What is the battery life of the lamp?

The battery life depends on the capacity of the battery used. The lighting duration is 190 minutes per Ah. For example, with a 4 Ah battery, you get about 760 minutes (12.7 hours).

Can I use the lamp in rain or humid environment?

The lamp is designed for indoor use or dry weather. Avoid exposure to water or excessive humidity. The operating temperature range is -20 to +50 °C, but the device is not waterproof.

How to replace the LED if it is defective?

The light source cannot be replaced. If the LED is defective, the entire lamp must be replaced. Contact Bosch customer service.

Which batteries are compatible with this lamp?

The lamp is compatible with Bosch GBA 18V and ProCORE18V batteries. Use only Bosch-recommended batteries to ensure safety and performance.

Can I leave the lamp on continuously all night?

Yes, it is possible. The lamp has thermal protection that turns it off automatically if the temperature exceeds 60 °C. Let it cool down before turning it on again.

How to clean the lamp without damaging it?

Clean the plastic diffuser with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use detergents or solvents that could attack the material.

Can the lamp be used as outdoor worksite lighting?

Yes, it is suitable for mobile and localized outdoor lighting, provided it is protected from rain. It is not approved for road traffic.

What to do if the lamp flashes and turns off suddenly?

This indicates overheating. Turn off the lamp, remove the battery, and let it cool down completely before reuse. Also check that the cooling fins are not blocked.

Is the lamp supplied with a battery and charger?

No, the lamp is sold without battery or charger. These are separate accessories. You can use Bosch 18V series batteries and chargers.

Can I use a battery of another brand?

No, for safety and performance reasons, use only recommended Bosch batteries (GBA 18V or ProCORE18V). Use of non-compliant batteries may damage the lamp or cause a fire.

Safety instructions for cordless worklights

Read all the safety and general instructions. Failure to observe the safety and general instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.

Save all safety and general instructions for future reference.

Handle the worklight with care. The worklight produces intense heat which increases the risk of fire and explosion. Do not work with the worklight in potentially explosive areas.

• Do not continue to press the On/Off switch after the worklight has been automatically switched off. The battery can be damaged. Ensure that the battery is charged and that the worklight has cooled before switching on the worklight again. Use only original Bosch accessories. The light source cannot be replaced. If the light source is defective, the entire cordless worklight must be replaced.
• Remove the batteries from the worklight before carrying out any work on the worklight (e.g. assembly, maintenance, etc.) as well as when transporting and storing the worklight. There is risk of injury from unintentionally pressing the on/off switch.
• Do not direct the light beam at persons or animals and do not stare into the light beam yourself (even from a distance). Do not use the worklight in road traffic. The worklight is not permitted for illumination in road traffic.

NOTE: Do not look into the light beam for prolonged periods. The optical radiation may harm your eyes.

• Do not cover the lamp head while the cordless worklight is operating. The lamp head warms up during operation and can cause burns if this heat accumulates. In case of damage and improper use of the battery, vapours may be emitted. The battery can set alight or explode. Ensure the area is well ventilated and seek medical attention should you experience any adverse effects. The vapours may irritate the respiratory system. If used incorrectly or if the battery is damaged, flammable liquid may be ejected from the battery. Contact with this liquid should be avoided. If contact accidentally occurs, rinse off with water. If the liquid comes into contact with your eyes, seek additional medical attention. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns. The battery can be damaged by pointed objects such as nails or screwdrivers or by force applied externally. An internal short circuit may occur, causing the battery to burn, smoke, explode or overheat.
• When the battery is not in use, keep it away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects that could make a connection from one terminal to another. A short circuit between the battery terminals may cause burns or a fire. Do not open the battery. There is a risk of short-circuiting.

• Only use the battery with products from the manufacturer. This is the only way in which you can protect the battery against dangerous overload.

Protect the battery against heat, e.g. against continuous intense sunlight, fire, dirt, water and moisture. There is a risk of explosion and short-circuiting.

• Only charge the batteries using chargers recommended by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery may pose a fire risk when used with a different battery. Avoid dust accumulation at the workplace. Dust can easily ignite. This cordless worklight is not intended for use by children and persons with physical, sensory or mental limitations or a lack of experience or knowledge. Assembly

Battery Charging (Accessory)

• Use only the chargers listed in the technical data. Only these chargers are matched to the lithium-ion battery of cordless worklight.

Note: The battery is supplied partially charged. To ensure full battery capacity, fully charge the battery in the charger before using your tool for the first time. The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time without reducing its service life. Interrupting the charging process does not damage the battery.

The lithium-ion battery is protected against deep discharge by the "Electronic Cell Protection (ECP)". A protective circuit switches the cordless worklight off when the battery is drained.

Do not continue to press the On/Off switch after the worklight has been automatically switched off. The battery can be damaged. Ensure that the battery is charged and that the worklight has cooled before switching on the worklight again.

