Concerning certain groups of persons

These appliances can be used by children of 8 years and persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental abilities, or insufficient experience or knowledge, providing they are supervised or have been instructed

in the proper use of the appliance and understand the risks involved.
Children must not perform cleaning or user maintenance tasks without supervision. Children must not play with the appliance.

Children under the age of 8 years old should be kept away from the appliance, the mains adapter and the mains adapter cord whilst they are switched on, plugged in at the socket or are cooling down.

INFORMATION ON THE POWER SUPPLY

The appliance is charged with electrical current.

Thus there is always risk of electrical shock.

You must therefore observe the following:

Never touch the rechargeable battery or mains adapter with wet hands. Never immerse the appliance, the rechargeable battery or the mains adapter in water or other liquids.
Always take hold of the mains adapter when you wish to disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket. Never pull on the mains adapter's cord.
Ensure that the mains adapter cord is not bent, pinched, rolled over and that it does not come into contact with heat sources.

Only use the mains adapter included in the scope of supply to charge the rechargeable battery.
Always check the mains adapter cord possible damage before using the appliance. Do not use a mains adapter with a damaged cord or plug. Only ever connect the mains adapter to sockets which carry the voltage indicated on the mains adapter.
Before cleaning or performing maintenance on the appliance, ensure that the appliance is switched off and that the mains adapter is not connected.

Information on the brush roller

The brush roller in the floor nozzle rotates at high speed. This poses various hazards to people, animals and objects:

Never vacuum clean people, animals or high temperatures.

Information on the rechargeable battery

Never short-circuit the rechargeable battery, i.e. never touch both poles simultaneously, especially with electrically conductive objects.
Never take the rechargeable battery apart, never deform it and never expose it to

high temperatures.

Improper handling can cause liquid to leak from the rechargeable battery. Avoid any contact with such liquid.
If you have come into contact with liquid, rinse it off with copious amounts of water

and consult a doctor.

If the appliance is faulty

If the appliance, the mains adapter or the mains adapter cord are damaged, they will need to be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's customer service department or a similarly qualified person in order to prevent hazards.

Information on proper use

This appliance must only be used for domestic use. It is not suitable for industrial or commercial use. Only use the appliance for cleaning lightly soiled, dry hard floors, carpets or upholstered furniture. Any other use is considered improper use and is prohibited.

Preparatory work

Getting to know the appliance

Unpacking and assembling

1 Check that the unpackaged contents are complete. If you notice any transport damage or if anything is missing, contact your dealer immediately. 2 Turn the handle (Fig. 1 / 1 ) vertically over the upper installation opening on the appliance body (Fig. 2). In the process, make sure that the cable does not become trapped between the handle and the appliance body.

NOTE:

If you wish to remove the handle again, push the handle release catch (Fig. 1/8) with a stable, pointed object, and pull the handle from the appliancebody.

3 Insert the handle into the upper installation opening on the appliance body so that you feel and hear it click into place (Fig. 3). Connect the appliance body to the floor nozzle so that you hear and feel the floor nozzle release catch click into place (Fig. 4).

NOTE:

If you wish to remove the floor nozzle again at a later time, push in the floor nozzle release catch (Fig. 1/11), thus releasing it. Then pull the appliance body and the floor nozzle apart (Fig. 6).

NOTE:

To set the assembled appliance down, set it down on the floor nozzle and tilt the appliance body forwards so that the stop catch on the floor nozzle clicks into place (Fig. 5). Connect the appliance to the wall mount (Fig. 7) when you wish to charge or store it.

5 Push the rechargeable battery compartment release catch and remove the rechargeable battery compartment cover (Fig. 8). Insert the rechargeable battery into the rechargeable battery compartment so that the contact surfaces are facing downwards (Fig. 9). Now push the rechargeable battery into the rechargeable battery compartment so that it audiably clicks into place (Fig. 10). Re-insert the rechargeable battery compartment cover and close it so that it audiably clicks into place (Fig. 11).

Charging the rechargeable battery

WARNING!

Risk of fire or explosion! Only use the mains adapter included in the scope of supply to charge the rechargeable battery.

