Frequently Asked Questions - EWDJ11 PANASONIC

How to install the alkaline batteries?
Make sure the appliance is turned off (button on '0'). Remove the main body from the reservoir. Open the battery compartment cover, insert two LR6 (AA) batteries respecting polarity (+/-), then close the cover by sliding it until it clicks. Then install the reservoir.
Can I use mouthwash or salt in the reservoir?
No, only fill the reservoir with tap water or distilled water. Using mouthwash, salt, or other chemicals may cause malfunction.
Why is the water jet weak?
This may be due to a clogged filter or blocked nozzle. Clean the filter (tip of the suction hose) with a soft brush. If the nozzle is deformed or clogged, replace it.
How to clean the filter of the appliance?
The filter is located at the tip of the water suction hose. Gently scrub it with a soft brush to remove dirt. Make sure it is not clogged for optimal flow.
What to do if water does not come out?
First check that the main unit is upright. If water still does not come out, put a little water into the nozzle mounting hole, install the nozzle, then turn on. If problem persists, clean the filter or nozzle.
How often to replace the nozzle?
It is recommended to replace the nozzle every 6 months for hygiene reasons. Replace it sooner if the tip is deformed.
Can I use the appliance in the shower?
Yes, the appliance can be used in a bath or shower. However, be careful not to drop it and follow safety instructions.
What to do if water leaks from the lower cover?
Check that the rubber ring of the lower cover is properly installed, with the convex part facing outward. If leakage persists, contact an authorized service center.
Gums bleed during use, is this normal?
Light bleeding may occur at first because the gums are not used to the stimulation. This should stop after 1 to 2 weeks. If bleeding persists beyond 2 weeks, stop use and consult a dentist.
How to store the appliance after use?
Empty the reservoir, clean it and the lower cover. Let dry. Store the nozzle in its compartment by pushing it to the storage position. Keep the appliance in a dry place away from moisture.
