Thank you for buying our ZEN SMART Al camera. You will soon be able to see and hear your baby remotely. But firstly, we invite you to read these instructions carefully in order to use our product in the best possible conditions and keep it for as long as possible.

I. WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

Read and keep these instructions. Take account of all the warnings.

1. WARNINGS

TO AVOID THE RISK OF STRANGULATION, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO CHECK THAT BABY CANNOT REACH THE ADAPTOR'S WIRE. PLACE THE ADAPTOR AT LEAST 1 METRE FROM THE CHILD.

WARNING: to avoid the risk of explosion, electric shocks, short-circuits, and overheating:

Do not immerse the Parent or Baby unit or the charger in water, and do not clean them under running water.

• Keep the battery away from any excessive heat sources, such as radiators, heaters, ovens, stoves, or other heat-producing appliances.
• To prevent overheating, do not cover the baby monitor with a towel, blanket, or any other object.
• Do not touch the plug contacts with sharp or metallic objects.

During continuous use, the baby unit's adapter may become warm to the touch. This is a normal reaction and should not be a cause for concern.

2. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

• Use this device only for the purpose described in this manual.
• Position the baby unit to get the best view of your baby in the crib. Place it on a flat surface, such as a dresser, desk, or shelf. The camera can be mounted on the wall using the provided bracket.
• For optimal performance of your video baby monitor and to reduce interference, we recommend not plugging other electrical devices into the same power outlet as your video baby monitor. (Do not use a power strip).
• Before plugging the video baby monitor into the mains, make sure the voltage indicated on the adapters matches the mains voltage. Do not place the camera too close to devices operating on the 2.4GHz frequency (Wi-Fi or Bluetooth).
• If the Parent Unit is not in use, turn it off using the ON/OFF button. If the Baby Unit is not in use, unplug it.
• The product must be installed by adults. Keep small components away from children during assembly.

Adult supervision

• The video baby monitor is designed to provide assistance and additional peace of mind. It should not be considered a medical device or a substitute for adult supervision. Under no circumstances can it replace responsible and appropriate monitoring by an adult: it is strongly recommended that an adult regularly checks on the baby in addition to using the video baby monitor.
• Never leave the house if your child is alone, even for a short moment.
• Never place the baby unit inside the crib or playpen.
• For safety reasons, do not allow children to play with the video baby monitor.

Storage Precautions

• Use and store the video baby monitor in a location where the temperature is between 10^ and 35^ .
• Keep the baby monitor away from direct sunlight.
• If you suspect the battery is damaged, stop using the product immediately. Contact BEABA customer service for assistance. Never use a product with a damaged battery.

Only use accessories supplied by the manufacturer.

III. BEFORE USE

a. Baby Unit

Plug the baby unit (camera) into a power outlet using a 2A USB adapter (5V 2A), and place it at least 1 meter away from the baby's head and up to 2.5 meters from the baby to ensure good image quality.

The baby unit must remain plugged in to operate, as it does not have a built-in battery.

IV. CAMERA DESCRIPTION - BABY UNIT

• To access the SD card slot and reset button, and to hide the lens, please rotate the black part of the camera from bottom to top.

V. INSTALLATION

1) Install the camera on a flat surface.

2) If needed, you can use the provided bracket (E) to mount the camera.

VI. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Warning Never use chemical cleaners, sprays or liquid detergents. - Before cleaning, all the mains adapters must be unplugged - Clean the camera only with a damp cloth.

13. ENVIRONMENT AND RECYCLING -

This device has been designed and manufactured with high-quality materials and components such as Lithium batteries that can be recycled and reused. - Do not dispose of this product with ordinary household waste. Seek information about the provisions in force in your region concerning the separate collection of electrical and electronic appliances. Take this product to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.

14. WARRANTY

The BEABA ZEN SMART Al camera benefits from a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase. During this period, we guarantee the free repair of any defect resulting from a material defect or a manufacturing defect. This warranty is subject to the final evaluation of the importer. If you require assistance or additional information, consult the Beaba website or contact the Beaba consumer service.

• If you notice a fault, start by consulting the user manual.
• In the absence of a clear answer in the manual, contact this camera's supplier via the website www.beaba.com.

INVALIDATION OF THE WARRANTY

• In the case of inappropriate use, a connection error, the use of non-original parts or accessories, negligence, and in the case of faults caused by humidity, fire, floods, lightning, or natural disasters;
• In the case of unauthorised modifications and/or repairs by third parties;
• In the case of the unsuitable transport of the device without appropriate packaging, as well as in the case of this warranty card or proof of purchase being absent. The warranty does not cover connection cables and batteries. All other responsibility, in particular in terms of indirect damages, is excluded.
