SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS/IMPORTANT:
- Incorrect use of the appliance may cause injury: carefully follow these instructions.
• This appliance shall not be used by children. - This appliance may be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or without any experience or knowledge, if they are correctly supervised or if the instructions for using the appliance safely have been provided and the risks have been understood.
- This appliance is designed for domestic use or similar such uses as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, other professional environments, farms, customer use in hotels, motels and other residential types of environment such as bed and breakfast accommodation.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by BEABA, its Customer Service or similar qualified people to avoid any danger.
- Do not use this device for any other purpose than the one intended.
- To protect yourself from electric shocks, never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Never leave the power cable hanging over the edge of a table or a counter.
- Always keep hands and utensils out of the bowl during mixing to reduce the risk of serious injury or damage to the appliance. The spatula must be used but only when the appliance is not working.
• Always mix with the lid correctly in place. - Never place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a hot oven.
- CAUTION, RISK OF BURNS - This appliance generates very hot steam (100°C/212°F) in order to cook food.
- Be cautious if warm liquid is poured into the stainless steel tank, a build-up can occur and steam can suddenly be ejected.
- Keep a safe distance from the appliance while it is cooking.
- Do not open the lid until the cooking cycle is finished (hot water projection hazard).
- The surface of the heating element remains hot after use.
• Take care when handling the blade, emptying the bowl and cleaning. - Unplug the appliance before assembling, dismantling or cleaning.

The Babycook ^29 has been designed to help you prepare healthy, simple and quick meals for your baby. It cooks, rehearses and defrosts food with steam, thus preserving their vitamins, and ensures perfect mixing.
Béaba has devised a new ultra-fast Babycook ^® , the Babycook Express ^® . Thanks to its new mixing blade technology, the Babycook Express ^® ensures express steam cooking of food and preserves nutrients.

Remove all the packaging.
Check that your appliance is complete and in perfect condition. Babycook Express ^® is supplied with:
• A motor unit connected to a socket
• A mixing bowl comprising a stainless steel blade
• A mixing paddle and a nut
• A steam cooking basket and a stopper
• A water tank lid
• A bowl lid
• A spatula
- A mixing cover
- Instructions
Cleaning before using for the first time:
- Rinse and wash the accessories in hot water (bowl, tank, cooking basket, the lid and the mixing cover)
- Start a cooking cycle (max level) with only water in the tank (no food in the basket or the bowl)
- Wash your hands well before handling your baby's products and food.
CAUTION
• Always use the appliance on a solid and even surface.
- Do not place the appliance near a heat source, hotplates, etc.
- Do not carry the appliance by the bowl's handle.
- Do not start a cooking cycle without water in the tank.
- Do not put the Babycook® bowl in the oven or the microwave.
EXPRESS COOKING CYCLE
(see P.1 A)
- Lift the heating tank's lid 1
- The heating tank has graduated levels in ml which allow you to dose the amount of water to use and determine the cooking time. Refer to the cooking guide.
- Pour the necessary amount into the tank using the bowl or any other recipient 2
- Close the tank lid 3
- Unlock the lid to access the bowl 4
- Check that the knife is installed correctly in the bottom of the bowl with its seal 5 BEWARE OF THE RISK OF CUTS RISKS WHEN HANDLING SHARP BLADES.
- Install the mixing paddle in the basket and lock it with the nut. SEE ASSEMBLING THE MIXING BLADE 6
- Put the basket in the bowl taking care to place the basket's tab in the bowl's spout

Turn the mixing paddle by hand so that the nut fits over the blade 8

Cut the food into 1cm x 1cm x 1cm cubes and put them in the basket. To ensure even cooking, it is advised not to overload the basket.
- Lock the bowl on the appliance 10.
- Check that the steam outlet seal is not blocked 11
- Close the bowl's lid 12.
- Connect the appliance to a power socket. You will hear a beep and the green button goes out 13
- Turn the button to 📋 to start the express cooking cycle. The appliance beeps once, the button turns white 14.
- At the end of the cooking cycle, the appliance beeps once, and the button flashes green.
- Unlock the bowl's lid 15. CAUTION RISK OF BURNS
- Remove the basket using the spatula 16
- If you wish, set aside the cooking juices in the bottom of the bowl and add them to the preparation to adjust the texture or make mixing easier.*
NOTE: The basket's capacity for Express Cooking is 980 ml.
STANDARD COOKING CYCLE (see P.1 B)
For perfectly and evenly cooked meat and fish, Béaba® recommends standard cooking (without mixing blade).
- Lift the heating tank's lid
- The heating tank has graduated levels in ml which allow you to dose the amount of water to use and determine the cooking time. Refer to cooking guide.
- Pour the necessary amount of water into the tank using the bowl or any other recipient
- Close the tank lid 3.
- Unlock the lid to access the bowl 4
- Check that the knife is installed correctly in the bottom of the bowl with its seal 5 BEWARE OF THE RISK OF CUTS RISKS WHEN HANDLING SHARP BLADES.
- Block the hole in the centre of the basket with the stopper 6
- Put the basket in the bowl taking care to place the basket's tab in the bowl's spout 7
- Cut the food into 1cm x 1cm x 1cm cubes and put them in the basket. To ensure even cooking, it is advised not to overload the basket.
- Lock the bowl on the appliance 9
- Check that the steam outlet seal is not blocked 10
- Close the bowl's lid 11

Connect the appliance to a power socket. You will hear a beep and the green button goes out 12

Turn the button to 🔒 to start the standard cooking cycle. The appliance beeps once, the button turns white 13.
- At the end of the cooking cycle, the appliance beeps once, and the button flashes green.

