Basic Safety Instructions
- The appliance is intended to be used in household only and similar environments like:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments,
-in farm houses, - by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
on bed and breakfast type environments. - Repairs of Cloer electronics appliances should be carried out only by authorized Cloer specialist dealers or by the Cloer customer service. Improper repairs can involve substantial dangers for the user. Moreover, this will void your warranty claims.
- Operate the appliance only at household-usual power sockets. Check if the mains voltage stated on the type plate is up to that of your power supply network.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Cloer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid damage.
- Pull power plug of the power socket

- Do not stretch the feed cable over sharp edges and do not tighten it too tight, do not use it for carrying and protect it from heat (hotplate, for example).
- This appliance can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- This appliance must not be used by children. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children to ensure they do not play with it.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water.
- Let the appliance cool off before cleaning or stowing away.
- Protect the appliance from humidity (splashing water or rain)
- Do not immerse appliance in water or any other liquids.
- Never operate the grinder when it is empty, as this could cause the motor to overheat.
- Never place the grinder on or near hot surfaces (e.g. stove tops, etc.).
- Do not remove the lid before the grinding blades have stopped moving
- ATTENTION: the blades of the coffee grinder are very sharp: risk of injury!
- The grinder is designed only to grind coffee beans. Do not fill in other food (nuts, beans, etc.) or liquids.
- ATTENTION: do not fill the container over the edge with coffee beans.
After using the device, clean all surfaces / parts that have come into contact with food. Information about proper cleaning on the following pages.

Before the first use

Read these operating instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time
- Remove all packaging elements and stickers, but not the rating plate.
- Clean the appliance with a damp cloth
- Place the coffee grinder on a dry, flat, nonslip surface.

The appliance meets the requirements of the applicable EC directives.

The appliance is designed for indoor domestic use only.

ATTENTION! Always unplug the appliance when not in use and before cleaning.
NOTE
The mill is designed for short-term high power milling with very high revolution speed. Stop operation after 60 seconds and give the motor a short time to cool down (approx. 5-10 seconds). After three runs of 60 seconds, a longer break (min. 2 minutes) should follow.
Operation
- Remove the bonnet, the lid and pour the grounds into one of the two stainless steel containers.
- The 2-bladed cutter is suitable for grinding_dry_foods and the 4-bladed knife for oily / moist foods.

- Do not fill ingredients into stainless steel container beyond the MAX mark.
- Very hard ingredients (e.g. seeds, ice cubes) and excessively moist foods such as apples, onions, etc. are not suitable.
- Replace the stainless steel container lid and make sure that the lid is properly seated.
- Note! The small cover must always be placed on the stainless steel container for operation so that the coupling is not damaged.
- Now place the stainless steel container back onto the Motor unit.
- Now place the cover on the top interlock and turn it anticlockwise until it clicks into place.
- Insert the plug into a socket.
- Manually press the desired grinding button on the device.
- Release the switch when the desired degree of coarseness has been reached. The degree of coarseness can be observed through the transparent cover.
- The upper grinding button grinds at low speed.
The lower grinding button grinds at high speed. - Pull the plug out of the socket.
NOTE
Many types of food are best shredded in short bursts. Additionally, interrupt operation regularly for a short time. During the pauses, you can check whether the desired grind has already been reached.

Do not remove the lid before the grinding blades have stopped moving. Danger of injury!
- Open the lid and turn the stainless steel container counterclockwise to remove it and take out the Regrind.

- Please note that the ground product may become slightly sticky depending on the oil content of the nuts.
- You can also use the 4-wing stainless steel container for pesto, dressing or spice mixes.
- Smaller quantities of coffee beans and nuts can also be ground on level 2 (higher speed), while larger quantities stick together more easily and become hotter at higher speed. Therefore, we recommend using level 1.
Cleaning
- Unplug the appliance before any cleaning.
- Clean the coffee bean vessel after every use.
- Clean the outer surface and the vessel with a dump cloth and the lid with a dry cloth.

ATENTION: use it just on the outer surface! Do not use these cleaning agents in surfaces that come into contact with food (inner surface).
- Clean regularly the thread in the appliance and the lid. If this thread is dirty or covered by coffee the safety lock will not work and the appliance will not be able to function.
- Never rinse the vessel with water.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, sprays or scou-ring sponges.
- The grinding blades are not dishwasher safe.
- Treat the appliance with special cleaning agents for stainless steel to eliminate small impurities (like fingerprints).
NOTE
Highly aromatic foods such as coffee can cause the container to take on this aroma / taste. This is normal and not a reason for complaint. We therefore recommend that you purchase an additional container - this can be obtained from our service department.
