Frequently Asked Questions - RC1S AENO

How to connect the RC1S vacuum cleaner to the AENO app?
Make sure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Turn on the vacuum cleaner (side switch to ON) and place it on the docking station. Open the AENO app, press '+' or 'Add device', select 'Vacuum cleaner'. Follow the instructions: press and hold the Power button on the robot until the Wi-Fi indicator flashes, then connect your smartphone to the access point 'Smart Life – XXXX' and complete the setup.
What to do if the vacuum cleaner does not charge?
First check that the docking station is plugged in and its white light is flashing. Clean the metal contacts of the station and robot with a soft dry cloth. If the problem persists, charge the vacuum cleaner directly via the power adapter without the station.
How to use wet cleaning with the water tank?
Attach the mop pad to the bottom of the water tank. Fill the water tank with distilled water to at least 2/3 full. Remove the dust bin by pressing the latch, then insert the water tank in its place. The water flow rate can be adjusted from the AENO app. When finished, empty and dry the tank.
Why does the vacuum cleaner return to the station before finishing cleaning?
It is normal if the battery drops below 20%. The vacuum cleaner automatically returns to recharge. You can restart it after charging. If this happens frequently, check that the robot is not stuck and that the sensors are clean.
How to clean the filters and dust bin?
For the dust bin: remove it from the robot, open it and discard debris. The HEPA filter and foam filter should be cleaned with a brush or dry cloth – do not wash them with water. The pre-filter mesh can be washed with water. The side brushes can be washed with warm water or a damp cloth.
Is it dangerous to look at the UV lamps on the back of the vacuum cleaner?
Yes, the UV lamps are very dangerous for the eyes. Never turn over the vacuum cleaner while it is running and do not look directly at the bulbs. The UVs are designed to disinfect the floor, but they can damage eyesight.
The remote control does not work, what to do?
Replace the batteries (2 × AAA). Make sure the distance between the remote and the vacuum cleaner is no more than 5 meters and that the robot power switch is in the ON position. Also check that the robot is not charging: when on the station, it may ignore remote control commands.
How to schedule cleaning at a fixed time?
Use the remote control: press the 'Schedule' button to enter the mode, set the time using the left/right and up/down arrows, then confirm. You can also schedule via the AENO app. To cancel, press and hold the 'Schedule' button.
The vacuum cleaner does not detect some obstacles or avoids areas, why?
Infrared sensors are sensitive to direct sunlight and very dark surfaces that are perceived as obstacles. Avoid dark carpets, close curtains in sunny weather, and clean the sensors with a soft cloth.
What to do if the station light flashes red?
A fast red flash indicates that the dust bag is not inserted correctly: remove it and reinsert it pushing the handle well. A slow red flash means the suction hose or station opening is blocked: check and clear the obstruction.
