If your SilverCrest SOR 2600 A1 radiator does not turn on, first check that the power cord is properly plugged into a functional electrical outlet of 220-240 V. Test the outlet with another device to ensure it is providing power. Also, make sure the outlet is properly connected and not faulty.

Check the heating degree switch (position I, II, or III according to your need). This switch should never be set to 0 or OFF, otherwise the device cannot operate. If you have just plugged in the radiator, first set this switch to the desired level (III for quick heating, I for slow heating).

Next, check the adjustable thermostat. For the radiator to turn on, the thermostat must be set to a temperature higher than the current ambient temperature of your room. If the room temperature is already high, the thermostat will not trigger the heating. Turn the thermostat to the MAX position to test, or gradually increase the setting to activate the device. You should see the “Power” control indicator light up, confirming that the device is working.

If the radiator suddenly stopped after a few minutes, it is likely that the automatic overheat protection has activated. This safety feature cuts off power if the device becomes too hot. In this case, allow the device to cool down for 15 to 20 minutes without covering it before attempting to restart. Also, ensure that nothing is obstructing the 9 heating fins and that no objects or fabric are blocking the device.

Inspect the power cord and plug for any visible signs of damage, such as frayed wires, tears, or burns. If you notice any damage, do not attempt to repair it yourself and do not reuse the device.