To remove the battery (4), press the release button (5) and pull the battery out of the cordless worklight. Do not use force to do this.

Follow the instructions on correct disposal.

Operation

Starting Operation

Inserting the battery

Insert the charged battery (4) into lamp head (3) until it can be felt to engage and faces flush against the lamp head.

Setting up

Place the cordless worklight on a stable, level surface. Make sure it is secure.

Switching On and Off

To switch on the cordless worklight, press the on/off switch (2).

To switch off the cordless worklight, press the on/off switch (2) again.

Temperature Dependent Overload Protection

If the permissible heat sink temperature of 60°C is exceeded, the cordless worklight flashes 3 times and switches off. Let the cordless worklight cool down and then switch the cordless worklight back on.

Battery charge indicator

The green LEDs on the battery charge indicator indicate the state of charge of the battery. For safety reasons, it is only possible to check the state of charge when the power tool is not in operation.

Press the button for the battery charge indicator or to show the state of charge.

This is also possible when the battery is removed.

If no LED lights up after pressing the button for the battery charge indicator, then the battery is defective and must be replaced.

Practical Advice

The cordless worklight lights up with reduced brightness when the remaining lighting duration is ≤ 10 minutes.

The cordless worklight is maintenance-free and does not contain any parts that need to be replaced or maintained.

Only clean the cordless worklight's plastic lens with a dry, soft cloth to prevent damage. Do not use any detergents or solvents.

Installing the battery

Insert the charged battery (4) into the lamp head (3) so that it clicks into place and does not protrude from the lamp head.

Installation

Place the battery lamp on a stable, level surface. Ensure that it is positioned securely.

Switching on/off

To switch on the battery lamp, press the power button (2).

To switch off the battery lamp, press the power button (2) again.

Thermal protection against overload

If the permissible temperature of the heat sink exceeds 60°C, the battery indicator flashes 3 times and goes out. Let the battery lamp cool down and then switch it on again.

Battery charge indicator

The green LEDs on the battery charge indicator show the charge level. For safety reasons, the charge indicator is only active when the power tool is at a standstill.

Press the battery charge indicator button,

Check the charge level of the battery pack. This is also possible when the battery pack is removed.

If after pressing the battery charge indicator button, none of the LEDs light up, the battery is defective and must be replaced.

The brightness of the rechargeable work light decreases when the remaining operating time is less than or equal to 10 minutes.

Operation

Starting operation

Inserting the battery pack

Insert the battery pack (4) into the head of the screwdriver (3) until it clicks into place and does not protrude beyond the head of the screwdriver.

Installation

Install the battery pack on a flat, level surface. Follow the installation instructions.

Switching On/Off

To switch on the battery-powered screwdriver, press the switch (2).

To switch off the battery-powered screwdriver, press the switch (2) again.

Overload Protection

If the permissible radiator temperature of 60°C is exceeded, the battery-powered screwdriver switches off automatically. Allow the battery-powered screwdriver to cool down and then switch it on again.

Battery Charge Indicator

The green LEDs of the battery charge indicator show the charge level of the battery. For safety reasons, the charge level can only be checked when the power tool is switched off.

Press the battery charge indicator button to display the charge level. This can also be done when the battery pack is removed from the power tool.

If after pressing the battery charge indicator button no LED lights up, the battery is defective and must be replaced.

Transport

The recommended lithium-ion batteries are subject to dangerous goods legislation. The batteries can be transported by road without further requirements.

When transporting by third parties (e.g. air transport or forwarding agency), special requirements on packaging and labelling must be observed. For the preparation of the item being sent, consulting an expert for hazardous material is required.

Dispatch the battery only when the housing is undamaged. Tape or mask off open contacts and pack up the battery in such a manner that it cannot move around in the packaging. Please also observe possibly more detailed national regulations.

If you come into contact with the fluid, rinse with water. If the fluid comes into contact with your eyes, seek medical help. The leaked fluid from the battery can cause skin irritation or burns. The battery can be damaged by sharp objects such as knives or by being dropped. This can cause an internal short circuit.

Transport

The contained lithium-ion batteries are subject to the Dangerous Goods Act. The batteries can be transported by the user without further requirements.

When transporting by third parties (e.g., air transport or forwarding agency), special requirements for packaging and labeling must be observed. In this case, an expert for hazardous substances must be consulted when preparing the shipment.

Transport the batteries only if the housing is undamaged. Tape off open contacts and pack the battery in such a way that it cannot move around in the packaging. Please also observe any additional national regulations.

Disposal

Battery packs, batteries, accessories, and packaging should be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

Do not dispose of battery packs and batteries in household waste!

According to the European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its implementation in national law, battery packs that are no longer usable must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally compatible manner. According to Directive 2006/66/EC, defective or used batteries must be collected separately and recycled. If disposed of improperly, electrical and electronic equipment may have harmful effects on the environment and human health due to the potential presence of hazardous substances.
