How to turn on the Hama IR40MBT radio for the first time?

Plug the device into a mains socket. The Setup Wizard starts automatically in English. You can follow it or skip it to launch later via the Settings menu.

How to change the interface language?

Press and hold the [Mode/Settings] button for 3 seconds to open the Settings menu. Turn the NAVIGATE/ENTER/VOLUME knob to select 'System', then 'Language'. Choose the desired language (French available) and confirm.

How to connect the radio to my WiFi network?

Make sure your router is on and WiFi is enabled. During first startup, the wizard guides you. Otherwise, go to the Settings menu > Network > WiFi, select your network and enter the password using the navigation knob.

How to use Bluetooth with a smartphone?

Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone. On the radio, press [Mode/Settings] to select Bluetooth mode. Search for 'IR40MBT' in the list of devices on your phone and pair. Once connected, you can stream music.

Can I listen to the radio via a USB stick?

Yes, insert a USB stick into the USB port on the back. The radio automatically detects audio files. Use the navigation buttons to select and play tracks.

How to adjust the volume?

Turn the NAVIGATE/ENTER/VOLUME knob (7) clockwise to increase volume, counterclockwise to decrease.

How to reset the radio to factory settings?

Access the Settings menu by holding [Mode/Settings]. Go to 'System' then 'Factory Reset'. Confirm. The radio will restart with default settings.

What to do if the radio does not find a WiFi network?

Check that your router is working and WiFi is enabled. Move the radio away from obstacles. Restart the radio and router. If the problem persists, perform a network reset in the Settings menu.

How to clean the radio?
