  • in covered outdoor areas (e.g. covered terraces)

14 DO NOT touch the device with wet hands. 15 DO NOT operate heaters with a damaged mains cable or plug, or after the device has malfunc- tioned, been dropped or damaged. Take the heat- er to an approved service centre for inspection and repair. 16 DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust electrical or mechanical functions as this may invalidate the warranty. 17 DO NOT insert or allow anything to touch the heater and never place anything on the protec- tive device (e.g. towels) as this could damage the heater and result in electric shock or re. Never use your heater to dry laundry. 18 If the heating element is no longer glowing, it may still be carrying power, please check that the heat setting indicates that the heater is switched o󰀨. Always disconnect your device from the mains before carrying out cleaning work on it or replac- ing tubes. 19 Do not use the heater in places where petrol, var- nish or other ammable materials are stored. 20 Always disconnect the heater from the mains when it is not in use. To disconnect the power supply, grasp the plug and pull it out of the socket. Never pull on the cable. 21 Never point the heater at curtains, drapes, furni- ture or other ammable objects and make sure that a minimum distance is maintained from near- by objects. 22 Never use this heater in conjunction with a tim- er circuit or any other xture that allows it to be switched on unattended. 23 Do not pull on the power cable or the device itself to disconnect it from the socket. Pull directly on the plug. 24 Do not allow children or incompetent persons to use the device unsupervised. 25 The power cable must be completely unwound before use. 26 If the device will not be used for a long period of time, disconnect it from the power supply. 27 Do not use the heater in the immediate vicinity of bathtubs, showers, washbasins or swimming pools. 28 This device is not intended for use by persons (in- cluding children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given super- vision or instruction concerning use of the device by a person responsible for their safety.

2 ATTENTION – SOME PARTS OF THE HEAT-

ER WILL BE VERY HOT, DO NOT TOUCH THE HEATER WHEN IT IS IN OPERATION. 3 Do not t or place the device directly under a power socket. 4 The protective grid of this heater is intended to prevent direct contact with heating elements and must be in place when the heater is in operation. The protective grid does not provide complete protection for small children or inrm persons. 5 To avoid overheating, do not cover the heater. 6 This heater is not equipped with a device for con- trolling the room temperature. 7 Do not use this heater in small rooms if there are people in the room who are not able to leave the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided. 8 Children under 3 years of age must not approach the product unless they are under constant su- pervision. Children between the ages of 3 and 8 may only switch the device on or o󰀨 if it has been installed and positioned in accordance with the usual instructions for use and they have been su- pervised and adequately instructed in its correct and safe use and have understood the possible dangers. Children between 3 and 8 years of age must not connect, adjust, clean or perform main- tenance operations on the product. ATTENTION: Some parts of the device can become very hot and cause burns. Take special care in the presence of children or vulnerable persons. 9 This device can be used by children aged from eight to 8 years and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and / or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning using the device in a safe manner and understand the hazards involved. Children may not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision. 10 Remove the product from the packaging and make sure that it is in proper condition. 11 DO NOT ALLOW children to play with the pack- aging, for example plastic bags. 12 Before connecting to the mains socket, check that the voltage and frequency of your device match the values of your mains current. 13 This heater gets hot when it is in operation. m ATTENTION The device and the packaging are not children‘s toys! Do not let children play with plastic bags, lms or small parts! There is a danger of choking or su󰀨ocating!

  • Before connecting the machine, make certain that the data on the type plate matches with the mains power data.
  • Check the device for transport damage. Immediate- ly report any damage to the transport company that delivered the device.
  • Long supply cables (extension cable) should be avoided.
  • Do not operate the device in damp or wet areas.

m Attention! Always make sure the device is fully assembled before commissioning! Before connecting the machine to the mains power, make certain that the data on the type plate matches with the mains power data. m Warning! Always pull out the mains plug before carrying out ad- justments on the device. Installing the rollers and feet (Fig. 2)

1. Fix the rollers (11) with 4 screws M4x10 (6) on the

underside of the base plate (5).

2. Slide the foot sleeves (12) over the feet (13) and

screw them into the base plate (5) Installing the brackets (Fig. 3)

1. Fix the brackets (3) to the base plate (5) with the

hexagonal bolts M6x50 (9).

2. Slide the cover base plate (4) over the two brackets (3).

Installation of the radiator (Fig. 4)

1. Place the radiator (1) on the two brackets (3) and

secure it with 2 screws M4x10 (6).

2. Guide the connection cable through the opening in

the base plate (5). Installation of the fascia boards (Fig. 5/6)

1. Slide the cover base plate (4) upwards and push

6. Before commissioning

  • Open the packaging and carefully remove the de- vice.
  • Remove the packaging material, as well as the pack- aging and transport safety devices (if present).
  • Check whether the scope of delivery is complete.
  • Check the device and accessory parts for transport damage.
  • If possible, keep the packaging until the expiry of the warranty period.www.scheppach.com

Digital display: Display of the heating stage of the running heating element. Always shows the heating stage of the upper element when it is in operation. 1 Connect the mains plug and it will sound a control tone. The heater is in “Standby” mode, the On / O󰀨 symbol (A) lights up green. 2 Press the “A” button on the remote control or on the control panel. The light turns red and the heater changes into operation. The heating tube and LED light are preset to stage 3. (The heater has a memory function and runs in the last se- lected setting). 3 Press the “B” or “C” button and the correspond- ing heating tube or light and the digital display ash up for 5 seconds; press the same button to adjust the heater or light while the power setting is shown on the display “D”. After 5 seconds, the ashing stops and the setting is completed. 4 Switch o󰀨 the heating tube and the light by press- ing the “A” button. The heater now changes into “Standby” mode. m Warning! Always disconnect the heater from the mains when it is not in use. Folding out the heating boom (Fig 9, 10, 11) The heating boom works in a vertical or horizontal po- sition. Open the heating boom according to the following in- structions and close it in reverse order. 1 Unlock the heating boom (B) by pressing the two releases (A) inwards at the same time. 2 Fold the heating boom (B) upwards and hook the securing bracket (C) into the recess (D). Electrical connection:

8. Setup and operation

m Attention! Remove the transport retainers before using the de- vice (Fig. 7) Setting up

  • The minimum distances (at top: 60 cm, at the side: 150 cm) must always be observed, regardless of whether the heating boom is in a horizontal or ver- tical position. The distance must be measured from the surrounding objects to the nearest point of the heater.
  • Always keep ammable material away from the heater.
  • Do not twist or kink the power cable.
  • This heater has IP34 class protection and is suitable for outdoor use. If you need an extension cable, the cable and plug system must be waterproof.
  • Never operate the on/o󰀨 switch with wet hands. m Attention! The heater has an anti-tilt protection. If the heater tilts or falls over, it switches o󰀨 automatically. 12. Disposal and recycling

The device is supplied in packaging to avoid transport damages. This packaging is raw material and can thus be used again or can be reintegrated into the raw material cycle. The device and its accessories are made of di󰀨erent materials, such as metals and plas- tics. Take defective components to special waste disposal sites. Check with your spe- cialist dealer or municipal administration! The packaging is wholly composed of environ- mentally-friendly materials that can be disposed of at a local recycling centre. Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out electrical devices. Old devices must not be disposed of with house- hold waste! 10. Cleaning and maintenance
