Connect the appliance to the nearest suitable power outlet (see section 4 "For your safety").
Please note that when you plug in the appliance, it switches on automatically.
7/ OPERATION
Caution: do not touch the heating zone while the appliance is in operation: burn hazard.
The “OFF” position is indicated by “O”.
The "MAX" position corresponds to the highest cooking temperature.
First use: clean the plancha plate with soapy water and rinse. Then operate your plancha empty (without food on the grates) for 15 minutes. A slight odour may then be released for a few moments.
Preheating: we recommend that you preheat the plancha for about 15 minutes to optimise cooking quality.
Cooking: You can dab the griddle with oil using a brush to reduce the likelihood of food sticking to it. Turn the control knob to select the desired temperature of the griddle. The blue indicator light next to the control knob indicates that your Plancha is heating up. When it switches off, it indicates that the set temperature has been reached.
The thermostat then operates cyclically to maintain the selected temperature.
Arrange the food and cook according to your preference.
The temperature can be reduced to keep the food warm.
While cooking:
- Do not leave any cooking utensils in contact with the griddle, such as cutlery, wooden or plastic items.
After use, turn the control knob to 'O' and unplug the appliance.
Warning: the grease collection cup should only be handled when it has cooled down.
8/ CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The griddle on your appliance cannot be removed.
In order to maintain your appliance in perfect operating condition, it is recommended to clean it after each use.
Periodically clean the sides and front of your appliance with a sponge and washing-up liquid. Do not use abrasive products.
Important: Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
Our tips for cleaning your appliance:
The most effective and easiest way to clean the Plancha is when it is still warm after use. It can also be gently heated for a few minutes.
Start by emptying the residue collection cup if it is full, then replace it.
As a result of the quality coatings on our planchas, cleaning the griddle is quick and easy.
Simply pour a little room-temperature water or white vinegar onto your griddle while it is still warm. The fact that the water muddies on the plate will loosen any residue and grease, making the rest of the cleaning operation easier.
Then simply use a spatula to scrape the residue and remaining grease into the grease collection cup. Monitor the level of the recovery cup throughout the cleaning process to prevent it from overflowing. Adding other cleaning fluids (water, vinegar, etc.) can speed up filling of the grease collection container considerably.
Empty the grease collection container and replace if necessary.
We recommend emptying it after each use, and putting it in the dishwasher if possible.
Finish cleaning by washing the griddle with a sponge and washing-up liquid, rinse with clean water and dry the plate.
Please note:
Do not use ice cubes on the plate if it is still hot, as the thermal shock can damage the enamel surface.
We also advise you not to use paper towels or abrasive sponges, as they can scratch the paint, leaving marks and even damaging the markings. A soft microfiber towel is as efficient and will prevent damages.
9/ STORAGE
- It is strongly recommended that you store your appliance protected from the weather after unplugging the power supply.
- If the appliance is not used for an extended period, it is strongly recommended to store it in a dry place protected from the weather (e.g. a garage).
- The packaging box can be kept for storage.
In any case, keep the operating instructions and wait for the appliance to cool down completely before storing it.
10/ ACCESSORIES
ADG (Campingaz®) recommends the use of its planchas exclusively with Campingaz® brand accessories and spare parts. ADG (Campingaz®) accepts no liability for loss or damage, or any malfunction caused by the use of accessories and/or spare parts of other brands.
11/ PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
Think about protecting the environment! Your equipment contains materials which can be recovered or recycled. Hand it in to your local authority waste collection service and sort the packaging materials.
12/ ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC WASTE

This symbol means that the appliance's electrical system must be disposed of selectively. At the end of its life, the appliance's electrical system must be scrapped correctly. The electric plancha must not be disposed of with unsorted municipal
waste. Selective collection of waste promotes reuse, recycling or other forms of recovery of recyclable materials contained in this waste. Your electric barbecue must not be disposed of in unsorted municipal waste. Dispose of the electric plancha at a special waste recycling facility. Check with your local authorities. Never dispose of it in nature, and do not incinerate: the presence of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment can be harmful to the environment, and have a potential effect on human health.
Now that you have read the instructions, you can start cooking and enjoying your plancha safely.
