How to connect the DuoView camera to the base unit?

The DuoView camera plugs directly into the VideoFlex base unit via the dedicated connector (reference 1 on the diagram). Make sure the connection is properly engaged.

How to switch between front and side camera?

Use the switch button (reference 2 on the diagram) to toggle between the front camera view and the side camera view. The green LED (side camera) or red LED (front camera) indicates the active view.

What is the depth of field of the front camera?

The front camera provides sharp images at a distance between 3 and 5 cm in front of the camera head. Objects beyond this range may appear blurry.

Is the camera waterproof?

Yes, the camera head is water resistant with an IP67 rating. It can be temporarily submerged, but not the camera body or cable.

Can I use this camera to inspect live electrical installations?

No, the device is not suitable for measurement near dangerous voltage. Ensure that conductive parts are de-energized before any inspection.

How to maintain and clean the camera?

Clean all components with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleaning agents, scouring products, or solvents. Store the device in a dry and clean place.

What is the camera's field of view?

The field of view is 57° for both cameras (front and side).

How many LED lights does the camera have?

Function / Application

The DuoView Camera is a camera unit for connection to the base VideoFlex unit. When combined with the base unit, colour video images are sent to the LCD for inspecting highly inaccessible locations such as cavities, shafts, masonry or in vehicles.

General safety instructions

• The device must only be used in accordance with its intended purpose and within the scope of the specifications.
• The measuring tools and accessories are not toys. Keep out of reach of children.
• The structure of the device must not be modified in any way.
• Do not expose the device to mechanical stress, extreme temperatures or significant vibration.
• The device must no longer be used if one or more of its functions fail or the battery charge is weak.
• The camera head is not acid-resistant or fireproof.
• It is absolutely vital to ensure that the DuoView Camera does not come into contact with chemicals, voltage, moving or hot objects. This can damage the device and put its user at risk of serious injury.
• The DuoView Camera must not be used for medical examinations / examining people.
• Please ensure compliance with the safety regulations set out by local and national authorities with regard to the correct and proper use of the device.
• The unit is not suitable for taking measurements close to dangerous voltages. Therefore always make sure that conductive parts are at zero potential when carrying out measurements in the vicinity of electrical systems. Safe isolation from the power supply and precautions to prevent systems being switched on again must be ensured by implementing suitable measures.

The front camera on the DuoView camera delivers sharp images in a range between 3 and 5 cm from the camera head. The side camera has a depth of field of 1 to 5 cm from the camera head.

Objects well beyond the focus range may appear blurred.
