Before operating this unit, please read these instructions completely and save them for future use.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. • The supply cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the AC adaptor should be scrapped.

• This WET/DRY clipper can be used for wet trimming or for dry trimming. You can use this watertight clipper in the shower and clean with water. The following symbol means suitable for use in a bath or shower.

Charging the clipper

Perform the following steps to charge the clipper if it seems to lose the speed.

Attaching or removing the comb attachments

Attach to/remove from the main body while pressing on the 3 mm adjustment buttons. • It will make a clicking sound when attached correctly.

• Make sure that the clipper is turned off. 1. Mount the trimming height comb attachment to the main body. 2. Slide up and down while pressing on the 3 mm adjustment buttons.

3. Slide the trimming height adjustment lever to the left or right and adjust the trimming height indication mark to the number indicating the desired length.

•• Trim in dry when trimming without the comb attachment.

•• Wet trimming is recommended when trimming to approximately 5 mm or shorter lengths. •• When trimming in wet, you may not get desired results depending on the length of the hair before trimming (should be approximately 10 mm or longer) and/or hair condition (permed hair, etc.). For such cases, it is recommended to trim in dry.

6. Apply the oil to the blade. 7. Attach the comb attachment and blade to the clipper.

Apply the oil to the clipper before and after each use. Apply a drop of the oil to the points indicated by the arrows.

Remounting the blade

Fit the mounting hook into the blade mounting on the clipper and then push in until you hear a click.

The clipper has become blunt.

Replace the blade. (See page 14.) Clean the blade and apply oil. (See pages 13 and 14.) Charge the clipper. (See page 9.)

If few uses remain even after charging, the battery has reached the end of its life. (Fluid may be leaking due to degradation at the end of battery life.) Contact an authorized service center for repair. Push the main body into the AC adaptor all the way and make sure the charge status lamp glows.

Battery life will vary according to the frequency and length of use. If the battery is charged once every 2 weeks, the service life will be approximately 3 years. • It is recommended that the clipper be recharged at least every 6 months even when not in regular use because the charge will drain from the battery and its service life may be shortened.

Removing the built-in rechargeable battery

Remove the built-in rechargeable battery before disposing of the clipper.

Please make sure that the battery is disposed of at an officially designated location if there is one. This figure must only be used when disposing of the clipper, and must not be used to repair it.