1 Connect the mains adapter cable to the charging socket on the appliance (Fig. 12). 2 Connect the mains adapter to a socket (Fig. 13). The LED lights up constantly in red to indicate the charging process (Fig. 14). 3 After a maximum of 4 hours, the LED switches to green. The rechargeable battery is then charged. 4 Disconnect the mains adapter from the socket (to save electricity) and disconnect the mains adapter cable from the appliance.

Installing the wall mount

1 Connect the handle of the appliance to the wall mount. 2 Place the appliance against the wall, together with the wall mount, so that the floor nozzle rests flat on the floor (Fig. 7). 3 Mark the positions for the drilled holes with a pencil.
4 Drill the holes. Remove the wall mount from the handle and screw it to the wall with suitable fastening accessories. Insert the hole covers.

Switching the appliance on/off

NOTE:

When the LED flashes red, the rechargeable battery charge is low and the appliance will switch off within 20 seconds. Fully charge the rechargeable battery to use the appliance again > "Charging the rechargeable battery" on page 17.

CAUTION!

Make sure that the surface can withstand the rotating brush without becoming damaged.

To switch on the appliance, push the OFF/MIN/MAX switch one position down (Fig. 15/1). The appliance vacuums at low suction power and the brush on the floor nozzle rotates. The LED lights up green.
For full suction power, push the OFF/MIN/MAX switch one position further down (Fig. 15/II).
To switch off the appliance, push the OFF/MIN/ MAX switch all the way up (Fig. 15/O). The appliance switches off. The LED goes out.

Vacuuming floors

1 Unfasten the stop catch on the floor nozzle by placing your foot on the floor nozzle and tilting the appliance backwards with the handle. 2 Switch on the appliance with the desired suction power > "Switching the appliance on/off" on page 17. 3 Vacuum-clean the floor.

NOTE:

If the brush roller (Fig. 1 /⑦, Fig. 26) becomes blocked as a result of soiling, the appliance switches off and the LED (Fig. 1 /③) flashes red. To be able to use the appliance again, push the OFF/MIN/MAX all the way up (Fig. 15/O) and clean the brush roller > "Removing and cleaning the brush roller" on page 18.

Maintaining the appliance

Removing the rechargeable battery

1 Push the rechargeable battery compartment release catch (Fig. 1/10) and remove the rechargeable battery compartment cover (Fig. 1/9). Remove the rechargeable battery from the appliance.

Emptying the dust bin

1 Press the dust bin release catch (Fig. 16) and remove the dust bin from the appliance (Fig. 17). 2 Remove the separator with the filter from the dust bin (Fig. 18). 3 Dispose of the contents of the dust bin in a waste bin. Gently tap out the dust bin to remove any soiling.

Cleaning the separator and filter

NOTE:

The appliance and the filter should be cleaned regularly in order to maintain the suction power.

1 Remove the dust bin from the appliance and the separator with the filter from the dust bin > "Emptying the dust bin" on page 18.2 Turn the filter cover anti-clockwise to release the catch (Fig. 19/A) and remove the filter cover (Fig. 20/1) from the separator (Fig. 20/3).3 Pull on the tab to remove the pre-motor filter from the separator (Fig. 20/2).4 Tap out the separator over a waste bin. Use a dry cloth to remove any remaining dust and dirt.5 Remove the second pre-motor filter from the appliance body (Fig. 21).6 Rinse out the pre-motor filters under running water (max. 40^ ). Leave the pre-motor filters to dry for at least 24 hours.7 Reinsert one pre-motor filter into appliance body (Fig. 21) and the other pre-motor filter into separator with tab facing up.

8 Place the filter cover on the separator and turn it

clockwise to lock it in place (Fig. 19/B). Re-insert the separator with the pre-motor filter into the dust bin (Fig. 22). Re-insert the dust bin into the appliance and push it into the appliance so that you hear and feel it click into place (Fig. 23).

Removing and cleaning the brush roller

1 Switch off the appliance and set it down so that the brush roller is easily accessible and the appliance rests safely in place. 2 Turn the roll catch anti-clockwise using a small coin (Fig. 24) and remove the locking cover (Fig. 25). 3 Raise the brush roller at the side of the roll catch and remove it from the floor nozzle (Fig. 26). 4 Remove any dirt and hairs from the floor nozzle and from the brush roller. If necessary, you can carefully use a pair of scissors as an aid. 5 Insert the brush roller into the floor nozzle with the round end first (Fig. 27). 6 Fit the locking cover and turn the roll catch clockwise.
