluded.
3. MOUNTING ACCESSORIES
Inserting and removing bits
Fig. 1
In addition to screwdriver bits with a hexagonal shaft, this tool can also accommodate drill bits with a hexagonal shaft.

Always use short screwdriver bits in combination with the magnetic bit holder. The 50 mm screwdriver bits can be used without the magnetic bit holder.
- Pull back the locking sleeve (2) and insert the magnetic bit holder or 50mm screwdriver bit.
- Release the locking sleeve.
- To remove, pull back the locking sleeve and remove the bit or magnetic bit holder.
4. OPERATION

Always follow the safety notes and the relevant safety code.
Hold the appliance firmly and press the screwdriver steadily onto the work piece. Do not overload the appliance. Only use bits with no visible wear. Worn bits will have a bad effect on the functioning of the appliance.
Adjusting the torque
Fig. 1
The appliance has 17 different torque settings with which to set the power for driving and removing screws.
- Set the torque settings ring (3) to the desired position. The available torque settings are indicated on the settings ring by the numbers 1 to 15 and by dots between the figures to define intermediate settings. And a setting for drilling indicated by the drill icon (17 in total).
- You should preferably choose a setting as low as possible when using the screwdriver. Select a higher setting if the motor slips.
Driving and removing screws
Fig. 1
- Set the direction switch (9) to position ‘→’ in order to drive screws.
- Set the direction switch (9) to position ‘←’ in order to remove screws.

Ensure that the direction switch (9) is always set to ‘→’ during drilling and the drill symbol selected on the torque settings ring.
Switching the device on and off
Fig. 1
- Depress the on/off switch (8). It regulates the speed of the appliance by transmitting power to the switch.
- Release the on/off switch (8) to halt the drill chuck immediately, it will no longer run on.
- Move the direction reversing switch (9) to the centre in order to lock the appliance in its disabled state.
The tool will turn at its slowest speed when the switch is depressed lightly. The tool will turn at its fastest speed when the trigger is fully depressed.
Only lay down the appliance when it has stopped running completely. Do not place it on a dusty surface as particles of dust could get into the mechanism.
LED work light
Fig. 2
- Press the LED work light switch (11) once to switch the LED work light on.
- Press the LED work light switch (11) again to switch the LED work light off.
Charging the battery
- Only use the battery charger in a temperature range between +5 °C to +40 °C.
- Only use the battery charger in dry, ventilated rooms.
One advantage of using Lithium-Ion batteries is that, until the battery is almost empty, hardly any power fading is noticeable. The machine can be used until you start noticing that the power of the
drill is elapsed. The battery is discharged now and needs to be charged.
In comparison to NiCd and NiMH cells, Lithium-Ion cells have no memory effect due to intermedial charging. While NiCd and NiMH batteries need to be discharged before charging, a Lithium-Ion block does not need to be completely discharged. This battery block can be charged at any time despite its current power level without losing much of its original power and endurance.
The charger is equipped with a special plug. This Lithium Ion battery pack is only to be charged with this dedicated charger. The intergrated electronics in this dedicated charger are custom made for this Lithium-Ion battery pack. Using other chargers/adapters will cause irreversible damage to the battery.
The internal battery can be charged in 2 different ways:
- Plug the adapter into the desktop holder (6). Charging will start when the adapter is plugged to the mains supply and the tool placed in the desktop holder (Fig. 3).
- Plug the adapter directly into the bottom of the foot of the tool. Charging will start when the adapter is plugged to the mains supply.
3 LED charging & battery status indication Fig. 2
When the charger is connected, these 3 LEDs indicate the charging status.
- When the battery is empty and charging begins, the red LED will blink, with the yellow and green LED off.
- When the battery is less than halfway charged, the red LED will be on and the yellow LED will be blinking.
- When the battery is more than halfway charged, both the red and yellow LED will be on and the green LED will be blinking.
- When all LEDs are lit up, charging is completed and the battery is full.
• After 10 seconds all LEDs will switch off and charging will stop.
When the charger is not connected, these 3 LEDs indicate the battery status when the battery status switch (10) is pressed.
- When the red LED lights up, the battery is empty and needs to be charged.
- When the red and yellow LED lights up, the battery is half full.
- When all LEDs light up, the battery is completely full.

When the red LED continues to blink with an interval of 2 seconds and no other LED is lit up, a battery failure occurred and charging has stopped. Disconnect the charger and contact your supplier.
5. SERVICE & MAINTENANCE

Make sure that the machine is not live when carrying out maintenance work on the motor.
These machines have been designed to operate over a long period of time with a minimum of maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper machine care and regular cleaning.
Cleaning
Keep the ventilation slots of the machine clean to prevent overheating of the engine. Regularly clean the machine housing with a soft cloth, preferably after each use. Keep the ventilation slots free from dust and dirt. If the dirt does not come off use a soft cloth moistened with soapy water. Never use solvents such as petrol, alcohol, ammonia water, etc. These solvents may damage the plastic parts.
Lubrication
The machine requires no additional lubrication.
Faults
Should a fault occur, e.g. after wear of a part, please contact the service address on the warranty card. Separate you find an exploded view showing the parts that can be ordered.
Environment
To prevent damage during transport, the appliance is delivered in a solid packaging which consists largely of reusable material. Therefore please make use of options for recycling the packaging.

Faulty and/or discarded electrical or electronic apparatus have to be collected at the appropriate recycling locations.
Warranty
The warranty conditions can be found on the separately enclosed warranty card.
The product and the user manual are subject to change. Specifications can be changed without further notice.
