- The appliance is intended to be used in household only and using in:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
- in farm houses
– by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
– on bed and breakfast type environments.
- Have repairs of Cloer electronic appliances carried out only by authorized Cloer specialist dealers or by the Cloer customer service. Improper repairs can involve substantial dangers for the user. Furthermore, this will void your warranty claims.
- Only operate the appliance at household-usual power sockets. Check if the mains voltage stated on the type plate is up to that of your power supply network.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Cloer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

- Do not tighten the feed cable too tight as otherwise the appliance is likely to tip over.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- Do not leave children unattended to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance in outdoor.
Protect your appliance from humidity (splash water / rain). - Let the appliance cool off before cleaning or stowing away.
- This appliance should not be operated due to an external timer or separate remote control system.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water.

Setting up
- Remove all packaging parts and, if applicable, stickers, not the rating label.
- Place the filter coffee grinder on a dry, non-slip and even surface.

Before using the first time
- Please read this instruction manual attentively before using it for the first time.
- Clean the device, the stainless steel container, the blades and the lid with a moist cloth. ATTENTION! The blades of the coffee grinder are sharp. Danger of injury! Let the parts dry fully before use.

- The coffee grinder is exclusively intended to grind coffee beans. Do not fill any other foodstuffs (other beans, nuts etc.) into the device.
- The device has a capacity of 70g. ATTENTION! Do not fill the device with coffee beans above the edge.
- Never immerse the coffee grinder in water or other liquids!

ATTENTION! Always unplug appliance
when not in use and before cleaning!
Operation
- Open the lid and fill the stainless steel container with coffee beans (max. 70g).
- Put the lid back on.
- Important: The coffee mill is operated by the button on the lid pressing a small switch underneath the lid. Never push this button with other objects than the lid switch. Ensure that the lid is fastened properly. Plug the plug into the socket.
- Stabilize the device with one hand, and press the grinding button on the lid downwards.
- Let go of the button when the desired grinding degree is achieved. You can check this through the transparent lid.
- Important: Do not remove the lid before the grinding blades have stopped moving. Danger of injury!
- Important: This device is intended for usage for maximum 20 seconds.
- Test how long you have to grind to achieve the grinding degree for your favourite
coffee.
- Pull the plug.
- Open the lid and turn the stainless steel container counter clockwise to remove it and take out the coffee powder.
- Replace the container by turning it clockwise.
- Wait at least 3 minutes until you use the device again and let it cool down to room temperature after using it three times to prevent overheating.
Cleaning
- Pull the power plug prior to cleaning the device.
- Never immerse the device in water or other liquids.
- Never put the device in the dishwasher.
- Clean the lid with soapy water, rinse it, and let dry.
- Wipe the blades, the stainless steel container and the outside of the device with a moist cloth to remove coffee bits.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning sprays or scouring sponges.
Environmentally friendly disposal
We use only environmentally friendly packaging for the transport of our appliances. Please recycle cardboard / paper and plastic packaging appropriately.

CAUTION! Electrical appliances should not be used of with the household trash.
Electrical appliances contain valuable raw materials. When an appliance is worn-out, please take it to a recognised recycling facility. Please consult the local authorities for information on recycling appliances.

In the event that your Cloer appliance becomes defective, please contact your Cloer dealer or Cloer customer service department.
Cloer electrical appliances comply with current EC guidelines and safety regulations.
Conditions of warranty
Cloer grants you, the private end user, a limited manufacturer's warranty. Assuming careful handling and compliance with the operating instructions and safety notices, we will be obligated to replace the appliance at no cost, insofar as there are defects in material or workmanship. The repair will be effected by repairing or replacing defective components. Any parts replaced will become the property of Cloer. All further claims of any type, especially claims for indemnification, are not valid. This warranty does not affect any rights of the customer with respect to the sale of goods in accordance with the applicable national laws.
The warranty period is 2 years starting from the date on which the product was first purchased by an end consumer. The warranty period will not be extended or begin anew or in any other way be affected by the subsequent sale, repair or replacement of the product. This warranty is passed on to you by your retail
dealer. In order to assert a warranty claim, please contact your dealer directly. If you have questions about your product, please contact the Cloer importer in your country. The address and telephone number can be found on our website at http://cloer.com or you can send an e-mail to service-uk@cloer.de As proof of warranty entitlement you must submit the original sales receipt with the date of sale and the dealer's address. Without the sales receipt, the repair will be carried out at your expense without asking.

The warranty does not cover damages resulting from
- improper use,
• natural wear and tear, - external influences (e.g. damage from transport, shocks, jolts, heat, acids, etc.),
• insufficient decalcifying *
• or unsuitable accessories.
The warranty will be void if the appliance
• is used commercially,
• is opened or modified without authorisation or
- if unauthorised repairs are attempted.
Also, the warranty does not apply to consumable materials.
