• This appliance is equipped with an automatic overheating protective device. If the appliance overheats, it will switch to cold air mode. Switch off the appliance and unplug it from the household outlet. Allow it to cool down for a few minutes before using it again. Check that no fluff, hair etc. is in the air inlets and outlets before switching it on again.
• You may notice a characteristic odor when using this appliance. This is caused by the ozone it generates and is not harmful to the human body. In environments of low temperature and low humidity, moisture in the air becomes difficult to collect. When this occurs, negative ions are generated. nanoe™ is ion wrapped in water that are invisible to the human eye.

• Select [ ] with the mode switching button. Use a towel to partially dry your hair. Then brush or comb your fingers to remove tangles. Plug into the household outlet. In order to thoroughly apply hot and cold air, part your hair to the left and right to dry it.

Place the air outlet at a distance of about 20 cm from your chin and apply air for about 1 minute, moving the appliance to the left and right. • You may feel cold depending on the ambient temperature. In this case, move the appliance further away from your scalp on [HOT] and apply air.

• Use with your eyes closed.
• Perform skin care using lotion or milky lotion, in the same way and timing as normal.

Select [HOT] with the mode switching button and dry your hair overall.

• Keep a distance of over 3 cm between the air outlet and your hair.
• Keep the appliance at least 10 cm away from your hair so that it is not 3 cm sucked into to the air inlet.
• Be careful not to bump the air inlet 10 cm such as on the corner of a desk.
• Styling and treatment agents etc. can be used. However, if you use sticky substances such as oil, gel or wax, the intended effect of nanoe™ and mineral ion may become difficult to achieve.
• Since nanoe™ and mineral ions are generated, you might encounter the following. - Water droplets may be blown out of the nanoe™ outlet during use. - You may hear a noise from the nanoe™ outlet or the mineral ion outlet. - You may notice a characteristic smell during use. (These sparks are caused by the thermostat switch which is the protective device, and are not dangerous.) Dust is attached to the air inlet or air outlet. Remove the attached dust. (See page 16 - 17.) Hair or something is blocking the air inlet. Do not block the air inlet. The power plug is not firmly inserted into the outlet. Use an outlet in which the power plug fits snugly. The needle-shaped part located at the back of the nanoe™ outlet is dirty. Perform maintenance on the nanoe™ outlet. (See page 17.) Hot air repeatedly turns into cold air. The hot air is abnormally hot. The power plug is abnormally hot. Sparks are generated inside the nanoe™ outlet. A noise (crackling) is heard inside the nanoe™ outlet. Action There is a peculiar smell. This is because nanoe™ and mineral ion produce a peculiar smell; there is no influence to your body. Water droplets fly out from the nanoe™ outlet. Water droplets occasionally fly out from when generating nanoe™; this is not an abnormality. The [HOT] lamp is blinking quickly (twice per second). Device abnormality. Please consult an authorized service center for repair. If the problems still cannot be solved, contact the store where you purchased the unit or a service center authorised by Panasonic for repair. A 10-ampere fuse is fitted in this plug. Should the fuse need to be replaced please ensure that the replacement fuse has a rating of 10-ampere and that it is approved by ASTA or BSI to BS1362. Check for the ASTA mark or the BSI mark on the body of the fuse. If the plug contains a removable fuse cover you must ensure that it is refitted when the fuse is replaced. If you lose the fuse cover the plug must not be used until a replacement cover is obtained. A replacement fuse cover can be purchased from your local dealer. CAUTION! IF THE FITTED MOULDED PLUG IS UNSUITABLE FOR THE SOCKET OUTLET IN YOUR HOME THEN THE FUSE SHOULD BE REMOVED AND THE PLUG CUT OFF AND DISPOSED OF SAFELY. How to replace the fuse The location of the fuse differ according to the type of AC mains plug (figures A and B). Confirm the AC mains plug fitted and follow the instructions below. Illustrations may differ from actual AC mains plug.
