How to use the hood DBE5670M / DBE5670R?

To turn on the hood, touch the power symbol for at least 1 second. You can then select the desired speed (1, 2, 3 or maximum speed). The lighting activates independently with the dedicated symbol. It is recommended to let the hood run for 15 minutes after cooking.

How to clean the grease filters of the hood?

The grease filters should be cleaned monthly. To remove them, press the lever of the fixing clamp under the hood, tilt the filter downwards and pull. Wash them by hand with a sponge and non-abrasive detergent, or in the dishwasher on a short cycle at low temperature. Replace them by following the reverse steps.

When should the charcoal filter be replaced?

The activated charcoal filter is not washable and must be replaced every 4 to 6 months, or more often with intensive use. A flashing signal (after 160 hours of use) reminds you to change it. To replace, first remove the grease filter, then press the tab on the charcoal filter to unclip it.

What does the indicator light on the hood mean?

Symbol ① lights up steady for 30 seconds after 40 hours of use: this means the grease filter needs cleaning. If it flashes after 160 hours, the grease filter needs cleaning and the charcoal filter needs replacement. To reset the signal, press symbol ① for 3 seconds.

How to adjust the hood speed?

The hood has 4 speeds: 1st, 2nd, 3rd and maximum speed. To switch to a speed, press the corresponding symbol. The maximum speed activates for 8 minutes, then the hood returns to the previous setting.

How does the hood timer work?

The timer allows the hood to turn off automatically after 5 minutes. It activates by pressing the timer symbol when the hood is running. The symbol flashes, then the hood stops after 5 minutes. To deactivate, press again.

2.1 Control panel overview

3.1 Using the hood

Check the recommended speed according to the table below.

It is recommended to leave the hood operating for approximately 15 minutes after cooking.

After 40 hours of usage, the symbol ⑦ turns on for 30 seconds. The grease filter must be cleaned. After 160 hours of usage, the symbol ⑦ flashes for 30 seconds. The grease filter must be cleaned and charcoal filter must be replaced or cleaned.

4. CARE AND CLEANING

4.1 Notes on cleaning

Cleaning Agents	Do not use abrasive detergents and brushes. Clean the surface of the appliance with a soft cloth with warm water and a mild detergent.
	After cooking some parts of appliance can get hot. To avoid stains appliance must be cooled down and dried with clean cloth or paper towels.
	Clean stains with a mild detergent.

Keep the hood clean

Clean the appliance and grease filters each month. Clean the interior and grease filters carefully from fat. Fat accumulation or other residue may cause fire.

Grease filters can be washed in a dishwasher.

The dishwasher must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle.

The grease filter may discolour, it has no influence on the performance of the appliance.

Charcoal filter

The time of saturation of the charcoal filter varies depending on the type of cooking and the regularity of cleaning the grease filter. The activated charcoal filter is not washable, cannot be regenerated and must be replaced approximately every 4/6 months of operation, or more frequently for particularly heavy usage.

4.2 Cleaning the grease filter

Filters are mounted with the use of clips and pins on the opposite side.

To clean the filter:

1. Press the handle of the mounting clip on the filter panel underneath the hood (1).

1. Slightly tilt the front of the filter downwards (2), then pull. Repeat the first two steps for all filters.
2. Clean the filters using a sponge with non abrasive detergents or in a dishwasher.

The dishwasher must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle. The grease filter may discolour, it has no influence on the performance of the appliance.

1. To mount the filters back follow the first two steps in reverse order.

Repeat the steps for all filters if applicable.

4.3 Replacing the charcoal filter

The charcoal filter is non-washable!

To replace the filter:

1. Remove the grease filters from the appliance. Refer to "Cleaning the grease filter" in this chapter.
2. Press the tab (1) and slightly tilt the front of the filter.