- Remove the basket using the spatula 15
- After checking that the ingredients are cooked, pour them from the basket into the bowl 16
- Remove the stopper at the bottom of the basket 17
- If you wish, set aside the cooking juices in the bottom of the bowl and add them to the preparation to adjust the texture or make mixing easier.
NOTE: The basket's capacity for Standard Cooking is 1,000 ml.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Do not leave water in the heating tank after cooking.
- Only use clean drinking water that does not contain any leftover food or anything else in the heating tank.
• Always check the temperature of food before serving. - It is advised not to heat food for too long to avoid altering the ingredients.
MIXING CYCLE (see P.1 C)
- Check that the blade is installed correctly in the bottom of the bowl with the seal 1 BEWARE OF THE RISK OF CUTS RISKS WHEN HANDLING SHARP BLADES.
- After checking that the ingredients are cooked, pour them from the basket into the bowl. According to the desired consistency, add some of the cooking juices before running the cycle 2.
- Place the mixing cover on the bowl 3.
- Close the bowl's lid 4
- Plug in the appliance and turn the button to giving 10-second maximum pulses until you have obtained the desired consistency 5 6.
- Open the lid and remove the mixing cover
- Mix the preparation with the spatula without touching the blades and pulse mix again if necessary 9.
- Pour the preparation into a small jar or onto a plate 10.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Do not empty the preparation out of the bowl using a utensil that may damage both the blade and the utensil.
- For the purpose of hygiene, wipe the tank with a clean cloth every time you use the Babycook®.
REHEATING AND DEFROSTING
The food to be reheated or defrosted will have been placed in a suitable container and placed in the cooking basket without a lid. The container must not block the steam outlet.
Add the volume of water required in the tank according to the quantity to be reheated then proceed as for the cooking cycle.
When you hear the sound signal at the end of the cycle, remove the recipient using a cloth (CAUTION the leftover water is very hot after cooking) and stir the contents with a spatula to obtain an even temperature.
Always check the temperature before serving the food to your child.
NB:
Although it is always best to use fresh fruit and vegetables which contain more vitamins, it is entirely possible to cook frozen fruit and vegetables that have been defrosted directly in the Babycook® bowl or in the fridge (never defrost food at room temperature).
CLEANING
• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
- It is advised to wash removable parts by hand: bowl, basket, spatula, mixing blade, mixing cover, lid, seals, knife, etc. These elements are also dishwasher safe. Prolonged use of a dishwasher may cause the parts to age more quickly.
- To clean the blade and its seal, follow the assembly and dismantling instructions:

AssemblingDismantling
- Clean the body of the appliance with a damp sponge and washing-up liquid.
- Never put food or fruit juice in the tank, this will damage the tank.
- If you use the bowl to fill the water tank, make sure it is perfectly clean with no leftover food or juice inside.
- Wash and rinse the tank regularly. Certain types of water and certain uses may increase limescale deposits in the tank.
DESCALING:
- Recommended about every 50 cooking cycles.
- Use spirit vinegar or the BÉABA® cleaning product for Babycook®.
- Never use a chemical descaling solution or a descaling solution for coffee machines in the tank.
- Unplug your appliance, descaling is performed cold without the heating cycle.
- Pour 100 ml of water and 100 ml of spirit vinegar or the Béaba® cleaning product for Babycook® into the tank.
- Leave to soak overnight with the lid open.
- Empty the contents by turning the appliance upside down.
- Rinse at least twice with clean water and empty the contents each time.
- Reposition the lid.
- Start a standard cooking cycle with fresh water in the tank (80 ml, about 10 mins) without food.
- Rinse the bowl well with clean water after use.
NOTE: You may have to descale your appliance more regularly depending on the type of tap water.

Babycook Express ^® benefits from a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty applies subject to normal use in accordance with the instructions available on the various information materials associated with the product and/or published on our brands' websites. During this period, we guarantee the free repair of any defect resulting from a material defect or a manufacturing defect. This warranty is subject to the importer's final evaluation.

- If you notice a fault, start by consulting the user manual.
- If you cannot find a clear answer in the manual, contact the customer service via the website www.beaba.com.
INVALIDATION OF THE WARRANTY
- In case of improper use, a connection error, the use of non-original parts or accessories, negligence, and in case of faults caused by humidity, fire, floods, lightning, or natural disasters.
- In case of unauthorised modifications and/or repairs by third parties.
- In case of the appliance being transported incorrectly without proper packaging, or if this warranty card or proof of purchase is missing.
• Furthermore, the warranty does not cover power cables and plugs.
All other responsibility, in particular in terms of indirect damages, is excluded.
