IMPORTANT: the temperature is preset by factory for optimal performance. In normal operating conditions it is not recommendable to adjust it. Furthermore

improper parameter setting may shorten the service life of this machine or even damage it! The shrinking temperature will vary depending on the type, thickness, and quality of the film – generally best setting is between 120-180C for 3-5 seconds of processing time.

3.2. Preparing for use

APPLIANCE LOCATION

The temperature of environment must not exceed the -10 - 40^ span and the relative humidity should be less than 85% . Ensure good ventilation in the room in which the device is being used and away from any flammable or explosive materials. To ensure good ventilation, there should be at least 10~cm distance between each side of the device and the wall or other objects. The device should always be used positioned on an even, stable, clean, fireproof and dry surface, and be out of the reach of children and persons with limited mental and sensory functions. Position the device such that you always have access to the power plug. The power cord connected to the appliance must be properly grounded and correspond to the technical details on the product label.

ASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCE

The device is delivered almost ready to work but few components require further assembly:

  • Legs - after lifting the shrink tunnel install the legs and then wheels on them where the two wheels with brakes are in diagonal position to each other. Use for it the included bolts and washers by mounting them form outside:

  • Shrink tunnel - it is height adjustable by removing fixing it screws and after heights adjustment fixing them again in chosen position:

MSW PASO T10 - ASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCE - 2

NOTE: adjust the shrink tunnel height according to the product need and working performance.

  • The electrical wires are prepared for 3-phase plug:

MSW PASO T10 - ASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCE - 3

NOTICE: this installation should be done by a qualified electrician.

After installation the machine should be switched on and checked for proper conveyor rotation direction - as indicated by the arrow on its housing. When the rotation is in the opposite direction than indicated by the arrow, exchange any two of the three 3-phase wires:

  • When necessary the angle of the air deflectors (located on both sides of the shrink tunnel) can be adjusted. To do it you have to loose the wing nut on both sides of a deflector and manually adjust its angle. After adjusting to the desired position, re-tighten both wing nuts:

3.3. Device use

  • Switch on the electric supply - put all 3 switches to ON position.
  • Turn on the heating, air blow and conveyor switch - each one should illuminate.
[optional] Adjust the conveyor speed and temperature - they both have to be matched. Also adjustable (if needed) are the shrink tunnel height and air deflectors.

NOTE: to change the heating temperature first press the "SET" button and then the adjustment buttons ( /) .

WARNING: some of these components may become very hot while working - extra caution advised!

  • When the machine reaches the set temperature, the products packed in shrinkable film can be put on the conveyor. Observe the result and made adjustments if needed – the shrunk film should not be melted.

3.4. Cleaning and maintenance

a) The device must be regularly inspected to check its technical efficiency and spot any damage. To lengthen the machine service life it should be frequently maintained - every 6 months when used more than 4 hour per day or each year when used less than 4 hours daily.
b) Unplug the mains plug and allow the device to cool completely before each cleaning, adjustment or replacement of accessories, or if the device is not being used.

  • Wait for the rotating elements to stop and allow the machine to cool it down.

c) Always unplug the device before cleaning it.
d) Use only non-corrosive cleaners to clean the surface.
e) After cleaning the device, all parts should be dried completely before using it again.
f) Store the unit in a dry, cool place, free from moisture and direct exposure to sunlight.
g) Do not spray the device with a water jet or submerge it in water.
h) Do not allow water to get inside the device through vents in the housing of the device.
i) Clean the vents with a brush and compressed air.
j) Use a soft cloth for cleaning.
k) Do not use sharp and/or metal objects for cleaning (e.g. a wire brush or a metal spatula) because they may damage the surface material of the appliance.

1) Do not clean the device with an acidic substance, agents of medical purposes, thinners, fuel, oils or other chemical substances because it may damage the device.
m) If not used for longer period store it in dry, shadowed place and protect it from dust by putting a nylon bag over or similar material.
n) Every week check the condition of the conveyor rollers and their insulation. If the insulation is ripped off or the roller cracked replace it immediately.
o) Every 6 months add lubrication (like ceramic or synthetic lube) to the conveyor chains – be careful to not dispose it over the rollers insulation.
p) Every 2 years of regular service replace the insulated rollers.
