4. Micro-USBcharging connection

Thank youfor choosing aHama product. Take your time and read the following instructions andinformation completely. Please keepthese instructions in asafeplace forfuturereference. If yousellthe device, pleasepass these operating instructions on to the newowner.

4. Getting started and operation

4.1 Switching on theproduct

  • Press andholdthe two function buttons (1) for about2secondstoswitchthe speaker on or off.

4.2 Chargingthe battery

Warning –Rechargeable battery

  • Onlyuse suitable chargingdevicesor USB connections to charge the product.
  • Asarule, do not use charging devices or USB connections that are defective and do nottry to repairthem yourself .
  • Donot overcharge the product orallow the batterytocompletely discharge.
  • Avoid storing,chargingorusing batteries in extreme temperatures.
  • Whenstoredover along period of time, batteries should be chargedregularly (at leastevery three months). Note Each halfofthe SoundCup-Dhas itsown battery .Bothhalves must be charged in ordertouse the speaker. Thefollowing steps therefore have to be performedfor both halves. Note
  • Carefully seal the Micro-USBport after charging to make sure that the product is waterproof.
  • Note thatwater may affect the range and tone of thespeaker.
  • Charge both speakers fullybefore using them for the rst time.
  • Openthe closureonthe Micro-USBport (4).
  • Connectthe included Micro-USB charging cable to the speaker’sMicro-USB port(4).
  • Connectthe unusedconnector on the Micro- USB chargingcable to asuitable USBcharger. Pleaserefer tothe operating instructions for theUSB charger used.
  • The statusLED (1)lightsupconstantly in redduring the chargingprocess.
  • Ifthe battery is fully charged,the status LED (1)willgoout. Note –Charging
  • Ittakes approx. 3-4 hours to completely charge theproduct.
  • The speaker’s batterycan be charged whether the speaker is on or off.
  • Ifthe battery capacity is lessthan10%, the speaker will emit two acoustic signals. Youwillonlyreceivethis information if thespeakerison.
  • The actual battery life varies dependingonuse of the device, the settings and theambient conditions (rechargeablebatteries have a limited service life).
  • Check whether your mobile device (MP3 player,mobile phone, etc.) is Bluetooth
  • Note that the maximum range for Bluetooth

is 10 metres without obstacles such as walls, people, etc.4

4.5 Audio playback (via

Startand control audioplayback on the connectedterminal device accordingly. Alternatively, audio playback can also be controlled on thespeaker(if the connected device supports this function).

  • Press the functionbutton (1)tostartor pauseaudioplayback.
  • Hold down the+function button (2) to skip to the next track.
  • Hold down the–functionbutton (3) to return to theprevioustrack..
  • Brieypress the+functionbutton(2) to increase thevolume.

  • The speaker that is switched on rstwill be the master.
  • Ifyou are only using onespeaker, it is automatically themaster.
