• This appliance is equipped with an automatic overheating protective device. If the appliance overheats, it will switch to cold air mode. Switch off the appliance and unplug it from the household outlet. Allow it to cool down for a few minutes before using it again. Check that no fl uff, hair etc. is in the air inlets and outlets before switching it on again.

(nanoe™, mineral ion generation method: high voltage discharge) nanoe™ nanoe™ is generated by collecting the available moisture in the air, so depending on the usage environment, nanoe™ may not be generated. In environments of low temperature and low humidity, moisture in the air becomes diffi cult to collect. When this occurs, negative ions are generated. nanoe™ are ions wrapped in water that are invisible to the human eye. Mineral ion Ions generated by a zinc electrode that cannot be seen by the eye. When the hair is about 90% dry, use the hot/ cold alternating mode to fi nish it well, making the hair shiny.

• Select [ ] with the mode switching button. In order to thoroughly apply hot and cold air, part your hair to the left and right to dry it.

Select [SCALP] with the mode switching button.

Lift your hair by hand and dry your scalp.

• You may feel cold depending on the ambient temperature. In this case, move the appliance further away from your scalp on [HOT] and apply air.

Place the air outlet at a distance of about 20 cm from your chin and apply air for about 1 minute, moving the appliance to the left and right.

• Use with your eyes closed.

• Perform skin care using lotion or milky lotion, in the same way and timing as normal. The description of the air temperature is based on IEC standard at 240 V. Do this when you wish to reduce the hot sensation of hot air following procedure 2 on P.13

Keep the diffuser held on specifi c areas of your head for a few seconds to attain volume as you wish. Repeat until your desired look is achieved. To adjust hair fl ow with a diffuser Comb the hair with a diffuser to dry the hair from the roots to the tips while pulling the ends of the hair. To set your hair

• Keep a distance of over 3 cm between the air outlet and your hair.

• Keep the appliance at least 10 cm away from your hair so that it is not sucked into to the air inlet.

• Be careful not to bump the air inlet such as on the corner of a desk. 10cm 3cm

• Styling and treatment agents etc. can be used. However, if you use sticky substances such as oil, gel or wax, the intended effect of nanoe™ and mineral ion may become diffi cult to achieve.

• Since nanoe™ and mineral ions are generated, you might encounter the following. - Water droplets may be blown out of the nanoe™ outlet during use. - You may hear a noise from the nanoe™ outlet or the mineral ion outlet. - You may notice a characteristic smell during use.

• Do not look into the air outlet while in use. (These sparks are caused by the thermostat switch which is the protective device, and are not dangerous.) Dust is attached to the air inlet or air outlet. Hair or something is blocking the air inlet. Remove the attached dust. (See page 17.) Hot air repeatedly turns into cold air. Do not block the air inlet. The hot air is abnormally hot. The power plug is abnormally hot. The power plug is not fi rmly inserted into the outlet. Use an outlet in which the power plug fi ts snugly. Sparks are generated inside the nanoe™ outlet. The needle-shaped part located at the back of the nanoe™ outlet is dirty. Perform maintenance on the nanoe™ outlet. (See page 17.) A noise (crackling) is heard inside the nanoe™ outlet. There is a peculiar smell. This is because nanoe™ and mineral ion produce a peculiar smell; there is no infl uence to your body. Water droplets fl y out from the nanoe™ outlet. Water droplets occasionally fl y out from the nanoe™outlet when generating nanoe™; this is not an abnormality.” The [HOT] lamp is blinking quickly (twice per second). Device abnormality. Please consult an authorized service center for repair. If the problems still cannot be solved, contact the store where you purchased the unit or a service center authorised by Panasonic for repair.
