ENG Opening the chuck Turn sleeve (1) in the direction "AUF, RELEASE". Clamping the tool - Open the keyless chuck and insert the tool as far as possible. - Turn the sleeve (1) in the direction of "GRIP, ZU" until the tool is clamped securely. - With a soft tool shank, retightening may be required after a short period of operation. Unscrewing the chuck - Open the keyless chuck. - Slacken the screw (a) (note: left-handed thread!). - Unscrew the keyless chuck (1) using a spanner (b). Employ the same procedure when attaching the chuck, except in reverse order. Cleaning From time to time, hold the machine vertically with the chuck facing downwards and turn the sleeve fully in the direction "GRIP, ZU" and then turn fully in the direction "AUF, RELEASE". The dust collected falls from the keyless chuck. Drilling - Preferably in 2nd gear (high speed). - In the case of deep bores, pull the drill bit out of the bore from time to time in order to remove the drill dust or swarf. Screws - Preferably in 1st gear (low speed) and with torque control. Thread tapping - Lubricate the dies. - Select 1st gear (low speed). - Adjust torque control. Use only genuine Metabo accessories. h, D = Vibration emission value (drilling into metal)
h, S = Vibration emission level (screwing without impact)
h, ... = Uncertainty (vibration) The vibration level specified in these instructions has been measured using a procedure standard- ised in EN 60745 and can be used for comparing power tools with one another. It is also suitable for a provisional estimate of the vibratory load. The specified vibration level applies to the main applications of the power tool. However if the tool is used for different applications, with different acces- sories or poorly maintained, the vibration emission may differ. This can considerably increase the vibratory load over the entire working period. For an accurate estimate of the vibratory load, times in which the machine is switched off, or when it is running but not actually in use, should also be taken into consideration. This can considerably reduce the vibratory load over the entire working period. Define additional safety measures to protect the operator against the effect of vibrations, e.g.: main- tenance of power tools and tools, keeping hands warm, organisation of work sequences. Typical A-effective perceived sound levels: LpA = Sound pressure level
= Acoustic power level
= Uncertainty (noise level) During operation the noise level can exceed 80 dB(A). Wear ear protectors! Measured values determined in conformity with EN 60745. The technical specifications quoted are subject to tolerances (in compliance with the relevant valid standards). 17026985_1010 BS 12 NiCd.book Seite 12 Mittwoch, 13. Oktober 2010 8:31 08FRANÇAIS
